  1. TolliCam is not in the Video links its locked as of now.

The first installment is not scheduled to be made until Tuesday. Even in today's digital age, it is hard to stream content prior to recording it no?

  2. It's the way of the NFL now. I guess i should shut my mouth a deal with it. Hell I pay up every year buy new gear every year. Waste hours thinking about the Giants and discussing it. I'm an addict.

look I'm pissed too. we have 8 seats in the 5k licence bracket. 2 date back to the polo grounds and the other 6 to the Yale Bowl in the early 70s and we didn't eben get a sniff.

Yet in '86, '90 and '00 we hit at a 25% ratio. 2 In each year.

But at the same time, If they are giving preference to someone who gave them 20k for a seat license? Well i guess I understand but they should have been up front about that when they built the dump that replaced our old stadium.

  3. Prices almost always fall dramatically in the last 36 hours.

People don't like to make the trip with out the certainty of a ticket.

Almost always. Which is, of course, a big gamble if you are coming from the UK.

Unfortunately my group did not score any tickets in the lottery despite having had some of our tickets since the 50s and the rest from the 70s.

here is a little bit of info on what is an extremely opaque process

  4. . I'm thinking it's going to be one set angle maybe something up high at the 50 yard line looking down at the action.

No you want the shot from the center of the end zone and moderately but not insanely high.

When I have been at practices during Pre Season in Albany, they actually have about a 25 foot high scaffold set up behind each end zone that they film from.

  5.

There had been a debate on wether or not to allow public access to it for years. Even the networks where not allowed full acceess.

I didn't know this. I always assumed they didn't show it because they didn't think people wanted it. With direct streaming technology it only makes sense for the league / media to offer more specialized content. I mean unless your IT guys are complete pikers there is no reason that 3 angles can't be expanded to 6 or 7 etc. Sure you might need to add some servers to increase your upload capacity but the software should be scaleable.

I didn't realize that the league was holding the tape "secret" though. As I alluded to in an earlier post, there are aprox. 80,000 people at every game. Exactly who are they keeping this view "secret" from?

    Casserly == Idiot / Savant???

  6. Bent nails = "You suck"

Cut brake lines = "I hope you die"

hear you but we have all been around cyber punks and poseurs of various stripes.

I think I would be more worried about a guy physically in my drive way than a guy lobbing threats at me behind the anonymity afforded by cyber space.

  7. Yes and nobody is talking about the horrific "illegal contact" call on a 3 and 15 or so that extended a scoring drive for the 49ers in the second half.

And even if it was a "quick" whistle so what? Hardly as egregious as the non pass interference call on Seubert in '03. I am sure the football Gods where just trying to restore karmic balance

  8. ESPN was making a big deal about the "all 22" coaches tape earlier this year. When I saw it my immediate reaction was, "just go to the actual game".

But in retrospect it is not that easy. In the old stadium I sat in section 121, row 34, seat 13. ( originally seat 14 but that is a long story ). That seat was dead square between the uprights and basically gave that overhead "all 22" view of the field. It was a great seat.

In the new stadium we moved down to the 7th row and are now offset towards 1 corner. The view, especially from the 50 in is incredible but it is not the same view. In some ways it is better because it is closer and you still have a MUCH, MUCH better perspective than on TV but from a straight X's and O's standpoint you can't beat that high and behind shot of the whole field.

  9. saw that on NFC Playbook last night. Those things are fun but I am not quite sure they are predictive.

The 49ers basically got to this point by taking the ball away ( 38, tied 1st in NFL ) and not turning it over ( 10, 1st in NFL ).

If we play clean we win. That is a big if however.

  10. I'm not trying to jump down anybody's throat on this. I just find it interesting to look at.

Take the Niners game. Smith played really well and yea they needed to put up 36 points to win the game. But do any of you think they put up even close to 36 points if they are not +4 in the game?

And that's not a 1 off. Their defense has been doing this all year. At +28, they led the league in differential and where tied with GB for most take aways at 38.

  11. Kind of interesting.

Two of the better performing Defenses in SF and Balt still in the Mix.

One of the very worst D's in NE also still in the mix.

The G-Men played crappy D almost all year but are playing much better now that they are relatively healthy. Could argue this one either way.

    On the QB side:

2 of the best, Brees and Rodgers are home.

2 more of the top tier guys, Eli and Brady are still alive.

    Flaco has been pedestrian IMO

Smith is like the flip side to the Giants D coin. He didn't have a spectacular season but played at a very high level last week.

  12. meh.

    every team has asshole fans.

didn't some numb skull use a stun gun at a Jets game?

I have seen way too many fights at Giants Games over the years to point fingers. One of the main reasons our fan base is more docile today than a lot of the others is that it tends to be a bit older. Your average 60 year old isn't usually looking to start shit.
