Im more fucking hype for this coach and team than the last 5 years of Giants football.

And they haven't even taking a snap yet.

Me too man. I can’t help but feel Joe Judge is going to bring us many years of great football.

Of course I could be jumping the gun here, but I’m definitely excited to see.

Don't get me wrong Golden is an alright player I see him as a poor man's Tuck, alright at getting to the QB and alright in the run game, he will help hold down one side of the Dline.

He just isn't worth a multi year high $$$ deal right now IMO.

Especially given that the Giants have invested in a lot of young players at the pass rusher a position, Carter, Ximines, Fackrell, Brown, Coughlin. Hell even McKinney is a demon coming off the edge, and they are hoping Williams steps up.

Golden is a good stop gap player, he is not the future.

Oh for sure. I wouldn’t want to give him a big contract either. I’m just saying this played out, so far anyway, as well as could be expected.

We get him one more year, and he is still motivated to try and get that big contract next year, so he is gonna play hard.

  3. If one of these other pass rushers can find a way to make a impact this year Golden should have hopefully his best year yet. While 29 is getting up there in age, he is still considered in his prime. Last year for that though.

Im glad he will be returning this year. He is one of the only guys to get pressure on the QB at all. The Giants at this point are a better team with him.

  4. I was shocked, but I reserved judgement till I got to see some film. I’m more than happy with the pick. I believe DJ will be a top 5 QB in the next couple years.

I would have been happy with the scenario you mentioned as well. Heck I thought for sure they were going to draft Josh Allen anyway.

There was a party and apparently these 2 lost about 70 Grand - but that was 3 days ago. This story happened yesterday and it looks mighty fishy to me - the only thing was the 2 football players were involved in the 3 day old incident. Ill let this one play out too - am not too sure I wanna put the blame on Baker at this stage.

Ahh ok. SMH I just cant get over how freaking retarded this is.

With how he began to improve towards the end of the season, I was expecting to see a much better year from him. Instead of worrying about dropping picks, he's gonna have to worry about dropping the soap.

Well. We been getting robbed by millionaires for a long time on Wall Street. They just plan it without a gun and their get away better than driving a Lambo

I’m very disappointed. When we first drafted baker I wasn’t sure about his character from the first interviews.  Then we got bradberry and I was hyped cuz baker has a mentor now.

lol amen to that. That’s why I specified armed robbery.

Has anyone read the story? Apparently they were at some party, lost like 70 grand gambling, then just pulled out a gun and started robbing everyone there.

Like people there knew who they were, and were certain to get exposed to the cops, and did it anyway. That’s some serious gangster shit right there. Now instead of living the dream they are gonna spend the next 15 years in a cell. This makes no sense.

    A few come to mind:

    - DL Keith Hamilton

    - QB Kerry Collins. Helped us out of the QB hell of the mid to late 90's.

    - CB Corey Webster. The guy had a rough first few years, but was a very solid and consistent starting cover corner over the next 6 seasons and two super bowl runs.

    - WR Steve Smith. Couldn't stay on the field, but still managed to make critical plays in the '07 super bowl run, and holds the giants reception record.

    - C Sean O'Hara.

    - OL Dave Diehl. I feel like we always give Snee and Kareem McKenzie lots of credit, but rarely mention Diehl and O'Hara were also good, longtime starters.

    - DL Barry Cofield.

    - DL Linval Joseph.

I remember going to a Giants practice few years back. O’Hara walked right past me as they were coming off the field. OMG the guy was a beast. Very intimidating looking.

lol I didn’t know I had it in me. Soon as I touched the keyboard it just flowed. Almost like I was channeling from a higher power. I knew right away something special was happening.

    How have you been Chuck?

  9. I expect the first half of the season to be rough. 0-4 is certainly a possibility. This is gonna take time.

I think best we can hope for is improvement towards the end of the year, and hopefully hit the ground running next year.

I think we should let him hit free agency at the end of his contract.  I don't believe the Giants can get a decent trade for him.  He has injury issues yet decent production when healthy, production we need now.

Yeah. Personally I’m ready to move on, but right now might not be the best time to do that.
I doubt it, but if they can get a third round pick for him, I say pull the trigger though. With his injuries I doubt they’d get a third.

Obviously what happens in FA could change the situation.

After his combine showing I think Becton would be a easy top 5 pick, a guy his size with his athletic showing is rare.

Wifs also made a case but it looks like he'll be moved to guard by whichever team takes him.

Honestly the Giants can't do much wrong.

Stay put and draft Okudah/Simmions/Becton/Young if he drops, then great.

Trade back and pick up a couple extra picks and maybe still get Becton/Simmons or another OT, great.

I think the biggest loss would be if they grab a WR or something if they trade back, lots of talent in round two at WR.

Yeah Becton is a freak. He has a lot to learn, but like you said a guy his size if coachable would be a mauler. I think they could drop as far as 3 to 4 spots and still get him.

I always felt he was a better TE then what Shurmur was using him for.

He might as well walk away with his health, no need to keep trying to play if you think the last concussion was too much.

With Engram only able to play 5-10 games a season, this will create yet another big hole they have to fill.

Maybe they should consider bringing in Whitten as a back up. He had better numbers than Ellison last year.

  13. I hated the idea when I first heard he was hired. Was totally baffled. The more I hear from him though the more I’m intrigued.

Imagine how great it will be if he really pulls off all the things he talks about. We have a damn 38 year old Belichick.
