Mr. P
The Denver Broncos have released running back Andre Brown, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Brown was let go as the team acquired running back Laurence Maroney via a trade from the New England Patriots. Brown has regained his health after dealing with a turf toe injury during the preseason and should draw good interest as a free agent. Brown is a second-year pro who was selected by the Giants in the fourth round last year from North Carolina State University. He spent his rookie year on the Giants’ reserve/injured list before leading the club in rushing yards (21-95, one touchdown) and kickoff return yards (7-120, 17.1 avg.) in his first gam as a pro during the preseason this year. At N.C. State, Brown played 44 games with 30 starts and finished his career ranked ninth in school history in all-purpose yards with 3,511 yards, including 2,539 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Source-Andre-Brown-released-by-Broncos.html

BleedinBlue
I say let Denver invest the time and money to work him back into shape getting him healthy (if that is possible).......then sign him off their practice squad once it looks like he is back for real. Tempest
The standards of special has dropped considerably. Now everyone is special because they were drafted on the second day. Holy shit, I didn't even realize we cut him. Wasn't everyone saying he was gonna be special? What happened?
