  1. A cowboy, giant, and jet all in one shot. Good editing though
  2. The home plate ump was god awful today

Yeah. It seems like he's gone to a strategy that goes along the lines of signing a bunch of washed up players and hope one of them turns out great and make him look like a genius (tatis).

I'm just talking about with trades sometimes you win and others you don't. We got El Duque in the 06 and some of 07 season and John Maine who looks to be a solid starter for Kris Benson.

This stuff evens out. Dumb trade but shit happens.
  6. It's definitely a nice way to put butts in seats and maybe get a few more wins.
  7. First and 5 at the Eagles 20 late in the first half. We'd been running the ball well, passing poorly, and we need to eat off time so when the Eagles get the ball back they don't have time to get a score. Three straight passes, 15 seconds off the clock, we make a field goal. After their O flounders the whole first half the eagles march down the field, make a field goal, and steal momentum. That sequence of playcalling was inexcusable. I know it's just a small part of the entire game but it was awful.
  8. What did young and talented do for them last year? Smith is a nice complementary receiver. Complementary. Moss sucks. Hixon's decent but he had his chance last year. And I'm sure as fuck not pinning any hopes on Mario. We need a WR if we don't get Plax back. Period.
  9. What if Seattle signs housh, who they are supposedly front runners for?
  10. True, but the guys you mentioned came out with rare talent with the exception of Bowe and Marshall. Britt has talent but he doesn't have those guys' ability. I'll make it tougher on you. Can you think of a WR in the 6'4 range without superhuman abilities that was a #1 receiver on a contending team? That's the circumstance with Britt.
  11. I can't help but be a little mad that the chances are going even higher of 2011 being a strike season. This team has a chance to make its mark on the league for the next 4-5 yrs IMO. It's hard to project that ahead but I don't want a strike getting in the way of what we're building.
  12. You may want to acquire the guy who led the league in drops in 2008 but the Browns may want value for the guy who was a top 3 WR in 2007. With a stacked dline and a plethora of draft picks it's a reasonable deal, as long as it's not a first rounder. And we need a WR who can make an immediate impact as a #1. Britt has tools to be possibly a very good WR one day but I can't remember the last time a WR with his height made an immediate impact as a #1 in his rookie year.
  13. He's talented enough to be a top 5 WR and he's proved it as recently as 2007. This team needs a gamebreaker at WR and he provides that. It's easy to say "oh let's just bring Plax back he's locked up anyway" but it'll be a circus in training camp. There'll be too much stuff about him and if he gets off to a slow start with dropped passes then there'll be a lot of negative discussion circling the team. Edwards doesn't even need to be an 80 catch guy. Plax had 40 catches in 8 or 9 games with avg. production but he was arguably our most valuable offensive weapon. We just need a guy teams can respect down the field. Not to mention I think Kiwi will be an FA within the next two years and there's no way we'll be able to give him what the market demands.
  14. It's gonna be great but I think all time defenses are made through outstanding linebacking. Our LBers look to be improved next year but won't be at a level that will place us among the all time defenses. Trust me Jim I'm as excited as you right now. I can't wait for football season.
  15. Yeah and they also have a WR I hear wants to be traded... I read somewhere Kiwi and a draft pick for Braylon Edwards. I would love to buy low on this guy.
  16. Let's take it down a notch Jim. Ross is iffy at CB right now, no one knows who our safeties are, and we're still basically missing an LB right now. Top 3 defense? Most likely. But I doubt they will make it to all-time status. It's one helluva rotation on d-line.
  17. I'd almost rather him get the MRI just to be sure.
  18. It's official! This is a great move. Terrific off-season so far. Now we can be flexible with our draft picks and trade up for a stud OL or playmaking WR, or stay put and continue to add good players.
  19. I think we'll keep Robbins. We'd cut Tollefson and I bet Robbins would restructure.
  20. I'll be so happy if we can land Canty. All we'd basically NEED is another quicker LB some backup safeties and WR help. With 9 draft picks and the possibility of Burress coming back that ain't too bad.
  21. One thing about the Giants is it seems like they don't draft according to position. While safety and corner were needs the last two years, those players were up high on their board too.
  22. What if Plax wins his trial and the league says there will be no further punishment come draft time? I'd still draft a WR in the first day but it gets trickier. Maybe trade up for a stud tackle.
  23. Their o-line is reshuffling for the third straight year, they have 10 combined starts with all 3 of their quarterbacks, and have no receivers. It seems like the Jets got a lot of hype from February to August.
