1 step closer to the playoffs.

A win on the score card is one thing. How that W was earned is nother. How they played this evening does not inspire me at all.

They get a pass from me, must have been extremely hard to focus this week with the lay over, unsure where/when/if the game was going to be played. They still managed to run the ball very well and hold one of the best backs in the game today to just a handfull of yards.

 

 

Not to mention the difficulty of not looking ahead to next week against the Eagles.

That is the saving grace from this game even with all the distractions they won. I just worry becaue for numerous weeks now there has been no pass defense.

Eli was bad.

Viking receivers were able to get open easily...and in a manner we have seen all to often. Wide open on zone coverages that didn't cover shit.

Really what saved this game was the running game. And the attempt at that only came well after everything else failed. The saddest part is that Joe Buck and Troy Aikmen identified TC going to Gilfuck and telling him to focus on the run game before any serious attempt was made to establish the run.

This team is not complete enough to make a serious impact in the post season. The defense is weak against the pass. The offense is weak to move the ball. And I really don't see any quick fixes that can change either of those conclusions.

I hate to repeat what others have already said but when Vick leaves the pocket the officials view it differently. Brady or Eli or insert pocket passer name going out of the pocket to run they are still in the minds of the officials a quarterback. Vick leaving the pocket and running he becomes a legit target because of his skills. Can't have it both way Dog Killer.

Textbook example just happened where Vick would be pissed that no flag was thrown. He was running and just before he got out of bounds he was pushed. Of course if it was any other QB it would be thrown because those QBs wouldn't be fighting for an extra yard. Vick being the runner he is goes for the extra yard and gets contact.

Ridiculous...people have to suffer because of acts of GOD concerning arbitrary NFL/TV rules.

So in whose favor is that? The owners of playoff teams I could see wanting access to quality players to reinforce their teams down the stretch. The players could want to go from a losing team to a contending team. I know it isn't like baseball where individual performance is the key to success not knowing the gameplan/team system but why not move the deadline?

The NFL deadline is after six weeks so yeah the only way to get him is either on the waiver wire (NO one is going to grab him there since you have to pick up his contract) or pick him up later.

I don't know in whose favor I would say extending the trade deadline falls into, owners vs players, but the new CBA HAS to move the trade deadline later into the season. The deadline needs to be at a time period where there are teams clearly out of the running and willing to give up some players.

It comes with the job dog-killer. In particular a player like yourself who extends plays beyond what pocket passers would do. You should feel luck Goodell let you back into the league.

Boomer may be on by himself tomorrow....his sidekick might be rushed to the hospital after jumping off of a stool with a towel wrapped around his neck....only kidding.

I dunno I like having a brazen coach like Rex Ryan. And my opinion is clearly influenced by the KSK Rex Ryan who is one of the most hilarious creations in recent history especially because I can fully believe KSK Rex acts like the real Rex. And the Jets have been such a horrible team for so long it doesn't bother me to see them have some success. My problem is they are trying to actively and openly become the dominant NY football team. That pisses me off.

But at the end of the day I still remember Brady and Co. scoffing at the idea that they could be limited to 17 points when Plax predicted a 21-17 Giants victory. And then they got stuck at 14.

Fox has such a horrible staff. If we aren't stuck with Moose and Goose we get Buck and Aikman. And based on his weekly performance with Fatsayso we get Aikman and Buck for the rest of the season after this Sunday bar flex scheduling.
