Peyton has a tight spiral?
And he's an all weather qb?
-
Why do u say that? Church was basically our team MVP untill his first concussion last year, and now he's 100% healthy, Murphy was the highlight of the team towards the end of last season hitting over .300, and Schneider... ... ... well, Church and Murphy are good. lol. Schneider was decent at best.
Because all a team has to do is bring a left handed pitcher late in the game and our last 3 guys are all lefties.
-
is that gateb?
naw, i havent written there in a little while.
-
6. RF Ryan Church. Was batting .309 before a concussion derailed his momentum in May.
7. LF Danny Murphy. Spark plug will share time with Tatis.
8. C Brian Schneider
Our 6-7-8 guys are gonna be the easiest late game outs in the league.

Didn't the Jags go from the 26th to 7th pick for just a third rounder?
-
Thank god. We go from having questionable depth at DE to the best 3 man rotation in the league.
With a full off-season of working out to be a DE Kiwi will be terrific next year

Thanks for crashing the party dude :brooding:
Wilson's not even that good so it's nothing to worry about.
When Johnson learns how to run up into the box and tackle the running back he'll become a real asset for our secondary IMO.
-
I think he has a better shot of going to the Eagles.
-
Myself, I'd bat him lead off. I don't have the figures, but he must have like a .600 OBP leading off an inning.
He'd still only bat lead off for one inning a game. Usually.

that vid looked a lot like the mets in september

I'm just gonna avoid manny because that's too easy and go with Lowe. The thing that worries me the most about this rotation is after Santana, we don't have a rock. Maine has trouble putting hitters away and has a small frame, Pelfrey's inning count went up so much higher last year that I don't know what to expect, Ollie is Ollie, and I don't even know who our 5th starter is.
We know what we'd get in Lowe. And even if he began to wore down in his 3rd or 4th year of his deal, he's capable of moving to the pen and providing depth there.

thats exactly why i think he juiced. i hope it's not true cuz i like mike too. remember pujols had that ridiculous quad injury while seemingly barely moving his leg? i think hes dirty for that reason as well
my history teacher used to cover baseball for USA today and said pujols's back was covered with acne too.

ludacris-grew up a screw up remix
that songs pretty old right? definitely before last year's super bowl i know that much.

Amani Toomer ranks 35th all time in receiving yards... I'm gonna miss this guy. I'll never forget the year he lost the receiving title by 1 yard to Randy Moss and didn't even make the pro bowl. Unbelievable... Its kind of sad seeing Toomer go - He's the last "original Giant" from the early years.
what song does lil wayne say that thing about eli in?
-
That stuff is contagious too. Great read.

Burress, Moss, and a 2nd rounder for Anquan.
Why would the Cardinals want Burress?
-
He's out 3 weeks but I read somewhere it's just the Mets being overprotective and it would usually be an injury that would take 3-5 days to heal.
-
I saw this, Tommy John's surgery?
I know his talent is supposed to be other worldy but I really want to get something for him while we can. Too man red flags with injuries.

Let me tell you something GateB, you take 700 million dollars of cold hard cash from ANYONE no matter how successful they are they are not gonna get over it that easy. This is not a slight loss. 700 million is probably about 70% of the value of the NY Mets as a franchise(assuming they would sell for 900 mil to 1 billion dollars).
If you took my savings(401k, savings, retirement etc) and just vanished it to thin air 70% of it as compared to my most valuable asset(say my home) again I do not care how rich you are, you aint getting over it.
Its not like they lost the money in the market and it will come back, like say we can with 401k's house prices etc, the moneys gone, kaput, blown. There is a huge difference.
They are never getting this money back EVER.
I'm just saying that if the Mets suck this year then they'll get over it.
-
If it forces these cocksuckers to sell and get some good owners in here I am all for it.
I cannot translate to the naysayers enough, yes they have spent some money, but for them the Mets are more about making money than winning. They have enough money to buy 3 teams, but being the meisers that they are they want big time profit every year from the Mets.
You think the same payroll in 2009 as 2008 means they make the same profit as 2008? With the new stadium, concessions, higher ticket sales etc? They will in my guess make 20-30% more revenue in 2009 than 2008, while still spending the same amount on the team. How many folks can say they are 20% richer this year in this economy?
I would love nothing better than IF this teams tanks for that place to be bone empty late in the year and have this blow back up in their faces.
Why? I'm not exactly a Wilpon guy either but even if the mets bomb this year the Wilpons even with the whole Madoff thing are still more successful than we're ever gonna be so they'll get over it.
I'd rather just go on a flukey WS run...

I know Rooney helped but to say Rooney saved football while discounting Mara's impact..dude what kind of Giants fan are you? At least give credit where credit is due. The Mara's could dominate football based on the Steinbrenner model if it were not for their desire for the sport to succeed.
Did I discredit the Mara's? All I said Rooney HELPED save the game of football.
What am I missing here?
-
I thought the Maras were the driving force behind revenue sharing?
I'm not completely sure of how it went down but I know Rooney contributed. Mara did the bulk of the work but I'm pretty sure Rooney helped out a lot.
-
The Yankees may have won 26 championships but their former owner is a renowned douchebag and his son looks no different.
Meanwhile Rooney helpd save the game of football and runs a franchise that is the gold standard of the NFL.

I don't think I'd ever seen him do that.
