  1. Good CB's don't grow on trees, you can make up for an average LB corps if you have a good/great D-line but if you can't cover a reciever it's not gonna matter how good the rest of the defensive side of the ball is.

True, but our recent of history of evaluating CBs has been attrocious and everytime they pick a CB with a top pick I get a little jittery.

The Wills sucked ass like nobody's business. Webster is playing like a bum and has shown no improvement. Madison belongs in an asylum. I hope Ross changes all that.

  2. You make a great argument. I mean if the guy was any good, why would a team let him go. By the same token, we're not expecting a superstar. If the guy can play at or slightly at the same level as Luke minus the false starts and the back spasms, it's a definite upgrade.

As far as us getting someone else's castoffs, that's life in FA. Every team does it.

Only we do that. We let Ponder go.

  3. I guess they felt CB was a bigger concern, especially since they knew they were moving kiwi to OLB. I would have liked to take Poz and then Wright in the second, but i guess Ross and Smith have a good chance tro help right away.

Lets hope you are right. But seriously, Id have creamed my pants if we had landed Poz. Oh well, lets hope atleast 4-5 of them can make an impact and soon.

  4. I'm with you on the Pusluzny thing. I just don't want another "me-first" problem child on the team, and I don't think our front office does either.

Our front office doesnt know jackshit about diddlysquat!! Coughlin is here - Question answered!

  5. Ice do not forget that Tiki's best years were under that terrible tyrant Tom C. Coughlin had Tiki adjust the way he carried the ball and made him an all pro RB. Now Coughlin is not my fav coach but some of this is ridiculous.

We will never know if it was truly Coughlin that solved his fumbling problems or not, but he did have some great years. But the majority of that was Tiki being supremely talented and not stellar coaching from Coughlin. What I dont understand is when the entire world and their grandmothers can see that Coughlin has the IQ of doorknob, poor talent evaluator, hires even more idiotic assistants so that he can look good, cannot inspire the team, cannot make coaching decisions and cannot prepare a team smartly, then why the hell is this dumbfuck still part of this organisation. He seems to love his doghouse so much that he puts a whole bunch of people in there. Fucking Willie Ponder, one of the most prolific returners in the league was let go because of some foolish dog house nonsense? Bastard!

  6. I don't know... reading between the lines, he kind of sounds like a jerk to me.

    "I already know everything."

"I can intimately know a whole defense from a 45-minute interview. I'm THAT good."

"I'll trust anyone who's got the same religion as me; otherwise you're out."

"I'm so good, I can refer to myself in the third person. I can do everything those guys do and more."

This interview, the gun thing, AND the Miami brawl.... Red Flags for me all around.

Wow. You are a hard man to please.

Either way, Id cream my pants if the Giants can land Posluzny. What are our realistic chances of getting him? If not PP, then Id be more than happy to have this guy.

  7. Worst part is, we are all sitting here putting Tiki on a stake while that dumbfuck douchebag egomaniac foolish Tom Coughlin is still there and has actually been given a fucking extension by our wonderful organisation! sheesh!

  8. You know, I dug up this old thread to see if I still felt the same way about everything... and the answer is yes.

Man, would I love it if we could unload Shockey and Plax for some draft picks and/or to move up.

    And Eli still sucks.

    Bump for Eli sucking! :TU:

That sets a new benchmark for retarded and idiotic.

Dude, no matter what you say or whatever Eli is, we are stuck with him for a long time. I feel he has it and it has been the playcalling and coaching that is severely screwed him up. Lets hope it turns around this year. The playcalling and game planning and preparation was so poor that it was near zero! Lets see....

  9. A "Supposedly" good lead says , the Giants have contacted New England regarding Asante Samuel. Swap picks in entire draft...(Pats move up 8 spots in every round). With a third rounder and possibly Osi for Samuel.

I'm not buying it, just thought I'd share this.

Full marks for imagination and creativity.

A big zero and a thrashing on the balls for stupidity.

  10. A good player. But for some reason, when he does get the ball, he looks like the McDonalds kid running for his cheeseburger.

Full back is the least important position Im worried about.

Defense on the other hand......any position.......

  11. Forget stats and lets talk about his overall gameplay. His gameplay starts of great and ends piss fucking poor. 48 TD's and zero confidene in himself, sulking when he throws a shitty ball, and not knowing when to throw the fuckin ball away does not count as a good QB. He must have a steady year, from start to finish, to stay in NY.

How do you think that was possible with fucking Huffnagel not knowing the meaning of a steady game plan?? The playcalling was what was piss fucking poor. Its a miracle we won the games we did with the wonderful play calling we had. Lets hope its a little better this year. But I doubt it since Spastic Coughlin is still the coach.

  12. Ice, in Webster's case, it has little to do with Lewis, he didn't play well. Regardless of coverage scheme, he didn't play any scheme well.

But your right, it was pretty obvious this season that Tim Lewis's head was up his ass. That's why last year when all the bleating was going on about him leaving to be a head coach I said it was a bad idea and that the talent on the field covered up his shortcomings. He blitzed when he shouldn't have, he didn't blitz when he should have. He had the receivers play off the wide receivers but you only do that when you can get good pressure on the QB, something we didn't do "all year long".

I agree. Even in some of my previous posts I have always said that regardless of schemes, Webster was taking big dumps on the field. Which is why I said he was fast approaching bust status. But having said that, in his LSU days, he has always been a press-coverage kind of guy. But this fucking zone shit that Lewis came up with didnt have a prayer of a chance in working anyway and maybe that highlighted some of the players weaknesses, something any coach with half a brain could exploit. The new DC is more of the Linebackers guy and might be able to utilise and create pressure up front but Im not sure how much he will be able to make our secondary effective.

  13. When the coaches are shitting themselves day in and day out every fucking day for multiple years fucking up defensive schemes, all the players STFU and say the coach is doing a great job etc etc. But the moment the coach is gone, suddenly everyone is a loud mouth and we get to realise how fucking stupid our coaches actually were. If this was the case and our Co-Ordinators didnt know their dicks from their assholes when it came to preparation, why the hell wasnt something done earlier, and why the hell is Coughlin still part of this team?

  14. I still think Eli will be a great QB. He has got the ability. I still think his main detterents were the retarded coaches he was given with fucking Gilbride fucking shit up and Huff making him chuck it in impossible situation in a majority of low percentage where the execution was even poorer. Agreed he did make some throws that would make me wanna turn him inside out, but overall, I think with a solid game plan and proper offense he will be great. He has shown that.

  15. I dont think its a big deal or anything. Hell, Carter was gone anyway. And we got Droughns, who didnt exactly light it up. Plus he is a bit of a troublemaker with his problems with the law. I doubt either of them is going to make a splash at their new places. I guess this was more of a token move so that the Giants can atleast say they a little something in Free agency, instead of twiddling thumbs. Either way, strictly on player comparison, I guess we got the slightly better end of the deal. Now, this bum Sinorice Moss had better step the fuck up.

  16. Name me one coach that could have come in here and do a better job that TC can do nextyear. Not 3-4 years fro now, but this coming season.

We never did go after Whisenhunt. Neither did we even contemplate going for the DC of the Titans (the name escapes me). The Chargers's OC was another option. Maybe even a college coach.

But in anycase, this sticking to TC was the most fucking retarded decision I have seen.

I agree, TC is a fucking idiot. But, let think about it. What other head coach was available?

    Same as above.

i'd take any of the new coaches except norv turner and wade phillips over coughlin

Exactly. ....took the words right out of my mouth.

In anycase, atleast lets hope this time around the Co-Ordinators we have have an inkiling as to what the hell they are doing.

Nice - We have a former Linebackers coach as our DC and no Linebackers. Sweet.

  17. I have to agree you on this. J. Reese is doing a great job not over paying for players in this seasons Free agency market. Hopefully we can get quality players for a reasonable price.

Well....not over paying for players and at the same time not signing anybody also is a little worrying. More than not signing anyone, I have a feeling nobody wants to come here. We have a moron coach who for no logical reason was retained because of a Brain-freeze move by the front office. Then we have Tiki going ahead with his vocal diarrhoea on TV. Though I do not disagree with him, atleast if his dysentry and had succeeded in getting rid of Coughlin, thats something. Now we are in even more shit.

Oh God, I shudder to think whats this team heading towards. And plus, we have always been champion drafters. I cant remember the last draft we had in which more than one players came good.

Shaun Williams, William Joseph, Sinorice Moss, Corey Webster....... - FUCK!

  18. We haven't made a big splash so far in free agency, pulling a page from the Patriots' book (Adalius Thomas aside).

They ususally wait it out, and sign some middle of the road guys that fit thier system well. I'm wondering if perhaps the Giants are doing the same.

Also, there's always the June 1st cuts. :)

    Wait.....we have a 'system'??????
