Even with the dissappointing ending you gotta be happy. They can't stop the run and Eli is on fire tonight. Our D has been pretty good too.

We all knew it would be a close game into halftime the fact we've looked so good doing it makes it a bonus. There won't be any more turnovers.

I'm looking forward, and if the Mets aren't better than the Phils in 2009, than Minaya, Bernazard, and company are fools. They know what they need to do... get arms for that bullpen, a new closer, and maybe get another big outfield bat, in that order.

If you look at their 1st 4 years, they each only had 1 thousand yard receiving year and their TD's are comparable. While Ownes had Rice to contend with, Williams has had Johnson the last two years. Also, one could argue that Owens played in a better system with better QBs in SF, while Detriot is garbage. This year is a throw away for Roy, at least statistically, because Detroit is awful and he is learning a new system in a Dallas offense that will spread the ball all over the place anyway. The head case comment I completely disagree. He is as much of a head case as any NFL WR, but not nearly the problem that guys like TO, Ocho and Plexico can be.

With one stud WR, a decent #2, and the best TE in the league, you agree to give up a first round pick for a guy who really hasn't done that much?

Roy is already complaining about not getting enough playing time. He says he knows the system but Dallas is choosing not to play him enough.

I think Dallas would like to have that first rounder back considering the state of their o-line and secondary.

That was a good call by the refs. You can clearly see the ball way out of the receivers hands before Phillips loads up for his shot on Moore. Moore was defenseless.

The only other time I can remember him doing it was on the first and 10 on Pitt's last drive. Ben quickly rushed one into traffic where Phillips was converging and it was nearly picked. If it wasn't Sweed would've been whacked.

This just wasn't Jacobs's type of game to play. He did wear them down a bit and created some holes for Ward later on in the game. Just like January.

I think Storm really believes in his point. I think he feels that Plax, because he is such a great receiver, should not be accountable to the rest of the team like the other players. In fact, nobody should have to answer to authority if they really don't want to. And if you have to "take your kid to school" (or you're really hungover and want to sleep in), it's really ok for you to not show up to work, ignore your employer's phone calls and you yourself not extending the courtesy of a phone call for your employer.

 

It's a me-first attitude and sense of entitlement that plagues the current 25 and under crowd, and it's the result of poor parenting if you ask me. These kids have never had a good spanking from daddy to align their attitudes correctly.

We're stuck with him. I think it was more of a heat of the moment thing with Plax any way. He was hurt, he was called on a BS penalty, and didn't want to deal with TC.

Hold on, I don't care how Coughlin handled that, he was absolutely right to tell him off. Plaxico was acting like a bitch out there and caused us to lose 15 yards for jaw jacking to the refs. Let's face facts here, Plaxico does give away offensive pass interference plays, he's done it several times before, and he's been in the wrong. There's a precedent here.

 

He's also not the first player he's argued with coming off the field, and while he might be a loose cannon at times, Coughlin had just been yelling at the refs about the call just minutes before that "on the side of his receiver". The same receiver who is said to have yelled "fuck you" to him.

 

The Giants need to send a message to Burress now, who frankly has acted like a total ass this season. He bitched about his contract, he got what he wanted, and amazingly his behavior is now worse!!. We gave him credit last season when he played hurt and how well he played overall. But this year, it's been the opposite.

 

I'd send a message to him now, I'd dress him for the Steelers game, but I'd sit his ass. You know damn well he wants this game badly to piss off the Steelers. He may not get the message, but the message of " the Giants are bigger than one player" would be sent.

Suspending him clearly didn't work. Why try it again?
