  1. Oh boy, BigBlue! You're one in a million... God, I love this place...
  2. Dog, you are trying to reason with someone who idolizes Val Kilmer as the "Ice Man." I stopped attempting to reason with him when I determined that he could not add...or was it read? :bye:
  3. I don't know Bigblue. Based on my brief research, LT played 13 years (1981-1993). In those 13 years, the Giants only won the NFC East 3 times and, they finished 2nd 4 times. So, more than half of LT's career the Giants were 3rd or worse...I believe the Cowboys won the East 4 times during LTs career and the Superbowl twice...Hell, Washingon finished first 5 times and won the Superbowl 3 times... Was he really single-handedly killing any "team" ? Two of LT's rivals feared him so much that they won 5 Superbowls...I don't know what you are referring to that "didn't help." Something worked, didn't it?
  4. You can't sweep them every time. And I'm a point dodger? Bigblue, in the past month, you have made no points to dodge... Us? Bigblue, do you play for the Yankees? Are you Melky Cabrera?
  5. What are you babbling about? Since you have some much time on your hands, list the final record of the Giants each year since they last won a Superbowl and the starting Qbs. Then we will compare franchises...this should be enlightening to you...well worth your time...run along...you have much work to do...
  6. HA HA HA...When you are home watching the Angels in October at least you can say that you beat them twice in July...Are the Yankees even 500? Look it up and report back. I don't follow them closely. They are not relevant.
  7. Granted Tiki had monster games. But how did Tiki's monster games PREVENT ELI from completing 50% of his passes? If anything, the running game should have opened up the passing game...Eli should have had a field day...I'll bet Dave Brown would have...
  8. Do your homework. Monkey owns Torre. I wish they could play the Yankees every week...
  9. Actually, I pointed out 5. But who is counting? And my point is...
  10. Really, Eli only played well in 1/2 games against division rivals. The rest of the time he was mediocre. I also believe the Eagles were decimated by injuries in 2005, and that they may have even been swept by their division rivals... But I am growing tired of the Eli debate. As a Dallas fan, I am grateful to SanDiego, and hope that Eli starts every game next season...
  11. I would not be so arrogant to broadly include "all" Giants fans in that statement...Scroll up this post. Your the only one presently responding... But make of it what you wish...
  12. Actually, in many of their wins Eli was unimpressive: In 2005, 36-0 win over the Redskings: 12 for 31 146 yards; Giants 17 Dallas 10, Eli 12 for 31 152 yards... In 2006: Giants 34 Skins 28, Eli 12 for 26 101 yards; Giants 36 Cowboys 22, 12 for 26 189 yards... In 2006, the year Eli was supposed to show us how much he improved, they swept Washington, were 1-1 against Dallas, and were 1-2 against the Eagles (pedestrian 4-3). In the meadowlands against the Eagles, Eli had a chance to win it in the end and threw the ball to Cole who returned it for a TD. These are his "better" games? Really? What's even more damning is the issue of how good this division really is? Unless I am mistaken, the Eagles are the only team to win a playoff game in recent years years...Maybe this explains why the Panthers owned Eli two years ago...
  13. Sarcasm aside...I'll bet if the Giants players themselves were anonymously polled on this issue...nevermind...
  14. Since I believe that most, if not all of the QBs listed are currently on the Cowboys roster, I sincerly doubt that they will be forced to use any of their 1st round picks as bargaining chips. In the event that the Cowboys do need a QB after this season, my advice to Jerry Jones is simple: DON'T DEAL WITH SANDIEGO...
  15. Who can argue with this scholarly response supported by undisputed evidence and fact... But, for those paying close attention, doesn't this post explain just about everything? My mind thinks it...I say it... Really, this answers many questions...
  16. But the Rally Monkey owns Torre... Yankee fans, enjoy the weekend. Go to the beach. See a movie. Spend time with the family. But don't watch baseball. Not this weekend... This could get abusive...
  17. Who should the Cowboys replace Romo with should he not live up to expectations this season? With two first round picks in next years draft, the Cowboys can replace Romo with anyone they want...
  18. The Cowboys were losing to the Colts in the fourt quarter and scored 14 unanswered points...Romo also led them to the game winning FG against the Giants...
  19. Considering how much time you spend debating me, I think you would miss me if I left. Or would I see you on the Cowboys page too?
  20. I'm jealous of the big Giants helmet. Can you make it any bigger? It takes me 10 minutes to scroll past it...Disturbing...to be honest...
  21. Good point, Dog...Had Quincy Carter played for Bill Walsh there is no telling if the 49ers would have ever been stopped...
  22. Oh, Bigblue, this comeback is getting old, I know. But I can't resist: Eli was in a position back to win in Tenessee when he threw the ball to Pacman. The score was tied at that point. You see, Eli DIDN'T even put his team in the position to botch the hold on the winning FG... That is not what I would call "delivering." Interestingly, I believe the 2nd Eagles game at the Meadowlands last season was 29-22 Eagles. I believe the Giants had the football late in the 4th and I believe that it was intercepted by Trent Cole and returned for a TD. I don't think that was "delivering" either. What is even more interesting is that these two losses can be placed squarely on Eli's shoulders and, had Eli performed better under pressure, the Giants would have finished with a better record then the Eagles and possibly had a home playoff game... I could be mistaken, but a reasonable man could describe Eli as "choking" with the game on the line...
