  1. Would the Fab 4 be willing to bet on it?
  2. Manning didn't lose his job in training camp.
  3. What's it say about Tyree as a WR that he lost his job to a guy who caught 10 balls all year and stunk it up in key situations? Don't get me wrong, I love Tyree, but he isn't a WR.
  4. Hey moron, Tyree lost the job in camp last year to Tim Carter.
  5. Brandon Lloyd went for a 3rd and 4th. What's your point?
  6. Good call. He was pretty close to getting drafted right, him being an all star WR in college and all?
  7. Can we have a discussion thread? one thread to make the picks, another to discuss the picks?
  8. How many voluntary workouts did Jesse Armstead go to? What about LT?
  9. Kareem McKenzie got hurt last year and I believed he trained with the Giants. So did Pierce, Torbor, Williams, Peterson, and Emmons. What's your point? BTW, they don't do catching or passing drills at these things.
  10. Yo kids...reposted from the general forum thread. H2h, 12 teams, Yahoo default. 1. (4) V. Guerrero 2. (21) G. Sheffield 3. (28) C. Utley 4. (45) C. Delgado 5. (52) R. Harden 6. (69) H. Foulke (Bos - RP) P C. Capuano (Mil - SP) P J. Westbrook (Cle - SP) BN M. Timlin(Bos - RP) BN G. Chacín (Tor - SP) BN S. Chacón (NYY - SP) I'm in the process of dropping Timlin for Jeremy Bonderman. Timlin holds little value in this league because Foulke will get the saves. I might trade away Foulke as well, as I have a lot of Boston players and I try not to load up on players from 1 team. Whats everyone think?
  11. I might agree with you if they were being bums. Jeremy Shockey came into camp last year IN THE BEST SHAPE OF HIS LIFE. Did you see his arms? Once again, BEST SHAPE OF HIS LIFE. Burress trained at the U and put up some of the best numbers of his career. William Joseph did and won a starting spot. Okay, fine, it hurts team chemistry. But ya know what, if guys are that committed to getting better, go ahead and train in Miami. It surely helped them.
  12. Yes, lets cut lose our best WR and best TE, allowing for another team to sign them. Great move. Because ya know, the Giants can draft a big name TE in the 3rd round after trading up for AJ Hawk. Stud WR? 5th round.
  13. Read any news? It's been made clear that Synder did not like Arrington during his stay in Washington.
  14. And that defense is still a year older. They lost one of the best WRs in the game and they're now better? I understand T.O. was a cancer, but you cannot say he wasn't a difference maker on the field.
  15. Arrington was hurt in 2004 and was in the doghouse in 2005 because Synder and Williams didn't lik him. He made some big plays late in the year. Demps is a lifetime backup? Is that why he's a starter? Plus, I think the Giants looked at his ACL when they considered him. If it didn't check out, they probably wouldn't have signed him.
  16. http://www.bergen.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcn...2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2 Doesn't exactly say they'll sign him, but I like our chances. He's a big run stuffer who requires bodies to block him. Little scouting report.... Grade 70 Expert's Take Jackson has a combination of massive size, strength and power. He was used primarily as a run stopper on first and second down. He fills up the A-gap and has no problem occupying two blockers. He has only tackle-to-tackle range and does not run well enough to be a factor on outside runs. He does not have an explosive take-off but controls the line of scrimmage with his upper-body strength and size. He is more powerful than he is explosive. He gets excellent penetration. He has above-average foot quickness and is hard to knock off the ball. Although he does not play with good leverage, he does a good job on double-team and scoop blocks and keeping the blockers from getting to the linebackers. Offensive linemen have a difficult time sustaining blocks on him. However, he is top heavy, can be easily cut and does not have good change-of-direction skills. As a pass rusher, he does not have any pass-rush moves except a bull rush. He has the ability to collapse the pocket with good leg drive, but he's usually double teamed and will get stuck at the line of scrimmage. He does not have great endurance, will take plays off and will wear down over the course of the game. Overall, Jackson is a player who is one-dimensional and lacks ideal athletic ability. He is getting up in age and is clearly on the downhill side of his career. He does not have a lot gas left in his tank and his weight will always be a problem. He is a short-term fit and you wonder how long he will continue playing. His age and durability are concerns.
  17. So Eli Manning, a youngster, won't improve? Guys like Webster, Torbor, Wilson and Butler won't improve? Giants lost their entire LB crew and Peterson for almost the entire year. Lockhart, you bring up a decent arguement, but give no credit to any Giants players ever. While EA could have done better in FA (I don't think he did an awful job like you do, but it could have been better), I think the Giants are in good shape for next season. Honestly, how did the Eagles really improve? Another year older on defense and no T.O. Westbrook might never be the same. Redskins will again have no depth. What depth do they have anywhere? How many draft picks do they have? Plus, an aging Brunell behind that line, which I feel is suspect, might get hammered before he can get the ball to ARE, Lloyd and Moss. Cowboys might be the most improved with the addition of T.O. and Fabini. But I think their line is still suspect. However, their defense will be very good.
  18. Looks like Grady Jackson will be a Giant.
  19. How can Saban work on Allen catching the ball? You think TC said "It's fine Will, don't worry about catching the ball?"
  20. Considering Allen worked on catching the ball during his offseason training and it still did nothing, I wonder what difference Saban could make.
  21. OH MY FUCKING GOD LOCKHART SHUT UP ALREADY. Holy crap. How people actually listen to this fool is beyond me.
