I am not too sure that would be in the best interest to the team. I believe the IRDR rule is to be used only once a year per team and I am not to sure we would want to use it on a second string back. . Scenario Eli tweaks/ breaks his thumb in weak 3 we need to bring in a QB then the IRDR would be best used on Eli. . I feel the IRDR is best used on the #1's used in key positions.

There may well be some one who isn't even with the team yet that will be on the 53. OL Max Starks could be looked at or other players as the waiver wire will be filling up today .

I heard on the local ESPN sports show the host was talking about how he wouldn't mind bringing in Jacobs . at the start off the season 1 week away he should be able to brush up on Gillly's playbook in no time. he has been working out not just couch potatoing it up .
