BlueInCanada
Didnt DeCamilis used to be Giants Special Teams coach? Every time the Jaguars try a fake punt, it works like a charm. To this day I'm surprised why more teams dont try a fake punt/fg attempt at least once per game. I mean you can never tell when it's coming and either the returning team has to commit to a full rush, typically leaving a guy open for an easy pass, or back everyone off the line, and allow the punter/kicker all the time in the world or a quick run/misdirection snap for a few easy yards. fringe
Yup I think they normally hike the ball to the up blocker but this time they had the punter throw for it. Now teams are all fd up defending it,
gmenroc
Because most punters are pansies with noodle arms. Can kick a mile and maybe even run...but can't do a damn thing with their upper body. Like a marathon runner who can take on 26 miles but can't do more than 20 pushups.

But you still have the snap to the up back option.

Weatherford was the reserve QB so he certainly could have done it.
