  1. This is not a knock on diehl at all. He' done fine overall. I think I'm been realistic here. Boothe would be a much cheaper option for them and after watching us offload seubert and o hara last year, he might be the next one to go. I tend to think mc kenzie is a safer bet to be on the roster next year.

I read an article last summer that described Diehl's contract as kind of tier thing. He gets paid a lot more for playing left tackle than he does at any other spot on the line.

He also gives us a lot more flexability than McKenzie because he can play guard or tackle on the right or left if needed.

I actually think McKenzie is more likely to be odd man out

this is from RotoWorld sourcing a July article from the BErgen Record

According to the Bergen Record, the Giants have informed David Diehl that he's moving to left guard with Will Beatty moving into the starting lineup at left tackle.

The switch will also cost Diehl $750,000 due to a clause in his contract that lowers his salary if moved off tackle. Diehl was already slipping inside at times last season with Shawn Andrews at tackle, so this is hardly a surprise. The pressure is on Beatty, who failed to beat out Diehl last season. The Giants offensive line will be Beatty, Diehl, David Baas, Chris Snee and Kareem McKenzie from left to right.

  2.

Eli: I BELIEVE! That TD pass to Manningham was an absolutely perfect ball.

We sit down close in that end zone. Very similar to the seats we had in Minnesota a few years ago so I had a real good look at it.

I thought that ball was overthrown right up to the moment before Manningham crossed the goal line. He seemed to find another gear for his last 2 or 3 steps.

    Truly a thing of Beauty.

Best game we have played since Plaxico shot himself in '08

  3. To me, I think this week, as it has all year, will be more about 1st down on D then anything else. If Turner gets going we will be in trouble. If Atlanta can run themselves into 2nd and 5 / 3rd and 2 the rush is nullified and Gonzalez eat's our lunch. Running well on 1st also sets up the speed merchants on the outside.

Turner on 1st down. there is your game.

  4. Mara and Tisch's greedy sons sure managed to shit the fucking bed, huh?

Two years ago Giants Stadium was sold out for the next 35 years... now they have playoff tickets available.

They got exactly what they wanted Seph. Not saying i agree with it but I recognize it for what it is.

As a fan, guys like me are their worst nightmare. I bring my own food and beer to the parking lot, I haven't spent a dime inside in decades and I rarely miss games.

What they want is one time visitors who bring the family and load up on food, beverage and merchandise at ridiculous inflated prices.

  5. I would be willing to concede that I have no problem with the Dallas coaching staff telling guys like Witten that all 16 games don't matter. In fact I would encourage it in any way that I could.

That is exactly the type of mentality that leads teams to lose 4 of their last 5 games.

Hopefully Garret et. al. will be their to impart this valuable lesson over and over again in years to come.

  6. cheapest tickets on stub hub are $185 on upperside 333 , row 24 ........that is pretty poor viewing isnt it .....price ok .....but not sure about stub hub , never used it before ?

you have to download and print out ticket when the seller makes them available ........what do you reckon ...is it safe guys ?

They will not fuck you. 100% reliable.

The upstairs seats at the new stadium are pretty far away now. ( one of the real flaws in the new stadium IMO )

at 275.00 you can get in an end zone mezzanine ticket which will give you a pretty nice view. I sat 34 rows back in the end zone at the old stadium and loved the seat.

  7. done it 3 times before Tree ( including the Superbowl ...wow ) but i will only travel if i can get a ticket.........and ticketmaster UK are saying that they will be available at 9pm UK time tonight on a first come first serve basis to US residents ! ( that sucks ....what about the rest of us bloody fans from around the globe ! )

quite a few tickets listed on stub hub already but they do appear a bit on the pricey side.

  8. The Dallas fans are right. When you finish your season 1-5 it is perfectly acceptable to take one of those games off as unimportant. After all you have earned it.

Now Romo can get back to important shit like working on his handicap.

  9. i got mine Saturday. trying to get seats on ticketmaster for something like this is a joke.

yes my tickets are taken care of as well. just though some of my less fortunate fellow sporthwrathians might be interested.

  10. Just got an email from the Gints. seems some tickets are going on sale at 4:00 today.

  11. The man played a hellava game Sunday.

Deon Grant had a sit down with him before the jets game and told him "I love you man, and we all respect you and consider you a strong leader for us, but my man just do most of your talking on the field"

Rolle said that was the best advice he's been givin in a while.

Guys legit and worth that $

doesn't this make Grant the leader. I guarantee that Couglin has been trying to get this message across for 2 years now. Just sayin'

  12. To be fair, Eli's overall stat line was aided by the fact that our running game has been shit so we have been forced to throw the ball.

But that just creates an opportunity. You still have to go out an execute and Eli did in spades. He carried this team on his back all season. The 15 4th Quarter TDs say it all.
