Ditto
It would be a good time to bring up the kid and see what he can do against ML pitching. We almost lost Damon yesterday, and besides, him and Swisher need to take a load off. Jackson strikes out a lot, and isn't hitting for power, but is hitting .361 with a .441 OBP, and brings a way better than average glove. Why do we need so many pitchers in the pen, anyway? Lubeck
Why do we need so many pitchers in the pen, anyway? Because everytime Joba pitches it depletes the pen.

so-cal dub
Joba could have gone another inning... at least. I think it's more of Girardi depleting the pen then any one pitcher.
MakeMeSomeFoodHo
calling up action jackson is not a good idea. There is no need to mess with his development. He is only 22 years old and needs to play every day. The Yankees are nowhere close to panic mde. Theyre in first place and are getting guysl ike Nady and Posada back very soon. If Jackson comes up before the rosters expand in Septmeber its not a good sign. Id like to see J-Rod called up though. He's proven he can be a good bench player at the major league level and would be the perfect stop gap until Nady returns.
