Would you start Osi over JPP right now? After a strong showing in the first preseason game I don't know. Osi seems to have one move, try and outrush the tackle and get around him to force a strip sack. If that doesn't work he seems to give up. JPP is a guy who has no real history playing football and he seems to have more moves and more motivation that Osi.

Hanlon has long been one of the most...."active" PR persons. Whether or not he is doing it on an official basis he has long been a strong and LOUD Giants homer in the media. And since he has been doing it for so long you have to think what he is doing is fully sanctioned.

That said, football players know what they sign up for and on any given play, someone could come away paralyzed. A tight end or a wide receiver coming over the middle to catch a pass is just as dangerous as kickoff coverage. Are we going to turn this into to the arena league and make the wide receivers start 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage? No, I think they will just make any hard, punishing hit over the middle a "hit on a defenseless receiver".

Asshole they did studies on the topic. It isn't sarcasm it is science. For an entirely minor part of the game those participating were at a far greater risk for life debilitating injuries.

Yeah it is all about trying to get an 18 game schedule. Has nothing to do with a Rutgers player and a Bills player both being paralyzed on kickoff returns because it is the most violent player in football.

Yes the moving of kickoffs was the reason we didn't resign a no name backup who didn't add anything a new cheap drafted player could provide. And how dare they want to limit the number of plays 250lb men slam into eachother head first.

so basically they are taking the risk of getting butt rape if they get injured and cut... they are seriously team players.

Not really as far as I understand it. The value of the bonus is spread over the life of the contract but the bonus is given to them now. The team is actually taking the risk because if Rolle got injured tomorrow and they wanted to cut him they would have paid out 4 million in a bonus that they otherwise would not have had to pay if he were cut before the season started.

As much as I've thought the past couple months whenever I hear a MLB player was injured "how the fuck do you get injured playing baseball outside of getting hit with a ball" when you look at the NFL injury ratio the human body is a really fragile thing.

Happens right after we lose one who could catch one pass a game.

So over half your lost players are injured and couldn't play right now....not exactly losing something when it doesn't work. Cofield? They have lots of young DT talent they didn't need him. Blackburn? Only in your fantasy land is Blackburn a needed piece.

If this kid is going to contribute this year he needs to get into camp.

Yeah but even if he had signed already could he be participating? Or is that only players who were already in the league and signed new deals that can't practice till tomorrow?
