  1. I shall try but the Giants upsetting me right now
  2. Haha that was funny...I am right here just waiting for the season to start I was actually going to make a thread starting on monday considering I will be attending the preseason game against the icelanders will one of my good buds. How has everyone been? and are you ready for some blueshirt hockey?
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2549330
  4. I do not watch them on YES or listen to them but I do know that he hates the Yankees....why is he now a Yankee fan? I hate front runners and people that come out of the woodwork
  5. Or the other way around.....you could also DH Abreu keep Giambi at first and get rid of Philips, and use Wilson for defensive purposes
  6. Baseball tonight crew(I know what they say means nothing) said that Abreu should bat 3 Alex should bat 4 and Giambi should bat 5th
  7. I would be so angry if the Yankees traded Melky.....I guess I am fine with the proposed trade but CJ Henry is going to hell of a player, granted he wasn't going to be up anytime soon but whatever.
  8. I really like Al Leiters interpetation of the games
  9. Scott Kazmir Albert Pujols
  10. I am not that proud of MR.Dolan so I will not speak on the subject.
  11. It doesn't really matter...Shanny and Jags on the same power play will be enough
  12. I liked Moore but we got a very good deal on this one, Hall is very good on the powerplay and go along with Shanny and Jags. We should be a very strong team this year aslong as Lundqvist can come bakck healthy
  13. I have never in my life ever had anything wrong with the Mets or there fans but since I have been reading and posting on the Yankee side of this forum I realized how iggnorant and ungracious they are when it comes to winning. They love to talk smack but they don't seem to realize that we have a higher winnign percentage and in our division we are not the only team with a .500 record. Be happy that you are winning but realize where you came from.
  14. Chances are that Sheffield will not be back with us next year which is fine by me if we could have Matsui Damon and Cabrera, we will not go after Soriano because we do not want to give up one of our top prospects for a player that we are not sure if we can resign come the offseason; and I honestly feel that Bobby Abreu is alittle bit overrated and would rather see Melky in pinstripes for the next decade than bobby abreu for the next couple of years.
  15. The A's and Sox series is 4 games....but if teh Sox lose tonight we are .5 game back and tied in the lose column
  16. Melky comes through in the clutch.....do not trade this guy for anything(I am just thinking about the prospect of getting Abreu)
  17. I agree with part of what you saying but you also have to realize that the team was not heading in the right direction and Leetch needed to be moved, I think that Sather handled it the wrong way. He gave Leetch no warning and Leetch had no input he was just moved. Mess was treated bad in 1997 but was able to burry the hatchet I am hoping the same can be done for Brian.
  18. Lauri is going to be an very good player and so is Jarkko...I think the worst thing that Sather did was the treating of Leetch this is why he said he did not want to come back. They gave him no warning and he felt that he was treated poorly by the front office. I would love to see him back for one year eh would add great depth and be able to teach the youngins.
  19. Are you serious but you will hang your hat on lastings 233 batting average? and can you tell the nice folks what Melky has done recently? or no
  20. I don't really range far out of the hockey section here, that is not to say that I don't read what people say but I felt that I would have to respond to this topic so here I go. I am a Yankee fan born and raised I think that only time will tell who is better between the two of them. In response to one of the things said about Billy Bean taking Lastings staright up for Zito but he would not take Melky staright up for Zito that has as much to with hype as anything Lastings has been hyped up alot and for acouple of years Melky has not, if you remember back in 2004 when the Yankees were making a hard hard push for Randy Johnson they sent Robinson Cano up from AA to AAA so the D-Backs scouts could see him play and they came back saying that he was major league ready talent and that he would be a decent player at best but yet through the same amount of games he has comparable stats to Derek Jeter who is a first ballot hall of famer. To the person who said "milledge has already had a huge homerun and an incredible assist on a throw to 3rd from RF, and he's had way less at bats. milledge has a much higher ceiling" I guess we don't watch Yankee games do we? I guess Melky's catch against the Red Sox didn't mean anything I guess his 4rbi game against the sox in boston doesn't mean anything he has done more for the Yankees against the Red Sox than Alex Rodriguez has done. Yes Melky has had alot more at bats than Lastings but that does not change the fact that Lastings has struck out 23 times in his 86 AB but yet Melky has had 200 AB and struck out less times. Only time will tell who is better I am not taking anything away from Lastings he is going to be a hell of a player but so will Melky and if you can't see it than all those wins have gone to your head.
