Three Giants Players Arrested at Marina for ArsonCoaching Staff Brought In for Questioning
Coughlin: "It was an illustration!"

Not sure how versatile the guy is.....perhaps he pushes Herzlich, Paysinger, or JWill for reps.
He BETTER push Herzlich. As a linebacker, Herzlich is useless.

I've never heard more conflicting reports on one player then with Nassib. One report says nobody has improved more from rookie to sophomore year then Nassib and another report says he is the worst QB to ever don a Giants uniform.
This is what I've seen, too. It's hard to tell even with seeing him, because he's stuck learning his second pro offense in two years. If Manning is still nervous, imagine what this kid is going through.
And if you're going to throw INTs, practice is the time to do it. Learn from the mistakes when the points don't count.
-
Put a matador hat on him, and he could have stepped out of a velvet painting from the '70s...
-
It makes me wonder if checking his eyesight was part of the pre-contract physical.
-
yes ....i'm having camp thoughts ...and yes this definitely makes me gay .
but in all seriousness .....with training camp only 4 days away ...how about a bit of discussion ?
1) Is Nassib really going to beat out Painter to be Eli's backup ? ( and would you be happy anyway ? )
2) Can John Jerry prove himself and become part of our O line ?
3) Will Wilson , Snee and Beatty make it back from injury to be starters for the Giants in 2014 ?
Its nearly that time again ....I can smell Giants football approaching !
1) Let's hope so--because Painter is simply awful, and if you can't beat him out after two seasons, that's bad.
2) Ideally, Mosely starts; and Jerry is backup. I don't recall anything bad about Jerry's play--just that he's a douche.
3) Snee, no. Wilson--don't you have to accomplish something before you can bounce back? Hopefully he can be the 3rd down option, so we get something from that pick. I think Beatty will be ok--just because I think Manning might have the occasional pocket to step into this year.
If McClain can play like Boley did (on his good days) consistently, I'd be happy. If the new players are good enough to end the "feel good story", I'm happy with the linebackers.

Warner's work with St. Louis before Arizona was more impressive. That offense was impressive...in that when Warner threw the ball, it really didn't appear as if he was throwing to anyone...just into space...only to have Bruce or Holt run under it. It's happened in other offenses I'm sure, but with that one, I just remember seeing receivers come out of nowhere, to catch the ball in a previously unoccupied space on the field.
My memory of Kurt Warner...after he left the Giants, in his first game against them, I was at the game. We had upper deck seats, one section over from the section they tended to reserve for the opposing team's fans. Chants of Bren-da, Bren-da echoed throughout the stadium. I laughed, a lot, only to turn to my then girlfriend (who wasn't laughing and sat there with a confused look on her face), and said, "you wouldn't understand".
I don't know...those Rams WRs made Marc Bulger look good, too.

Dallas is like the Yankees???
The Yankees have gone to the series this century. Won more than one playoff game. Dallas hasn't been "like the Yankees" in about 20 years.
-
I hear you...but I bet the stats for the previous year were just as bad even when we had a running game. Its just not something Saint Gilbride liked to call...why try to fool the defense...
I'm not trying to start a war here, but we haven't had a running game since at least 2010. Even when we won the SB, our running game was at the bottom of the pile.
-
If he comes back at all, I wouldn't expect him back this coming season.
-
Cut him. Then make it clear in the locker room that the whole "three strikes" thing is over.
This team has been at the mercy of too many off-hour activities--see Burress, Plaxico.
-
Returners are nifty and all, but based on what I saw last season, we need guys that can stop returners.
-
I don't know about this one. You ever see NJ cops in action? DWB is alive and well, and I believe they think all black drivers smell like marijuana.
I know the guy has a bad track record, but they didn't find drugs, all they found were "cigar shavings." For all we know, Hill might keep his car a mess, and those shavings might be from months earlier.
Cops never found drugs. Don't see any indication he was tested.
So...he's getting suspended for what, exactly? Because of a road stop and his history?
I stand corrected:
Still, if enough people are saying he's trying, then I tend to believe it. And, he's never denied taking it in the previous two times he was suspended.

“It’s a hoax,’’ the dad said . “[Odell] is actually seeing a young lady who went to Alabama.
“The only child he has is a pit bull named Dre.”
My god...it's more depraved than we thought...
-
Lets see how it turns out. Too many times the Giants have lost the momentum of a drive because of how we have used the clock.
Agreed. They're not going to say "we're playing a low-key style, and slowing things down."
Play the game.
-
Good points, and agreed.
I kind of cheated: this is about the draft--the only guy on my list directly affected by the draft is Reynolds.
-
Also James Brewer, Dallas Reynolds, unless you guys are assuming these two are no-brainers.
Mosely had better start showing something as well, if he wants to stand a chance.
-
Maybe Tyler just discovered Ace Face was a...
-
I wouldn't rule out the safety, either. He screams special teams to me.
-
I have this stupid idea in my head that the loser of the fullback competition is going into the TE pool. They're both excellent blockers, and they both can catch passes. I keep thinking if Pascoe could play FB, why not the reverse?
I know. It isn't happening.
-
Ahh....the written word sometimes foregoes an intended sarcasm. Been there, done that.
And I agree - I have no problem with a guy who can carry the ball forward. I'm curious if he can block, because that's something TC expects out of every running back. The guy seems tough as hell, so I would think he could block.
He's got the frame--hopefully he's got the technique. Or at the very least, is a quick learner.
-
He was drafted by my team: so I was rooting for him anyway. That article just makes it so much easier.
-
Actually, I was trying to be funny/smartass. If he doesn't have "natural hands," then I was hoping he had hooks. Be more devastating than OJ Anderson's upper cut.
I've got no problems with a pure running back, and it looks like he can make the most of holes when they open up.
-
According to all I've read, he has a nasty disposition and plays angry. He doesn't tackle as much as he attacks like a lion after a gazelle. And he's pissed that he fell as far as he did and promised to "make the other teams pay" for leaving him on the board so long.
Think Tyler Sash with a Ronnie Lott attitude.
Noticed that as well--very good open field tackler, and hits hard.

Wow...great observation.
The wait adds sweetness. Nothing ever compared to that '86 win--not because it was unexpected, but because it was so long in the making.
--------------------------
This team can't be compared to last year's team--too many new parts, concepts. Whether it's better or not is something we have to wait on.
