Lavar's number?

52, 54, 55, 59 should all be available. Assuming that Short reclaims his #53 and Torbor changes numbers or vice versa, what number you think that LaVar will wear? I guess there is a possility for a number in the 90's to be worn(95?), but my guess is that Lavar takes #55.

Sorry I am bored :cwy:

I'm more worried about the contract number at this point.

54 belongs to Short I believe. So I think it's either 55 or 52 for him if/when we sign him. Leaning towards #55 also.

Short has no number as of yet, he wore 53 while here before. 54 was Griesen.

Well Feagles wears 18 so LA will give him two donkeys and 20 acres of farmland for # 18 :P

I don't think LB's can have a number in that range. They need to stay between 50-59 and 90-99 I thought.

yea ialways wondered why. I don't think they HAVE too. There's guys in like the NBA who take numbers like 93(Ron Artest, lol what a joke)

actually in the NFL there are rules as to what numbers players can choose.

Really? Would you happen to know any or anything cause i think that's rediculous.

Such Discrimination :TD:

It was a rule passed in the 60's/70's to help officials know who was who. QB/K/P get 1-19 WR/TE 10-19 and 80-89 RB/DB 20-49 LB 50-59 90-99 Lineman 60-79.

Thats just off the top of my head. the only exception I can think of is Olin Kruetz the center for the Bears is 57.

good catch. offensive line must be able to use the 50's as well, but not many do

Yea, Ryan Khuel(sp?) our LS is #90 i believe

Edit: and Troy Brown played corner at #80. lol he's definitly an exception though
