just can't stay healthy... very little durability...

it really is an amazing thing, how many great athletes, with great potential can never actualize it because of durability.. guys like taylor and rogers definatly have talent, and great football minds, but can never realize it because their bodies just don't have that other gift of durability.... to think theres liike thousands of men out there like this too.

oh well, thats one of the reasons prof atheletes make the big bucks

Tyson Smith was signed to the active roster from the Practice Squad in November 2006. Smith was originally signed by the Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Iowa State after the 2005 NFL Draft. The Ravens waived him in August 2005 before the regular season started. The Giants then signed him to their Practice Squad in January 2006 before the Carolina playoff game. When the season was over, they immediately signed him to the team and then allocated him to NFL Europe. Smith is a DE/LB 'tweener who played both defensive end and linebacker in college. He's a good athlete with quick feet. Against the run, Smith needs to improve his ability to shed blockers. He can rush the passer. Smith is still learning the nuances of the position, such as pass coverage. Good special teams player. He flashed at times for the Giants in the 2006 preseason

maybe he is what we need at special teams right now.

Did Toomer go on IR yet? Sorry, I'm losing track. Awasome came on and we cut Goddard, right? If so, this makes a little more sense, since this would be a replacement for Arrington?

I'm asking this because that would still leave us a spot for WR. I'm not at all comfortable with Carter's brittleness and him getting more playing time.
