If people who do not like their tactics and opinions about the NYG keep responding to their threads and simply not just IGNORE them and let the mods do their job in terms of the things you mentioned, it only increases their attention. Best way to respond to these things that bother you is to ignore the countless threads and let the mods do their job.When their topics get get 40-50 replies, well it makes it tough and quite frankly turns the boards into one huge pissing contest.

You are so far off the mark it's not funny. No one has ever said the NY org is a joke nor do we ask anyone to agree with us. We are stating our opinions on how to make the Giant team a better team and organization. We are passionate Giant fans who go to training camp in Albany annually, at least two Giant games a season and watch every living moment of every game. Friends and family are warned and know that during the season Sundays are off limits. We don't care who's getting married,who's celebrating their 100th birthday or who's kid is having a momentous birthday. Nothing gets in the way of game day.

Say what you will about the "fab 4", but to make joke names about them only increases the attention for which they recieve on this board. It has merit, but it should take a lot more than AJ Hawk (high draft pick) for Shockey, a perennial pro Bowl TE. And, if you do get rid of Shockey, who do you replace him with? Or do you just go to a all wide receiver spread offense? Let's think this through. And don't say Shiancoe. He drops even more balls than Shockey when he plays.

Judging by the depth of this draft, I would imagine that doing such a thorough job of addressing team needs would implore the Giants to stay put rather than trade up. If need is not a factor, why move a few spots to take, say, Ernie Sims when you can stay at 25 and take a comparable LB (i.e. DeMeco Ryans or D'Qwell Jackson)?

Yes it was a weakness.....but not the biggest. But did we need to sign four of them ?? At this moment we have no one to play the interior defensive line !!

Well wasn't out secondary our biggest weakness on defense last year? We do need a DT now and we can address that either now or in the draft.

I know many of you are solid (giants) football fans.

We dont always agree with one another but there

is a very basic area of concern for me that the Giants

The Defense Line in Football is critical to winning championships and

with clancy gone and the fact that we only have $4 mil remaining is a

Kenderick Allen and Duckett are great subs but not starters at least

not from what i have seen. But they can fill the backup role.

 

So as you know we need a stud DT one who can grab a bunch of sacks

up the middle and also colapse the pocket. Getting a player in the draft

to fill the role of a stud aint gonna happen as you all say it takes time to

develope the DT's SO WHAT NOW !!

 

Our D line right now is great on the ends but mediocre in the middle and unless

we sure up the middle with a stud DT the offense's will continue to double team

If we are then we can not live without a stud DT !!!

 

Its not looking very promising at the moment and dont sell this position short

by constantly talking about the secondary. The secondary means nothing if

we cant colapse the pocket and put pressure on the QB straight up the middle!

Consider moving More over to LDT, the coaching staff was high on him until the injury. And what about robbins? has he gotten his weight down? last year in camp it seemed the TC was high on him over Jospeh until the end of camp. We do need DT's but IMO from interviews and arts that I have seen and read Moore will contribute this year. and If Robbins takes the offseason seriously he could potienitaly be better.

With 4 mil under the cap, can we get another big Name LB and DT and still have money to sign picks?

i say f arrington, draft and LB and pick up a DT like Lional Dalton or wrestle away a guy like Aubrayo Franklin...agian just my opinion.

Would you be happy or upset if EA pulled an Eli-type move and somehow traded up to get AJ Hawk? Involving obviously trading away future picks, including a first round one or two....

No way, no future first round picks for a first round prospect. College sucess doesn't alway translate into pro sucess.

I want a LB inthe first it doesn;t have to be hawk the class looks pretty good this year, from what i have read.

I want to see a proactive game plan from our GM. Is that asking to much ?? In my business life I demand planning and positive results from my staff 100% of the time. If it's not there they are shown the door. The same thing holds true for the teams I root for. Mediocrity is not my thing. If I see nothing happening I complain, yell and bitch.

 

I do have to work on my putting however.

Last time a checked NY played against a few good defensive linemen last year. in particualr DE's

the fact that you see the rest of the east as proactive an Ny as not is sad. We picked up some decent prospects in an area the was glaringly poor.

The draft hasn't occured and FA is not over.

Some looked forward to building on the limited success of last year. The NFL has changed. Sit still and use the philosophy of do nothing and see what happens doesn't work in this age of parity. Perhaps it's still early and we are panicking. But I think not. I see no plan unfolding. We have huge gaps in our defense and we are signing spare parts.
