  1. You're correct in what you say, but there is a reason I brought up Tennesee. I'm not the one making excuses or whining about the tough schedule. The point is that good teams with tough schedules do not lose to Detroit, do not lose to Tennessee and do not lose to Jacksonville (something both the Cowboys and the Giants did). But if you believe RaginCuacasion, we should be weeping for Eli and the Giants because, well, they had a tough schedule. I guess the Colts and Bears didn't have any tough games. That's why they went as far as they did and the Giants did not... Isn't that right, Ragin?
  2. Now I did it! You're all riled up again. How can anyone possibly defend Eli and the Giants on the basis of their so-called tough schedule when they lost to Tennessee? Did the tough schedule make Eli throw the ball to Pacman at the end of the game? This is one excuse that I will never use as a Cowboys fan. And, that's exactly what it is. A sorry excuse. Good QBs and good teams win when they have tough schedules. They don't lose to Tennessee and they don't squeek by Houston (on aside note, Carr was another QB who was rated higher than Eli. Interestingly enough, Carr was cut because he was ineffective Make of it what you will) And do you really want to debate "quality opponents" ? How many games did Romo have under his belt when he led the Cowboys to a win against the Colts, something Eli could not do at home with an entire offseason of preparation? How many game did Romo have under his belt when he went into the Meadowlands and threw a perfect strike to Witton with the game on the line, over the head of another FA that you guys paid too much for? 2007 offensive lines? Well, have to wait and see. But you will miss Tiki. Mark my words. I love the Wade Phillips arguments: (1) He'll do whatever Jerry says: Interesting, in light of the fact that their first round pick was a DE, something that Wade, not Jerry, wanted. I guess Jerry would be wise to pick up Coughlin after he gets fire next year. (2) He hasn't won a playoff game and the Music City Miracle: I especially love this one. Jerry was criticized for hiring Jimmy Johnson because he was just a "college coach." Yea, that was a bad move by Jerry. Tampa Bay ran Dungy out of town because he couldn't win the "big one." And I guess they were right. Any coach who gets teams to the playoffs isn't bad. Once they are there, anything can happen. Phillips will make the Dallas defense 10 times better and that alone, barring injury, will be enough to win the East. And of course, finding no legitamate argument to support your ranting, you fall back on the botched hold in Seattle. I would rather see the Cowboys lose like this than having Romo panic and blindly throw the rock to the Seattle CB, much like Eli did against the feared Titan's defense. Interestingly, had they converted the extra point, I still think the Cowboys lose thanks to Tuna, but that's another issue altogether. By the way, did the Giants lose to Seattle on a botched hold? No, that's right, that game was over at half time! My bad. And Sean Alexander was basically playing with 1 leg. God, I love the Giants!
  3. HA HA HA...Football Outsiders Success Rate???? If you go by that, Jacobs is also ranked hire than LT, Larry Johnson, and Steven Jackson. What are these people smoking? Please tell me you would rather have Jacobs than LT, Johnson, or Jackson... Give Jacobs the ball 25 times against a good defense and he will be exposed. You will see. And, I'm sorry but I think it's a little premature to call the Giants, or any other schedule, "easier." It was supposed to be "easier" for the Giants in Tennessee last season, remember? And Seattle wasn't going to get lucky again with missed field goals. And, of course, the Giants were going to destroy the Cowboys at home with Romo at QB.
  4. It is always good to hear from the king of the homers. At the outset, if you pay attention to what I write, I rarely pump the Cowboys. I mostly discuss the Giants. That being said, it's difficult not to be optmitstic about the Cowboys this season. I have six short, concise, responses to your blabbering beginning with the most important: 1) I cannot take anyone serious who posts a picture of Val Kilmer as "Iceman" even in an attempt to be funny. 2) I cannot take anyone serious who posts a picture of Val Kilmer as "Iceman" even in an attempt to be funny. 3) Rather than going game by game with the QB analysis, let's just cut to the chase. Romo had the 5th highest rating at the end of the season, while Eli was a disappointing 18. Yes, Eli was behind the QB from that awful Detroit team that beat the Cowboys (not to mention Philip Rivers ). More importantly, Romo took a team that was left for dead to the 1st round of the playoffs, while Eli took an alleged Superbowl contender to his second consecutive first round exit. 4) I agree, the Giants offensive line, as pathetic as it was, played better than Dallas' offensive line last season. Makes Romo look even more impressive. Imagine what he will do when he has a full year of preparation with time to throw, and doesn't have to manufacture time to throw. We will see this season. 5) You are a blind homer if you cannot accept the deficiencies of the Giants offensive line. It did not protect Eli well. Tiki, like great running backs will do, made something out of nothing many times. Nothing has changed with this offensive line except they do not have Tiki to bail them out. 6) I cannot take anyone seriously who posts a picture of Val Kilmer as "Iceman" even in an attempt to be funny.
  5. Trying to liven things up around here...it's a thankless job, Virgina Giant. Perhaps we should moderate...
  6. I make a post predicting the Giants battling it out for the basement. Interestingly, many of the so-called experts are not exactly in love with the Giants right now. Now, I do not put much stock in the "experts." However, it goes to show that I am not alone in my opinion. :worshippy: So I make my post, and the best that Giants fans come up with is shots at the Cowboys, and shots at me for being a so-called "troll." :blah: This is called avoiding the issue. Conversely, maybe you know what I say is true, and there is no counter-argument. This troll does not know. And you wonder why I come on once a month and never respond...Do you homers ever post anything that justifies a response? P.S. You people jumping on the Brandon Jacobs bandwagon cleary do not appreciate what Tiki Barber meant to your franchise. He carried that overrated QB and mediocre offensive line by slipping and cutting through non-existant holes. I can't wait to see Brandon Jacobs try and run on Dallas behind that same sive... And I can't wait to watch Eli try to pass with no running game to speak of...
  7. Testy...Let me guess, you also root for the Yankees...
  8. vs. The New York Giants Is there any reason to believe that this will not be the battle for the NFC East basement this year? I expect a spirited bout and predict that the team with the fewest injuries will take third place. If Eli reaches his full potential there is no reason why the G-Men can't pull this one out...
  9. Hey Virginia Giant! I hope you are well. If you are referring to the deleted posts, we may becoming Giants.com. And the posts were not even that inflammatory. They simply focused on the relevancy of the Yankees...
  10. Need a Hug. All of my Yankee post keep being deleted. I did not realize that the Yankee fans were this fragile... Keep your chins up...Only four more months of pain and frustration. And I'm sure that the Giants will make you feel better in Sept...
  11. What an offseason Giants fans... :worshippy: The Cowboys could have done nothing and still get two easy wins....
  12. COWBOYS 38 Falcons 28 It will be interesting to see if the Giants can somehow earn the right to play in Texas Stadium come January.
  13. COWBOYS 23 GIANTS 20 Like I said, the Giants will be a d i s t a n t second...
  14. The Magic Eightball says "outlook not so good." HA HA HA HA...
  15. Cowboys 38 Bucs 10 Titans 24 Giants 21
  16. Jags 26 Giants 10 Any questions?
  17. HA HA HA... The Steelers of the 70's...The 49ers of the 80's...The Cowboys of the 90's...and the Pats of 2000's...NFL's Dynasties... But NY is the road to the broadcast booth... Go Tiki!!!
  18. Tie? Giants will be a distant second. It's just a matter of time now.
  19. A loss in Jacksonville will be too much for this team to overcome.
  20. You've got it all wrong. :brooding: You're a Texas baseball fan when NY baseball teams are better. And you're routing for a NY football team, when Texas football is better. Make your sports life less stressful and more enjoyable and SWITCH IT UP ALREADY!
  21. I may go. A family friend who is a Giants season ticket holder usually gives me the Dallas game. As much as I enjoy being in the friendly confines of Giants stadium with 60,000 of you fine people, sometimes I prefer to watch the game at home.
  22. I hope they double Owens. Romo will be even better. They do have other players that can catch and run.
  23. The Cowboys will not need tiebreakers to win this division. It'll be wrapped up by Christmas...
  24. It's a honor and a pleasure to converse with you again, Mr. Stroud. I hope you are well. I don't think Romo has clay feet when preasured. But he will make some bad decisions.
