  1. Stewart is a good call, I have a feeling Bobby Lobonte will have a good race, he always has done well at Atlanta, but that was for Gibbs. All the ones listed are solid choices for this race, if all else fails, go with last years winner, carl Edwards. Also, Ryan Newman is worth thinking about.
  2. Oooh, is he available? We coukld get him cheap.
  3. Yeah they are similar, Keyshawn is a little better, but what I'm saying is we could have 3 proven solid WR's instead of 2 good ones and 2 or 3 question marks. I remember the 50 yard bomb Taylor caught, and would love to see him hauling those in consistantly, or Carter actually playing well instead of wasting much need money on Keyshawn, but I feel Tayor and Carter are just too many If's to rely on them or another rookie to step up.
  4. Guys, the only reason I even bring this up is because we are a team on the brink, while our corps players are Young, Eli, Pierce, Plax etc, we also have some aging guys in key spots, and this seems to be shaping up as going for it all type of year. I mean, for the same reasons some of you want Arrington, I want Keyshawn, he fits perfectly IMHO. A guy who will go over the middle and make every catch in his area is what is needed, As much as i love Amani, he's destined to drop off even after a great years last season, if Amani can handle being # 3 and Keyshawn can handle being # 2, thats a deadly and experienced combo at WR with Plax at # 1.
  5. What's ya'lls opinions on us going after Keyshawn? WR seems to be a concern everyone says we have, and Keyshawn is a good posetion type WR. Sure he's selfish and a loudmouth, but he's at the point in his career where he knows he isn;t the star and won't catch 100 passes.. If T.C. can keep the lip work to a minimum, he could be a low cost asset to us. Ofcourse I have no idea what his asking price would be, but I doubt it would be very high. He could be a good 2nd or 3rd WR, and allows us to use our draft picks on more needed positions.
  6. I agree, the DT position might be the most important position on the defense other than MLB. I don't really agree we need someone at DT to get sacks, but a hole plugger who can stuff the run is esential. Joseph showed some promise before getting injured last year, he needs to improve on that, I don't think we can afford to go get a FA DT when we need immediate help in other areas, but in the draft I'd like us to get a solid DT who can get significant playing time and make at least a small impact right away.
  7. Don't appologize, HMS sucks as well as anyone asscociated with him. ASnd I'm having serious doubts about Yates moteors right about now.
  8. but hey, at least Biffle finished a race and even cracked the top 10.
  9. I want that car tested for steroids, gotta be something going on with that team, I don't mean to sound bitter, but no way he's just that much better than everyone else. :brooding:
  10. If Biffle and Martin work together they can get back to the top, and go back to being Roush 1,2,3 again.
  11. For now, when I made my last post it was Kenseth - 1st Biffle - 2nd Martin - 3rd. But both Martin and Biffle took a hit on these last stops.
  12. Wow, if they have a good draft this team might be scary, I think Losh McNown can be a winner for them, they apparently got serious about winning.
  13. Back and forth and still they are pulling away, but it's still very early.
  14. NP, BTW me recomending Biffle at Cali wasn't a biased pick. He's always done well there, and dominated that race, pure bad luck he lost a cylinder with 21 to go.
  15. This is a Rousch track. Kenseth or Martin should do well here, both are consistant anyway and always near the top.
  16. Yeah, he made out good in this trade, It's been said he has dead arm issues toward the end of the season, that could have alot to do with just being young and pitching in Texas. I'm still bitter over that trade.
  17. Yeah I remember that hit, that was a good scorcher, thats what he should be hitting, hard liners and running them out. Guy could hit a ton of doubles as long as he doesn't get the "Willie Mays Hays" syndrome. lol
  18. I normally stay away from the "Draft Projections" simply because even though I love college football (Go LSU!), I really suck at projectinHowever I feel this is a fairly accurate projection. Even though we have more pressing needs, I feel we need to look at our long term RB needs. jacobs may be a stud or he may be Ron Dayne, hopefully he can be an every down back who blossoms into a great RB, but to be quite honest, I don't see him as an every down back although I do see him playing a big part in our success in the future, I just see him as a change of pace back. I'd like to see another smart, all around back like Tiki, I think Joseph Addai brings that. I'm trying to not let my bias rule here being an LSU fan, but I just happened to have to good fortune of seeing alot of Addai, and he may be there for us in the 2nd round. Joseph Addai
  19. Milledge impresses me. He from the first clip he seems fairly accurate throwing even when throwing as hard as he can, thats important. He keeps his glove up till the last second when fielding, that ,might be worrisome if he tends to start misstiming them. Has a sklight uppercut to his swing, hit all flyballs it looked like in the first clip. With good coaching, this guy will be a great player, has the tools just needs to fine tune them.
  20. OK, being a baseball fan who likes to see young players in the early parts of their careers trying to get noticed, I decided to start a thread for everyone to post which players on their favorite team could rise to fame this year. If you have a feeling a certain young player on your team is going to make a name for himself this year, post his name and what you think about him. Players to watch on the Rangers Ian Kinsler: Second Baseman. He seems to be a good all around player, a hard worker. reminds me of Michael Young, has big offensive shoes to fill following Soriano, but even though he moved to 2B recently, his defense has to be an improvment over Sori. Kameron Loe: Pitcher, Has the stuff, they decided to keep him instead of Chris Young, that speaks volumes because I was very high on Young, he'll be in the 4 spot and he pitched very well last season. Kevin Mench: Left Field, not exactly a noob, but relativly unknown. This should be his year, he's been a productive player, but all signs point to him having a very good year. 35 HR's and 80+ RBI's. Lance Wilkerson: CF, He should be batting lead off, and in our park he could have a break out year. Ok, now for some minor leagers John Danks, Thomas Diomond. theres another one I just can't remember right now. But Danks and Diomond have impressed the MLB coaching staffs, especially Diomond. Both should see big league time this year, Diomond might even win the 5 spot later in the year. Joaquin Arias, SS. It'll be tough for him to see much time unless God forbid Young or Kinsler get injured, or Kinsler struggles alot. But he has impressed alot of people, I can only go by word of mouth because I have not seen him play.
