Or we can overpay a 3rd baseman that doesn't hit well on the road and is somehow a better player than A-Rod (The one that is considered the best player in the game) because of totally subjective reasoning.


Better than A-Rod? I don't think you'll hear anybody making that argument. Better for the team than A-Rod? Well, let's see- Lowell's coming off his second championship, of which he was the MVP, and A-Rod is coming off his third straight Division Series loss, of which his non-production was once again a major factor. Lowell also hit pretty good in Cleveland and Colorado, which were really the only two road cities that mattered this year.
