  1. Oh and Santonio Holmes is a fucking moron. If you are going to call off a punt then stay the fuck away from the ball so you don't touch it. And even worse when surrounded by Colts players don't even fake trying to grab the ball. There have been so many boneheaded plays with punt returners calling off and they when surrounded making a play on the ball this season.

  2. You know I never had a problem with the Jets. Then Rex came in and the entire organization seemed to be about anointing themselves NYs team when they have done nothing. The boiling point was when their fans would call into WFAN and be gleeful that they got into the playoffs and the Giants didn't and that that made them NYs team. Fuck the Jets.

Oh and their head coach gets off by smelling feet.

  3. I don't have a problem with him remaining aggressive. How many times have we :ranting2: everytime we go into that prevent defense and squander a lead? It was the execution.. remember when Ross took the wrong angle and went inside?

Yeah the 3rd and long at the 8. That was the play where I knew the Giants were going to lose. And there is a time and place for a prevent and that was the rare time and place where you have an offense that is the best big play offense in the league with limited time trying to get multiple scores.

  4. For most of the year, our defense was outstanding. He did have bad game plans against Indianapolis and Green Bay, and got a little conservative late in that 2nd Philly game. So there were a few games where I thought the defense wasn't where it could've or should've been. I do think Fewell would have that unit playing even better next year. But I think we'll be ok if he leaves, as long as Coughlin doesn't bring Sheridan or Tim Lewis back. With Mangini out in Cleveland, it remains to be seen if the new coach will want to replace the entire staff. If so, Rob Ryan would be available.

No he did not. Getting conservative would have been the thing to do. They KEPT blitzing when Philly needed to score quickly. The Celek TD? Blitzing. The 3rd and long at the 8 when Vick scrambled 33 yards? Blitz. At a time when Philly needed to score quickly they kept sending blitzes that leave the big play open when playing conservatively would be giving up 5-8 yards but also eating clock.

  5. Good for Tom......10-6 is a good record, and a good team. And of those 6 losses, only the Colts and the Packers fall into "bad" losses....the other games, we either gave away of fell short.

On a side note, the literal act of kissing Tom's ass would be horrifying.

How can you not put the second Eagles game in the bad loss column?

And Jack...who the fuck cares about Lovie Smith?

Plaxico Burress is scheduled to be released from the upstate Oneida Correctional Facility on June 6 -- in time for training camp, if there is no NFL lockout -- and there is growing support within the Giants organization to bring him back and give him a second chance.

Co-owner Steve Tisch already is on record as championing the troubled wide receiver's cause, and considers him a dear friend. Co-owner John Mara feels strongly that Burress has paid his debt to society. General manager Jerry Reese yesterday said the Giants would investigate a possible Plaxico II.

Now defensive captain Justin Tuck has told The Post he, too, would welcome Burress back.

"I know that he's paid his debt to society, and I think he's overpaid his debt to society," Tuck said.

"Yeah, I would love to see him back. We've all seen how the Mike Vick situation has played out. And we all know that Plaxico is one of the most talented wide receivers to ever play this game."

Burress, who will turn 34 in August, is serving a two-year sentence on weapons-possession and reckless-endangerment charges stemming from the infamous November 2008 nightclub incident in which he shot himself in the leg.

"Whether he's here, or wherever he comes back, he's gonna come back with a chip on his shoulder trying to prove a point," Tuck said. "So, as a defensive player, I would much rather that guy be on our team than not. And plus, he's a difference-maker. I would love to see him back."

Tuck was asked if he would lobby for Burress.

"If my owner came and asked me what I thought, I would tell him exactly what I just told you," Tuck said.

Eli Manning has been hampered by not having a red-zone threat like the 6-foot-5 Burress. Coach Tom Coughlin would have to sit down with Burress and be convinced he would not disrupt the team concept Coughlin has built.

"We investigate everything," Reese said. "When that situation arises, we will investigate that."

  7. Steve Smith and Cofield are worth every penny. Pascoe and Grant will probably be value signings as to they probably won't be picked up anywhere else....not to start anyway.

Boss and Bradshaw because I don't want to waste any draft picks on either of these positions....the fact is, though, we really do need to at running back.

Smith is going to have or has already had micro fracture sugary, As far as athletic performance goes I don't know of a surgery that is more detrimental.

Cofield does a great job. But a high energy DT, and that is all he is,....well you can replace that. Find some young kid and motivate him. Same talent level? Doubtful. Which is why you bully Cofield into a team friendly deal.

Honestly if I were a team owner I would be go full scale bully on my talent. The NFL is so open in terms of talent that if you have proven yourself you can get a contract, but given the labor situation anything is possible.

  8. Boss, Bradshaw, Cofield, Steve Smith...and maybe Deon Grant and Pascoe....other than that, don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

Boss, Bradshaw, Co....hell every one of the ones you want back are going to want more than they are worth.

  9. LB Chase Blackburn Zero interest unless he takes league minimum. Not a starter only a special teams guy and not worth any extra money.

OL Kevin Boothe He played well when he had to and even stepped in at center in the final game. I would look to find a two year deal because he has talent and knows the system.

TE Kevin Boss A definite bring back unless he asks for an unreasonable number. Blocks well and has shown on numerous occasions he can make a clutch catch.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw This one is tough. I don't think in my lifetime I've ever seen a little guy fight so hard for that extra yard. At the same time while fighting for that yard he will sometimes give up the ball. I'm a conservative guy so again 2 year contract at a reasonable rate.

    DB Courtney Brown Who?

LB Keith Bulluck Fuck off old man. You did NOTHING.

WR Michael Clayton I at least know who you are but you still suck. Fuck off.

DT Barry Cofield Bring him back. He seemed to be the only person who recognized a screen and disrupted a lot of them this season. That to me says he was studying film and remembered what he saw.

S Deon Grant This one I am borderline on. He made a lot of great plays as the third safety. If the money works he deserves a spot.

WR Derek Hagan Nothing more than a training camp invite. Talent level just isn't there.

WR Domenik Hixon Check his health before any decision. Great punt returner, something the team lacked all season long.

    S Michael Johnson No thanks

DE Mathias Kiwanuka Toughest decision yet. Depends entirely on how he recovers and what he wants

OL Jamon Meredith Who the fuck is this asshole?

TE Bear Pascoe Cut Hedgecock and replace him with this guy.

    WR Darius Reynaud FUCK YOU

WR Steve Smith Biggest question is health. If not for the knee injury he would be an easy resign.

    QB Jim Sorgi Fuck off

DE Dave Tollefson Meh not a great talent but serviceable. At the right price he does contribute to ST.

RB DJ Ware Running backs are easily replaceable and aside from returning kicks what has he ever done?

LB Gerris Wilkinson Never lived up to his potential goodbye

CB Brian Witherspoon Fuck this asshole

  10. And with the looming lockout, dumping a Super Bowl winning coach after a 10-6 season isn't exactly a no-brainer.

I love when a Peter King or Mike Florio is on a sports talk radio show and they bring this point up like it is some original analysis they thought of when for weeks it has been part of the coaching change discussion. "So and so team will no doubt be looking in house for a potential new head coach since with the lockout any new head coach won't have access to the team until training camp or later"
