that's ok though....i'd rather him and everyone else who's hurt be healthy come playoff time. no need to rush him back. we are still in great position.
we are down 3 DE's. Great position? More like survival mode.

Carter could be a top 10 WR in this league. I for 1 am pumped about what Carter could bring to this offense as a #2 Guy. On the other hand, it could go really bad
-
Man I gotta say I really dont know what to think now. Toomer has been clutch. Not spectacular but hes there when we need him. On the other hand, Carter as the #2 target could realy open things up for us. Hes just got to stay consistant with his catches. If he can do that we will be fine, on offense anyway. Burress may be out this week also We might have to turn Tiki it to a WR this week and play BJ full time. (think about that for a sec
Strahan going down is terrible. But I think we can make do without him for up to 4 weeks if we get a few guys back this week. Either Osi or Tuck. We gotta get Short back, and we gotta get Madison back.
-
LOL, guess were on the same page
-
My only thought is that he thought we were going to beat the Texans no matter what he did. So he thought he'd seriously fuck with the bears heads studying film this week. But I really just cant see that. It almost cost us the game.
-
oh i couldn't agree more. i know the texans aren't a powerhouse, but they have an abyssmal line, and carr is always among the sacked leaders. i don't get it. i understand about the injuries and maybe he was holding back, but he better not do that against the bears or any good teams. i thought it was hilarious when during the bye week TL said that we were already blitzing 35 - 40 % of the time and he wasn't changing the scheme. then the next few weeks we start blitzing like a madhouse. i mean does this guy think that we weren't watching the first few games? we didn't blitz at all. yesterday was exactly like the first couple of weeks, the difference being we were playing a bad team so it didn't burn us. i am giving him a pass on this one considering the opponent and the injury situation. hopefully we get back on track this week.
It just doesnt make any sence. How many times do we have to play cover 2, before we realize it just doesnt work? Our LB's and our safties strength is in the blitz. Our Corners strengths are man to man. Why the fuck would we take 2 steps back, after the last 5 dominating defensive games we had? He better throw that shit game plan out the window if he thinks we'll have a shot at the bears.
-
There were a couple plays offensivly that I was scratching my head over. But my major beef this week was that damn cover 2. WTF is up with that? Last 5 weeks we've been blitzing and playing man to man. Why in hell would we go back to doing things that just dont work for us? If we try that shit with the Bears, there going to kill us.

Yes. Any seasoned athleted would tell you that. All those hits take their toll on your body... and before you know it...
I just want him to channel his energy wisely and not try to run over everybody.
I dont think we have anything to worry about. Were asking him to come in on 3rd and 1 or 3rd and goal. Contact is going to happen. He just proves hes better at it than anyone else. The one chance he had yesterday to play a whole series, he was running to the outside, and gaining really good yardage. Very Tiki like.
-
Yes indeed. And this worries me. If he keeps playing like this, he won't last long in this league. I do love his demeanor but he needs to control his emotions to avoid getting dumb penalties.
It was an ugly game overall and we can definitely blame it on the weather.. glad we won... philly lost and it looks Chicago is coming to our house at 8-0.
If he keeps playing like what? The monster that he is?
-
I see no reason to piss TO off, when we still have to play him again this year.
-
Coughlins first year he had to clean up Fassels mess. If we win the division this year, it wont even be a contest.
-
"jay, why are we saving money on arrington getting hurt? he's still on the roster and he still gets paid."
A lot of the amount of his payday each year is based on performance. He didnt, nor is he going to
-
In terms of bringing in players, let's see what the Giants have done since Coughlin became coach.
- gave up the ship to get Eli.
- Plaxico Burress
- kareem McKenzie
-Sam madison
- Will Demps
- Lavar Arrington
- Jay Feely ( when was the last time we splashed out on a kicker)
- Carlos emmons
- Barrett Green (yep, this guy got paid)
Just in that list, is a bunch of players that ernie would never have bothered to bring in during Fassels days, and when he did it was guys like fucking Brian Mitchell ( a game changer!!!). Ernie admitted in the last few years that the Giants had to go the free agency route more than they used to. And if you remember down in Jacksonville the amount of money Coughlin spent on players....... well there's a common denominator there for you.
Thats how it works. You put the best team together that you can, and you make a run. Besides, we must have just save a truck load of money by LA going down, and most of our players are signed long term. We have a shot to make a good long run,(damn you Tiki ) and thats all you can ask for.
-
You guys are fucking crazy. We havent been this good since 1990. An you all have the nerve to bitch. Amazing.
-
The man got us a 4-2 record in by far the hardest 6 game stretch in the league. No one can say Coughlin has done wrong to the NYG.
-
...ok? But IF Tiki retires...the Giants would STILL be short one RB on the roster. So it goes back to "Who will replace Tiki?"
So then the real question is who is going to replace Jacobs at the #2? Not whos going to replace Tiki. Cause Jacobs will replace Tiki. And will be bad ass.
-
Fellas relax. Jacobs is the answer. Very fast, very powerful. He will be a all star
-
JayD, I don't say this very often so listen up...I agree with you completely. Fuck that traitor whore.
Well I'll take what I can get
-
I loved Bavaro like he was family. Thats untill the day the Giants meet the Cowpukes in Bills first game against us. Bavaro said he was rooting for the boys. Fuck Bavaro. LT was there too, but you all know he bleeds blue, and was rooting for our boys. Fuck Bavaro
-
I would have thought they would at least wait till this monday night game was over. If we lose, we go 3-3. Then the match up with the bears wont be as big a deal.
BTW I think with the Eli factor, MN games wont be heart breakers anymore.
-
I dont thin Atlanta has faced a offense as explosive as ours. In fact, I dont think there is a defense in this league that will stop us from scoring. If we can stop vick from rushing 100 yards, we should win the game. And even if he does, I think we still have a good shot to win on our offense alone.
-
I agree, but I'm still starting Ramsey on my fantasy team this week.
Cant say I blame you.
-
Why the hell do they call that a jump ball? Looked calculated and accurate to me. Under heavey pressure no less.
-
we're just as tired as them when we do the no huddle--just ask toomer
Yea, but we put the play calling in the hands of Eli.
COREY WEBSTER IS HORRIBLE!!!

Note, when we play man, Web does a good job. When we play cover 2, BOTH our corners look like its there first day on the job. Lewis needs to throw his zone coverage plays out the damn window.
