GreyHoodie
Every time either the New England Patriots or New York Giants have won a super bowl Bill Belichick has gotten a ring - either as a head coach or defensive coordinator.

That is an unbelievable stat. Good job digging through the enormous pile of archives for that one. Nothing short of a statement like "There have been 41 Super Bowls in NFL history" will ever top it! Lughead
I didn't say it was obscure, just interesting. here is another one I heard today the patriots are 15-1 in the playoffs when they have a week bye either before the superbowl or before the division game ---- ouch

GreyHoodie
here is another one I heard today the patriots are 15-1 in the playoffs when they have a week bye either before the superbowl or before the division game ---- ouch That stat is not accurate, they had a bye week before both their SB loses. And 3 different divisional loses. Nor are stats like that really relevant. What the Patriots did against the Houston Oilers in 1976 really doesn't mean much. The fact that the Giants won their SB in large part because of the brilliance of their ex-defensive coordinator is relevant. That Tom Brady is 3-0 in the SB relevant. That the Patriots as a team has much more playoff experience relevant. What either team did before some of the players were even born is trivia. Nothing that was done by or fo the 1990 team is relevant in any way to 2008. What the Pats and their many core players did as a unit between 2001 and now is relevant.
