Ditto
I know A-Rod's getting 25k, Jeter's getting about 20, and RJ about 19k, but those salaries are ridiculous. I say no higher than 13k.

From an outsider's perspective, this wouldn't be a good move for the Yanks at all. A power hitter with poor plate discipline, playing out of position when he's never been good defensively in the first place, and a bad attitude? Not exactly what that team needs. I got so sick of watching soriano swing at pitches so far outside, that i was waiting for him to swing at a pickoff move to first.

We really dont need him anyway unless we start trading away people. Next season we'll have Matsui back, Cabrera will probably stay and play right for Sheffy who wont be back, and Damon in center. Cano aint leaving 2nd base so no way in hell we get him next season. Maybe...Maybe, this season, but doubtful.

There is no place for Soriano unfortunaly (he is my fav non yankee player) our lineup is basically set Damon CF Jeter SS Shieffield RF Giambi DH Arod 3B Matsui LF Posada C Cano 2B Philips 1b I can see us signign a big name first baseman who can actually field..Giambi is our DH from here on out for most games! SoCal is right, Sheffield won't be back, unless he takes a severe paycut. There's not much in offseason outfield talent, though don't rule out Carlos Lee or Torii Hunter or any of the high priced options the Yankees are known to get.
