  1. OBJ has been nothing but class and a professional this off season and people still have the nerve to call him immature on BBI lol

Best WR the Giants will ever see and people still think we should let him walk.

    Ppl are fn idiots.

  2. Nobody minds restructuring if it's nothing more than a conversion of salary to a bonus.

Idk... I just think if that's the case its be done way more than it is.

  3. obviously, there's a lot to be worked out, but they should restructure other players to give him a deal similar to the one I've suggested.

He's the best player since Lawrence Taylor to wear the uniform...pay him

I'm not saying dont pay him. I'm one of the ones banging the table loudest for him to get paid, but for some stupid reason extending a contract in the NFL actually screws the current contract up due to the guaranteed money being immediately applied. The problem we're gonna run into (at least from my perspective) is the 3 contracts that would need to be restructured are Manning, Vernon and Jenkins and the only one I could see making that move is Eli.

  4. Give him 5 years 125, with 80 guaranteed.

He's arguably the best player that will ever play for the giants

That's not possible... at least not at the moment. We'd have to restructure at least 3 other contracts to make that happen.

  5. Funny thing about public protests, they come in many forms. I wouldn't be surprised if they find another way to protest before the start of the season, besides now the cameras are going to be looking for who isn't on the field instead of the massive American flag in the middle of the field.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I support their right to protest and as they choose to kneel, I will continue to choose to stand. Freedom of speech isn't limited to what you personally approve. NFL over-reacted to this and embarrassed themselves yet again.

Idk if you can call it overreacting. The league itself is in a really tough spot, albeit one they allowed themselves to be put in by not making a rule about the anthem when they decided to start advertising patriotism. On one hand you have the people paying that are (the majority of the ones actually voicing disapproval of the protests) pissed and boycotting the NFL which is costing them money. On the other hand you have players that are trying to get a message across by using a constitutional right.

In the words of Stephen A. Smith in regards to this exact matter, the owners are rightfully saying, you aren't protesting US so why should WE have to take the financial hit for it?

While I dont agree with the sentiment... I see the point.

Anyway... I'm gonna keep the mindset of, the easiest way to stop the protest is to listen... and then assist in the change that trying to be created. Otherwise there will be other ways the protests are demonstrated and someone else is gonna be offended.

  6. I wouldnt think so but the email they supposedly have of Eli saying to get something that passes for game used sounds pretty damning

Anyone other than Eli I would agree with you. I honestly think this is a case of overanalyzing a single sentence.

On a side note if you have $5000 lying around to drop on a damn helmet... something that isnt beneficial to you or your family in any way and you get scammed I have no sympathy for you. Put your money to better use.

  7. I think he might be OK with a change of scenery and play on the right side. Hope he is able to be successful for another team and has a worthy career. I wish him all the best - the guy certainly put in the effort and tried, he just wasnt talented enough to be an effective left tackle - thats all. I blame out scouts for that shit.

Didn't he get one of our OL coaches fired cause he didn't like the way he coached?

  8. They should offer him a one year 5 million dollar contract...which is exactly the amount of money they have when you take away the money they'll need for the draft.

What else can they do with that 5 million...only question is, would Dez take that?

He might if he wants to hurt Dallass enough.

  9. If the Giants don't vastly improve their O line (Solder was a good start but not enough), none of the above will matter. Then where are you? Another shit show season and two more ahead of you.

No one here thinks this line is anything special, but just moving Flowers from the LT spot is huge. Plus, my response was to your analysis that "Eli hasn't looked good the past few seasons" and I was giving you reasons why. When your offense is one-dimensional and predictable on top of that what is anyone expecting to happen aside from sub-par play?

  10. It's a roll of the dice and I'm not entirely comfortable with it...

But I get it... He still looks good sometimes, they've been terrible up front for so long that he's difficult to evaluate.

This... also consider that our offense for the last 2-3 seasons has been literally "SLANT TO ODELL BECKHAM JR OR BUST" and it makes it worse. Plus... 2015 Eli posted the best numbers of his career (minus yards). He's not THAT far removed from performing at a high level.
