MakeMeSomeFoodHo
Im pretty sure he will start the year at AA Trenton, where he has already proven he can destroy AA pitching. So, what if he starts out like he left off, teeing off on AA pitching and the yankees bring him up to AAA.....at 20 years old(insane). Say he destroys AAA pitching(just like he has done to pitching at every level)? Would the yankees call him up this year? Nick Johnson could very well land on the DL at some point this summer leaving the DH spot somewhat vacant. Will they bring up Montero? Shoudl they? discuss
BleedinBlue
He's invited to Spring training. If he has a hot bat in Tampa, it will go a long way towards moving him through the system on the short track. I'm betting he gets a "cup of coffee" later this year. Let's hope he's the real deal and that he becomes a solid catcher.
Lubeck
Leave him in AAA the entire season to work on catching and then bring him up with the September call ups. Montero's future with the organization is either as Jorge's replacement or as trade bait for a marquee player. He needs work behind the plate if he stays with the organization and DHing at the majors won't help him get any better there. And if you have a plan to use him as trade bait why bring him up and potentially hurt his value by stinking it up against MLB pitching?

And the only player Id trade him for is a SS like Elvis Andurs and I dont see that happening.
NeMesiS
I like to see what kid has now. But Jorge is having a pretty good season so far.
Lubeck
Nem he's batting .238 and allowed 26 SB already, he needs time in the minors.

MakeMeSomeFoodHo
he is only 20 years old, there is plenty of time for him to work things out...in the minors. His early struggles dont concern me.
Lubeck
http://www.pinstripealley.com/ Down about halfway on the right is a pic of Jesus and his stats from last start and season stats underneath. From what I've read he's been getting better behind the plate, caught 6 out of the last 11 who went.
