  1. Parcells was qouted last year as saying Crayton has the best hands on the team. Although I like Crayton as a potential number two they still lack a young potential number one, as well as someone who can help stretch the field this year. They want to take some pressure off of Drew and this is another way besides improving the oline. Also with Keyshawn and Terry up in age and Keyshawn being is in his last year of his contract, they should be looking to get younger on the offensive side of the ball especially at WR. I did get two see him in the wide reciever "gallant". He did catch most, if not all, of the passes but struggled keeping in line. He was one of the better recievers performing that drill. Others that did good were, Avant, Haas, and Green. There were a few others but those were the most noteables.
  2. I agree, once Lawson shows up to the combine (I think tuesday) all the hype will begin and his draft status will soar. The only thing about them drafting Simpson is all the money they already have tied up in the secondary. With Henry, Newman, Williams, and even Glenn thats alot already. I also think Keith Davis did a decent enough job in his first year as a starter. If they can upgrade over Willie Pile and bring in someone else to get pressure on the QB, they could be alright there. Back to the Lawson thing real quick, supposedly the Cowboys showed Lawson the most attention at the senior bowl.
  3. You must seriously lack a father figure in your life. Dont worry though, you can probally get one on ebay.
  4. Right. Im not surprised with this or Green being released, actually I think it was this thread we talked about Whittle being most likely a goner. It was another forum were I stated I thought Green was going to be cut as well. Im not sure if anyone has seen this yet, so i'll just post it here. From KFFL.com Giants | Alexander not quite retired Sun, 26 Feb 2006 06:10:26 -0800 Mike Garafolo, of the Star-Ledger, reports New York Giants S Brent Alexander has not quite retired yet. His agent, Jim Solano, said there was a miscommunication between Alexander and the team. Regardless of whether Alexander retires or not, his days as a Giant are over. The team will give him the rest of the weekend to retire. If he doesn't, he will be released, general manager Ernie Accorsi said. As well as Giants | Williams may be restructured or released Sun, 26 Feb 2006 06:10:48 -0800 Arthur Staple, of Newsday, reports New York Giants S Shaun Williams due to make $3 million next season, is likely to be cut or have his contract re-worked after missing most of the last two seasons.
  5. yea, I think he might end up in Dallas. It depends how they target there free agents. I think they sign Fabini for RT, and then it comes down to Manny Lawson OLB or Chad Jackson WR.
  6. You like Moss... and the Cowboys....? You must have been pretty pissed when the Cowboys told Moss they were going to draft him but then didnt... huh? How did you feel when Moss swore to have his biggest games against Dallas? and then preceeded to do so.
  7. Chad Jackson ran a 4.32 in the 40 yard dash. No link, I witnessed it myself this mourning. (NFL Network) I also dont agree with the immediate dividends. If Jackson is being considered its for the future replacement of Toomer at flanker. Although Jackson can contribute, I wouldnt expect big numbers or even equal numbers to Amani.
  8. I wouldnt go with that site, Its a 20 year old kid who runs it. Go with Scott Wright from NFLDraftcountdown.com for a good free site.
  9. Although Jackson can contribute this season, selecting him would be more of a future move. He would be the replacement for Amani Toomer at Flanker.
  10. I think come draft day Chad Jackson might very well become a top option. He has by far the best hands in the draft and if he does run a 4.3 forty he would be a great pick at 25. Im not high on 40 times but I already know this guy can play.
  11. As deep as this draft is in LB, I dont think we need to go with two on the first day. I certainly dont mind one in the first, especially if its Jackson. I like Parham but with other needs to address we shouldnt go this route. I dont want Greisen back. (just going on record)
  12. Not really. If anyone watched Maryland (as I did) when those two were together, alot of the times Jackson out shinned Merriman. Thats not taking anything away from Merriman, but thats far from out of hand. Jackson is a very good player and I believe a bit underrated at this point. As Money said, Jackson and Ryans are very similar players and they are both very much like Antonio Pierce.
  13. I wasnt surprised with this although I did think they were going to restructure his deal seeing that the cap hit was going to be a hefty one. He lost his starting job at RT to former Giants practice squader Jason Peters also a converted TE as well as an undrafted player from Alabama. They tried to move him to gaurd and he was terrible. Now McNally is their Oline coach, us Giants fans know him very well, but he is a coach that teaches finesse. Mike Williams game is anything but finesse, standing 6-6 360lbs. He has had trouble with his weight as well as injurying his back. He is a solid run blocker but he is terrible at Pass blocking. He might very well need a change of scenary, personally I dont think he ever liked playing for Buffalo.
  14. Personally im not high on Peterson. I wasnt before his injury (yea even when he was a probowler) and I wasnt high on him at all this season. He did not come back as the player he was before the injury, he didnt even show a glimpse of what he was. I dont think he will be as expensive as most people are thinking. He's a big gamble at this point. I thought he was an overrated player to begin with so obvoiusly I dont want him.
  15. Im a bit surprised Foster got the Transition tag. The Panthers could have easily improved there RB situation with a FA or with their first round pick. Foster cant stay healthy and talent wise im still not even sure he is worth the 5 million.
  16. I dont like it either. I definitely think Howard is too raw for the 25th even if he runs well at the combine. Joseph is going to run his way into the first or at least very close to it much like Fabain Washington last year. If Greg Blue runs the 40 in a 4.42 he will go in the third but he wont, he'll be in the 4.5 range. I dont like Kyle Williams at all, he didnt impress me the few times I watched LSU this season and he didnt impress me at all during the senior bowl. The only thing he showed me was his ability to jump off-sides and thats not exactly a positive.
  17. I agree, I would really like to have Glover here if he is released. He is still only 31 and is still one of the best DTs in the game. Although he did have just 28 tackles and 3 sacks last season he played nosetackle in the Cowboys 3-4 system while spliting time with Jason Ferguson. He would definitely come with a hefty price tag but with the right moves and a few sacrifices we could probally pull it off.
  18. I meant as players who have been released. To my understanding Short hasnt been released yet.
  19. The following is the list of all the players designated as franchise or transition players leading up to Thursday's deadline (4 ET). Franchise players must be offered the average of the top five salaries at their position or 20 percent over their 2005 salary. Franchise players (unless they are exclusive) can negotiate with other teams, but any team signing a franchise player would have to compensate the players' former team with a pair of first-round draft choices if the offer is not matched. If a player is named an "exclusive franchise" player, they can't talk to any other teams. Transition players must be offered the average of the top 10 salaries at their position for the club to maintain rights of first refusal. There is no draft-pick compensation if a transition player ends up signing with another team. Here are players that have been listed as franchise or transition players for 2006: 2006 franchise and transition players Team Player Designation Tender N.Y. Jets DE John Abraham Franchise $8.332 million Detroit OT Jeff Backus Franchise $6.983 million Buffalo CB Nate Clements Franchise $5.893 million Seattle OG Steve Hutchinson Transition $6.391 million Minnesota CB Brian Williams Transition $4.774 million Panthers RB Deshaun Foster Transition $5.13 million

  22. I like the originally idea Money came up with. I dont like the idea of time periods like we did last year.. Also I think everyone should have to send a list to two members. One to Money and one to someone else, like the person who picks behind you. So if you all of a sudden getting the craving for a sandwich you have people who have your list. And if they are both not on at the time, send it to somebody who is before you leave to make that sandwich. People who want to participate are going to need to be responsible. If you have a problem with that, dont sign up. Give another person who will be here and be responsible the chance to be apart of this.
  23. lol, I wonder if SIG is still a mod there. Maybe I should send him and BlueSunday an invite.
  24. I dont necessarily think McCown is a starter but is still in a position where he should/can compete for a starting spot. You are right, it is hard and nearly impossible especially undrafted rookies. Maybe if you do update this you could include a 5-7, it should be a little easier after the combine. If not I can understand. lol and I can definitely understand you getting tired, you put in a lot of work. I definitely like the McIntosh pick because of his versatility, but like you I think he has a chance to be a probowl type player at WLB. (im pretty sure that was you who said that). I like Dale Robinson as a possible 4th round pick if I were to go Lb. He too has the versatility but is more of a natural MLB like McIntosh at WLB. I like the way you did things but just questioned that particular player and pick, thats all. I think there is a good chance Whittle is gone because of Snee's ability to play center, it was also noted in a recent article Seubert can play center. Whittle being cut frees up cap space with out a cap it. I like his versatilty but with one of our later picks we can easily replace him with a less expensive player. Interrior Olinemen are relatively easy to find. So I have no problem with making that cut even if we didnt draft a player to replace him. I still think we can get rid of one of the other players at either DT or LB to fit in a Tackle. Although that would result in carrying an extra lineman which we havent done in the last few seasons.
  25. I'll go over and send a few of them a pm. Money, why doesnt your username work?
