  1. He sounds like a poor mans Will Beatty. Meh...what can you expect out of the 6th round. Backups at best. The likelihood of these guys starting is low. But there's no problem with having depth at OL.
  2. I think he's a steal. Not sure about are line though but Gallman is a gamer.
  3. Generally can't go wrong with SEC linemen
  4. Check out the mug on that guy...it has NFL starter written all over it, lol
  5. Never played to his talents? In addition to leading the team in AP yards in 2010, the guy was first team all SEC 2010 (second team 2008, and Freshman of the Year). He was also the decisive factor in their SEC title game in 2010 with that 200+ yard game, where they later went on to blow out MI State in their bowl game. And that's in the robust SEC!
  6. How about his Junior year, his last year? He led the team in yards from scrimmage, and dominated their passing attack in receptions. How is that irrelevant?
  7. Chris Wormley is interesting. Can he play DT, in a 4/3? He's probably a guy that might be able to make that transition, or at least early on be a 3rd down pass rusher from the inside.
  8. Also, define "irrelevant." Irrelevant like Jones being by far the leading receiver with 78 catches and over 1,000 yards receiving for Bama, far dwarfing anyone else in that offense kind of irrelevant, in a passing attack that had over 3300+ yards on the season? A guy that put up 200+ AP yards and a TD in his last SEC championship kind of irrelevant? 85 AP yards and a TD in his bowl game, where the team took him out because they blew our MI State by 40 points? Leading the entire team in yards from scrimmage kind of irrelevant? That's pretty good for irrelevant.
  9. How is Howard Julio Jones?
  10. I will say though, although I think we need OL, and would prefer OL...trying to predict what Jerry Reese will do: I bet Jerry Reese goes DT with the 2nd round pick. I'd be okay with this route as well.
  11. There appear to be decent OL still available. I'd like Dion Dawkins ideally (2nd round), or Isaac Asiata (3rd, might be a reach in the 2nd, but I wouldn't be upset). I don't think we find a LT in this draft, but we can really beef up the right side (seems to be some intriguing RG and some RT prospects).
  12. All I'm saying is, illegal immigration and having a 2nd blocking TE are not priorities in my view,
  13. After we signed a great blocking TE this offseason, I'm baffled at how some people are upset with this pick solely because he's lacking great TE blocking skills. I'm baffled that some think this is like a critical skill that we need.
  14. I don't see why people are so upset...Howard was underwhelming in college, and he's no guarantee. Njoku is no sure thing as well, and he hasn't been used much in a blocking role similar to Engram.
  15. The guy is going to open up so much for this offense. Good luck defending Odell, Marshall, Engram, and Shephard. He may be undersized, but he's a tough guy. He'll be fine blocking LBs, and chipping DEs.
  16. Watch JR take Mahomes, Watson, or Tribusky (if he drops)...it wouldn't shock me.
  17. I agree he won't be as good of a blocker as Howard or Njoku, but I think Engram ends up as the greater pass catching threat and has a bigger impact overall.
  18. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2017/04/nfl_draft_2017_espns_mel_kiper_explains_why_jarrad.html#incart_river_index
  19. What's wrong with Jarrad Davis? A few mocks have the Gmen picking him, including Mel Kiper
  20. I like Evan Engram better than Howard or Njoku...not as a more complete TE, but rather I like him as the better receiver and better threat against opposing defenses, opening up new dimensions for our offense and causing problems for opposing defenses.
  21. In my view, position priorities are as follows: OL DT (yet this draft is pretty weak on DT) TE (although this draft has some talented TEs) LB Everything else is drafting for depth.
