No, but I guess a couple of teams, Baltimore and Kansas City being a couple of them, would gladly have him as their No 1 WR. In anycase, if we do pick him up, he'd certainly be an upgrade over Toomer. I love Amani, but face it, he has lost a step. Bennett is workhorse and if we do pick him up, he would be an ideal complement to Plax and Sinorice (if this bum ever does actually show up) and considering his work ethics, he might be able to supplant Plax (maybe)

Im not comparing a 4-12 team or an 8-8 team just purely based on records. Im just saying, if we were 4-12 and bottom of the division with entirely classy players, we would have way more fans upset calling for heads to roll as compared to 8-8 record with players doing some goofy things on the field. Im not satisfied one bit with what this team did this year, but atleast they gave us a reason to watch games until december instead of showing all class and packing it all in with a 4-12 season. These players were doing the same thing when we were 6-2 and top of the division. But no-one mentioned these low-classy things then, it was all fine as long as we got the victory. Point being, losing is a disease, and once a team keeps losing, all such non-factors are also blown up. Win, and everything will be forgotten.

He would be a decent fit. But he is too good to be a No 3. If we do take him, Toomer will have to be displaced if he doesnt retire. Neither Toomer or Bennett would agree to No 3.

At 4-12, even if the players wear wearing 'Medals of Honour for exceptional behaviour' we would still be burning them at the stake for playing fucking poorly. As fans, fans want their team to win! If they are classy enroute to victory even better. But they just need to win. As long as the team wins, the fans dont make the players and their class to be of primary importance. Look at the Raiders, they won a lot while being complete assholes all the time, nobody said their fanbase diminished because the players didnt show class?? Infact, it exponentially increased.

Bottomline - Fans want their teams to win and win fairly, they dont bother too much if the players did the jerking off sign to opponents, as long as they backed it up and won!

Nice Article, but if we were still in the playoffs or if we had won the division, nobody would be talking about the 'low-class' stuff. This team just played with no intelligence, thats all. And that seeped down from the coaching. It had nothing to do with class or no-class. This team was and still is frustrated with its inept coaches, especially the co-ordinators but noone said anything because he didnt want to be called a 'coach-killer'. We were performing poorly and stupidly in all aspects of football. This whole 'no-class' stuff is the least of our problems. Keep wining, play smart, nobody would bother about this shit.
