  1. Talking about people who live in the State of NY, and why the Yankees are bigger than the mets in Ny.
  2. That must of killed ya to! Havin' to give a mets fan credit.
  3. ...No Jerkey, What I'm saying is that it's easier for a Yankee fan who lives in the city to attend a game, compared to someone who's a Yankee fan and lives in Buffalo or somewhere like that. But they're both Yankee fans, correct? Since you want to talk attendance, let's just say that every fan of the mets & Yankees in the WHOLE STATE of Ny each got a free ticket and transportation to and from the stadiums. I'm sure there would be ALOT more fans at Yankee stadium then there would be at shea. There...does that ridiculous scenario help you understand????
  4. No, never a mets fan. Born a Yankee fan. But in 86'....the mets were in the W.S. playing against a "team" that I hate and despise more than the mets........(just look to the sig)
  5. Hey, it was a mets fan who started this "Yankee excuse" thread. Were Yankee fans not alllowed to respond to this? It is in the Yankees forum. *and for the record, I did root for the mets once....
  6. I think I have a pretty good grasp on history for the fact I know that the Yankees have brought more championships to the state of NY than the mets have. Just like the two brothers, where the one just doesn't seem to measure up in the eyes of mom and dad Can every fan of the Yankees make it to a game?-No. Can every fan of the mets make it to a game?-No. It doesn't make them any less of a fan of their team, so the attendance record portion of your rant does not hold water.
  7. Get over the fact that the mets will always be the red-headed stepchild of the state of NY.

  9. about as classy as takin' a swing at an outfielder while a ball is in play at fenway.
  10. Espn and the Yankees really don't have the greatest relationship.
  11. He pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings at Detroit on June 1.
  12. Fuckin' game was called cause of rain, and we lose. That sucks! :brooding:
  13. You can never get tired of watching this: Boston Massacre 2006 on YouTube (kind of slow in the beginning, but worth it)
  14. The last two games he's had 3 HR's,and I think 5 RBI's
  15. He definitely needs to keep this goin' into the post season.
  16. Last night I heard he couldn't pitch, but today before the game, he said he could of pitched last night. Joe takes out Wang w/two men on yesterday, but leaves Proctor in last night w/two men on. Joe fucked that one up in my eyes.
  17. As long as they don't win their weak division by 20 games or more, I'll be happy.(Not for them of course, I have a bet goin' on that they won't win their div. by 20 games)
  18. For giving up on your fan favorite Johnny Damon. Not thinking he was worth the money was very nice of you. The 1-2 punch of Damon and Jeter is working out quite nicely for the Bronx bombers. I'm sure the red sux nation are also quite comfortable not having to wear their fake beards as they cheer on coco crisp. Thanks Again!
  19. He pitched in the 9th, got the save, all is good.
