  1. Sorry, but you have nothing on those two. As for the game, I called the loss last night before the game started, but I also said, tis a long season and the Giants play better with each game. Slow and easy wins the race.
  2. I get that, it's just strange.
  3. I have been coming to read these forums for a long time and though I don't post much, you could always expect a Dallas Ra-Ra Trip from those two. Seriously. I would have thunk that we would have been inundated by BadEgg and his boy toy ItalianHotdog. Did he/they get hurt? Still alive? Move? What? Since the SuperBowl win last year, nada. Weird. Not that I'm complaining mind you. Just find it oddly strange without their banter around here. Tis TOO Quiet!
  4. Simple put...this team was not ready to play. When the Giants came out for their first possesion in first half, I told the wife that we are going three and out. They just looked uninspired, like this was preseason. Other than that, I will say that this game was about our lack of a solid OL and our DL getting no Pressure on Romo. Sorry, but Eli was pressured a great deal more last night than Romo was. Romo seemed to have all day at times. And with our secondary looking so bad, he had huge gains by receivers. This is not a surprise to be honest. It was something more than a few wrung their hands over in the preseason. If they can get the OL to open a few holes and to give Eli time where needed, they will be fine. Yeah, I know, Captain Obvious. After that, the DL has to start getting more pressure. We lost this game in the trenches. Period!
  5. God forbid the Giants lose, or BadEgg will return with a vengence.
  6. Those two will be back by training camp...or opening game. They will be thumping their chests as they once again proclaim that the Giants suck, got lucky, insert any other excuse here, then proceed to run off at the mouth on how the Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, etc are all soooo much better than the Giants. I really thought Egghead had turned the corner and was talking smart football there towards the end of the season, but it seems actions really do speak louder than words. Their lack of backbones speaks volumes!
  7. Are we talking my 'Yo Hoo' Thread? If so, that was just rude. I come here so little and this is how I'm treated.....Geesh, some group this turned into. Nah, just kidding. Whatever. Egghead and Horndog arent worth that much effort anyway.
  8. Whats sad is that the 2011 Giants Offense is better than the 2007 one, and this years defense is worse. Again, do I think that the either of these teams will go all the way? Probably not, yet I am still inclinded to believe that any team can win on any given Sunday. I do however have faith that Eli is doing well enough to carry this team all the way. All the Giants need is the Defense to step up just a little like they did against the Jests. I hate to admit it, but I think the same can be said for the Dallas. As for this game, I just want the Refs to not place a winner in the playoffs (either team) with one or two bad calls, or like last week, with reversals on calls that should have stood. That I would like to see a clean, injury free game. I would say good luck, but I wouldnt mean it. I want the Giants to get another shot at GB as I really think they can take them down this time.
  9. I typically stay away from these boards anymore, but wanted to respond to this. To say that neither team has a chance is absurd. Tell the 2007 Giants they had no prayer. Tell Green Bay last year they had no prayer. If Detroit, San Fran, The Giants, Dallas, or the Falcons have no chance, why play the game. Sorry, but claiming this is not the Cowboys year or the Giants year is claptrap. You may truly believe that, but as a true NY Giant fan and a fan of the sport, I say either team has a shot. Green Bay is beatable, The Giants proved they could be scored on and with a better defensive showing (hitting Rodgers hard and often) they can be beat. The Saints are not world beaters when playing outside of their dome. They can be taken down. I see no team that can say they are unbeatable. As for not playing your starters last week. I agree. It was would have been stupid to play Romo in that game. Besides, I want to face Romo as the Giants are horrid against backup QBs. Just saying.

    Bipolar

Thanks guys. That was just brutal to watch. I almost showed up after the Green Bay game, to tell everyone that they look amazing on offense and that 07 kept coming to mind. Good thing I didn't. Yeah, I know I should come around more, I just don't spend alot of time on the net. I'm either working - now working for 3 different companies doing sales, and building websites in my spare time, all in an effort to just stay afloat in these crappy economic times - or I'm working. If I am not working, I am relaxing watching some shows with the wife or playing for an hour or so on the xbox. No writting for over a year either. Real life demands real cash and being that this is my kids senior year in high school, everything is killing us cost wise. Anyway, glad to see you all. Hope everyone is well. Perhaps I'll visit the dark side when I get a chance.

    Bipolar

Yes, I have not been here in forever, but I felt I had to vent after that dismal, pathetic display against the Redskins. I swear this team is bipolar. Someone think they should spike their gatorade with Lithum before the game? I do. Geesh. The perfectly thrown balls that are dropped every week, kill me. The lack of pressure by the Defense, kills me. The lack of protection by the Offensive Line, kills me. The lack of guts, determination and pride by the WHOLE freaking team kills me. For fucks sake, can this team show up for more than 5 minutes a game? Eli, JPP and a handful of others are the ONLY reason this team is even in contention to go to the playoffs. Oh and can SOMEONE, ANYONE, please tip the fucking refs before the game. I mean the non-call on the mugging of Cruz and the absolute shit reversal on the Ware TD are so Green Bay. It seems that every f'ing week the Giants are shut down, kicked around or flat out Bullshited by the Refs on one or two calls that change the entire dynamic of the game. Thanks you shitheel Zebras. I swear its like the refs are told to pull this shit because the only team that has a shot to break Green Bay down for the second Superbowl in a row is the Gints. They stole taht game away already, best not even let the Giants get that far. Yes I know the Refs only played a part, and the Giants seemed to be still in Dallas, but shit....THIS IS MY RANT. Good to see you guys again, now I will go back into my hovel for the rest of the season.
  12. Really, you guys did not see a prevent, I sure as hell did. I was also screaming at them before the Eagles kickoff as to watch for the 'onsides'. My wife hates football and asked me what i meant, and sure enough that was exactly what those dirty fers did. Sad part is, after hearing Tom C's presser afterward, he said also told his guys to watch for it. Really? So why did no one stay home? Where was the 'hands' team? As for the prevent, I saw it the whole way. They laxed up on the pressure, they had Tuck and Osi floating in coverage. Sure seemed to me that they only prevented another win for themselves. Pressuring Vick was what had us up the way we were, so why back off. Typical Giants BS. Damn, I want to know who I can sue for pain and suffering on this one. That was absolute cruel and unusual punishment in my book. Some needs to pay! Oh and Manningham needs to have the damn ball stampled to his hand for the rest of the week on that plain stupid fumble. Dumbass started us down the toliet with that boneheaded play. I mean come on, 21 points with 8 minutes, really, I cant count on a win there? Thanks. Sorry, needed to vent
  13. LOL, problem is they can't. They IR'ed him which means he can not be put back on the roster this year.
  14. All I can hope for is that Clayton or Thomas can start to step up and help create some issues for defenses. Hagan has been doing well, but with MM hurtuing and Nicks still not 100%, we need guys to start earning their pay.
  15. Apparently they have been around since 07. Helmet Article Schutt Sports ( a direct cometator of Riddell) makes them, they are call ION 4D's. Apparently it makes the face mask stronger and ties it right into the shell.
  16. Since the start of the new season, I have noticed that several Giants (Jacobs, Tuck I think and so on) have a new Helmet deisgn that I have yet to see on any other teams. Its not a huge difference, but on both sides of the helmet right above the ear slots are the bulges that the facemask seems to conect into. Anyone else notice them?? Jacobs Photo Anyone know what its for?
  17. The two I've been watching are laggier than hell too!!
  18. Never mind. Justin TV.
  19. I used to know of one place where I could watch games that the broadcasting company didn't put on in my area, b ut lost it. Since NBC isn't showing the game here tonight, anyone know a free streaming site I can watch it?
  20. Listen, I understand your setament here, but I have news for you, Shockey has been screwing routes up here and there. You ever hear of Bob Papa? You know, the guy who calls the games, and hosts Giants Online? Well, he is what I consider an insider when it comes to the Giants, and he said the same thing on Sirius the other morning. Shockey is known to run his route wrong, pull up short, and has an affinity for throwing a fit when he is missed. I love the guy, love his fire, but there are times, he is a 'me' kind of guy. I certianly don't want him to go, just want him to grow a little, show up for mini-camp, and get on the same page as Eli. And yes, before you ask, Papa confirmed that several times over the season (NOT ALL) that Shockey was the cause of interceptions, by being in the wrong place, or reading the wrong coverage and doing something he decided was the right thing. Anyway, just what I heard, and what is being said.
  21. Thanks Nas. I actually just peruse the various forums and read what others are saying, but it just seems to me lately that some folks will just never think this kid is any good. Does he need to be more consistent? Hell yes, but that means what? Nada. He is a very good QB who can only get better. To me some fans are just too damn fickle for their own good. VG, how are you man. I didn't pack anything up. Ben gave up, not me. I actually have been slow on anything writing in a while due to family affairs, but I still check one place for stories every now and then: The WWBS Go down to the Horror section and everyone from the one you were going to is there. The format is different, and it’s a pain, but its the only one I know of for what we were doing. I hope your writing is going well.
  22. BTW, bud, and anyone else interested, here is the direct link to Lake Fossil. If you actually like hardcovers, like me, the book is a bit pricey, but well worth it: Lake Fossil Site. There is the paperback for 11.95, or the paperback hardcover size for 24.95, or the hardcover for 29.95. Some of the stories are very good, but I warn you, these are hardcore horror! I think a few would even make Stephen King gag...lol
  23. The name of the book is "Tabloid Purposes IV" by Lake Fossil Press, which is a small independent press in Chicago. Here is a link for the paperback: Lake Fossil Book Store. Sorry, but since they are a small press, you would have to buy it outright. My story, though the screwed up the title in the index, is called "A Night in Nutbush". The story idea came about from Bob Seger's live rendidtion of Tina Turner's classic, Nutbush City Limits. I always wondered what Seger was implying when he reiterated over and over to watch out fcor the police in Nutbush, TN...now I know. Anyway, it was my longest story to date and it payed the best - not to mention it was in a book - so I'm pretty pleased about it. If you get it and would like, PM me and I'll give you my address if you want me to sign it. You never know, I might very well be the next Stephen King...lol. Just ask VG and Seph. BTW, I was pretty sure I knew it was you Bud, but I haven't been around here is so long, I scratched my head for a bit. As for Eli, one day he is going to shut them all up, but until then, let them rant. Good to talk at you again, mayhap I'll jump in more often. Unless of course anyone around here has an Xbox 360 with Halo 3, then we could actually talk as we kill shit.
  24. Yeah, it looks like it. I read two or three different Giants forums, and there is certianly a weird division about Eli. You would think folks would rally around him, but then again, these are the same ones that wanted to run off Tiki when he was having fumbling issues, and Sims in his first few years as the QB. Anyway, I haven't been on the writing thing for a few months - taking a break due to family issues. I've had three published so far, one of which was for an anthology (book with 39 other short stories from various writers) and I have another to be published in October of next year. I think I'll get back into it over the Christmas shutdown, as I really have a few good ideas brewing and I must get back to work on my second manuscript, which I have a feeling would be very sellable. How are you?
