Don't reward Osi for crying But pay him next year if he performs well and give Tuck double what they give Osi unless JPP gets 10+ sacks and dominates then we can screw Osi over or trade him for a 2 and a 5.
I don't know if there is a Monster.com for GMs but you should really try and find it

Oh shit.. here comes Jack
I can only imagine the bill at the local dry cleaner when he needs to bring in his Nappy after he heard about this.
-
The sad part is he knows our cap situation.. it's like he has no loyalty.. and all greed. he signed a $41M contract.. how much more do you want? Honestly I don't think I want Osi back on the team anymore... he does more talking than playing and it's sad for once a favorite of mine.
Kudos on repeating my point. He knows he has no chance at getting more money with the Giants which is why the Giants told him to go out and find a trade partner. And they know he can't find it. Sure there are plenty of teams willing to take him on with his current contract. The Giants would be one of those teams too.
-
He already pocketed $21,000,000.00 over the last 3 years alone.
When he signed that contract he was one of the best paid DEs. So because the value of a DE is magnified he wants more money on the tail end? From a team already over the cap and needing room? What exactly did Osi think was going to happen? The more I think about it the more I think this entire situation is being manufactured by Osi.
-
He actually has a really good point.
That if he felt so strongly about they JUST had a new labor agreement put together and he, and I'm sure plenty of other players, could have fought for more stability in their contracts.
Teams being able to cut you so easily is a fact of life in the NFL. The players are well aware of it so to try and cry foul over it to garner sympathy doesn't work on me.

The league has changed so much in terms of player movement and the new rules that at this point I am taking a "Don't give a fuck" attitude towards player movement and letting it play out and see how these new rules impact the game.

It is a skill position where the skill is becoming increasingly diminished. A WR or TE first of all needs to get the ball and that requires the ability to catch a ball. A RB just needs to be handed the ball and the ability to be given a ball isn't a hard skill compared to catching a ball. And what they do from there really depends on the line in front of them giving them opportunities. It really is a position that used to be "sexy" but has lost all of its appeal.

the Redskins?????? are you Fnnnnnnn kidding with me
Yeah they can make a run
at 5 wins
Cofield alone will plow drive 10 TDs. You watch they know how to use a big fella like Cofield. His power shouldn't be limited to the defense.
-
Going to be very difficult division this year
Indeed. New York still has a chance to win it all, but I think the Redskins really have loaded up and are ready to make a strong run.
-
When they moved to Albany I didn't go anymore, too long for a daytrip and not interested enough to make it a multiple day trip. But with them being local again I'll go to one or two. Sonsabitches though holding them at night, I was looking forward to taking a day off from work

So basically Berman had this story written for publication on Wednesday and just needed the filler comments from Reese.

You are one funny guy BB. I need stitches after this one. Keep it up and Kevin James might need to watch out.
-
Look at the long term on this. The guy can't maintain his production over the entire length of the contract. And while it is entirely minor when it comes to Giants fans and production on the field having to listen to the orgasm Jets fans have been broadcasting over the FAN the past 3 days I am getting a whole lot of satisfaction knowing their wet dream is just that, a dream.

why not?
Because it is a waste of a valuable spot. Practice squad slots are reserved for two main reasons holding onto a player the team thinks needs some developing to get NFL ready and for a player that can help the team prepare for next weeks game. It isn't where you put a player who has no real future with the team. Weatherford is a proven NFL punter so there is no future for Dodge on this team so why waste such a valuable spot on someone who was given an entire season to prove himself? Can you name one punter who was ever on a practice squad?
-
good I like Dodge (on the practice squad) he needs seasoning but has a cannon for a leg
You don't put punters on the practice squad.
-
Well sorry to repeat news assholes didn't see a topic on his leaving. Go ahead and delete it mods.

Cofield is going to sign with the Redskins. Hope he doesn't turn into another Griffin.

Well I guess the lockout ending wasn't a universally good thing folks

As long as the meeting between Plax and TC goes well I'm fine with picking him up. Smith won't be 100% if even available to play to start the season and even with his development Eli needs a nappy blanket to be comfortable. Plax was his nappy before shooting himself in the leg and so long as he is motivated and can get along with TC bring him back. The guy has served FAR more than he should have for what he did and deserve a second shot with the Gmen. No pun intended.

I think Beatty needs another year (possibly 2) to become a solid starter at left.
Gallery (if you recall) was drafted no.2 after Eli, and Giants took Philip Rivers with the no.3 pick....then traded Rivers and half the farm for Eli. Most people on this board were screaming for Roethlisberger or Rivers to go no. 2 so that Gallery would fall into their laps.
He's been hurt off and on since turning pro, but I believe he is still a stud LT. I haven't followed his career to know much more than how he was tauted the year we got Eli.
How can you be pushing for a guy you admit knowing nothing about? Oh he was a highly touted draft prospect years ago that is a really smart way to go after free agents.
-
well at least we know they had a plan. This guy is 5 years younger and not coming off injury so.........

Yeah he wasn't THAT bad. He just wasn't a standout player, he isn't getting younger, and you need those backup/ST spots for young developing talent not a guy whose maxed out his talent.
