  1. Besides fluttering passes, passes too high, too low, there were many other problems with this offensive team, communication. How many times to we witness Plexiglass seemingly out of position?? Miscommunication, something that should be worked on during the offseason. How do you fix these problems, practice, together...................

Timing is key I can only give butterfly kisses to my Manning poster for so long before I have to have some kind of relase in the bathroom. I really enjoy those manning milk ads. i like to pretend that it's not milk on manning lips but my love!!! WEEEEEE!.

  2. Look guys, as I said....all things being equal, everybody wants everybody in camp. There's no doubt about it. I'm also big on the concept of "Team" so it's not as if I like the fact that these guys workout in Miami. In addition, I often take shots at Shockey for his attitude when merited. I'm not a fluffy fan.

All that said, it's not that big of a deal. I bet you most, if not all of the players have a very similar view on it. 'It would be nice for everybody to be here, but it's not the end of the world.'.

Guys workout on their own and do pretty darn well, guys like Edge James and many other veterans. It's not the end of the world.

you seem like a knowledgeable poster, with some good insight...

You’re wasting your time responding logically to these guys...

Last year this topic was talked about for at least four months on giants.com..just about ever aspect of it was covered...time and time again points and statements where made by members rebuking these SAME POINTS...99% of everything Lockhart and his band of juvenile fags typed was and is utterly and completely blown out of the water...this was then followed up by shockey having a good season...which further bitch slapped their statements and thoughts...this was then followed up by a banning after banning of these "members"

you would think that after being 100% wrong in ever aspect of thought and opinion would somehow make them find humility and a modicum of reasonable thought..

as we can see they are as moronic as ever and any attempt to reason with them is futile at best...May I suggest ridicule as opposed to logical response as it is crystal clear that sense and reason is completely void ...

Keyshawn may soon be a Giant

    Tuesday, March 21, 2006

    BY MIKE GARAFOLO

    Star-Ledger Staff

Could Keyshawn Johnson have a return engagement on Broadway? Perhaps.

Johnson, who was the first pick of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Jets and spent his first four seasons with the club, is scheduled to fly into the area this morning and visit with the Giants, according to a close friend and former teammate with knowledge of the talks between Johnson and the Giants.

The friend said the Giants are expected to make a strong bid to sign Johnson and may strike a deal as early as this week. Johnson is said to be excited about the opportunity to return to the New York area, a place he never wanted to leave.

"If the numbers are right, he could sign with the Giants (today)," the friend said. "Keyshawn thinks the Giants have a really good team and could contend for the Super Bowl. Besides, he loves the New York stage."

Johnson, 33, was released by the Cowboys last week when the club decided not to exercise a $1 million roster bonus and instead sign Terrell Owens. He was due to earn a $1.5 million base salary in addition to the bonus but made it clear he wanted more money and a multiyear deal.

Carolina, Seattle, Philadelphia, New England, Kansas City and Dallas, which would like to re-sign Johnson, also have shown interest.

Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi refused comment.

In an interview with SI.com last week, Johnson suggested the Giants and Seahawks were among his top targets.

No matter who signs him, Johnson made it clear last week he's not looking to take a pay cut.

"I know exactly what I'm worth, and it's not $2.5 million a year," he told SI.com. "I know what I bring to a team, and if somebody comes calling who is willing to compensate me accordingly, I'm available."

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said recently that Johnson was one of the "top five competitors to ever put on a Cowboys uniform."

Johnson, entering his 11th season, is still a big-time player and could provide several intangibles to the Giants, against whom he caught eight passes for 120 yards in a Cowboys victory last October. Last season, he had 71 receptions for 839 yards (11.8-yard average) and six touchdowns. He commanded double teams, which opened up the field for teammate Terry Glenn, and remains one of the top blocking wide receivers in the league.

Furthermore, Johnson is still a clutch performer and is fearless going across the middle. He had 25 receptions for 256 yards and two touchdowns on third down, tied for sixth in the NFC.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin, who is close to Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, is believed to think Johnson is the kind of clutch player the Giants lack. Receiver Plaxico Burress, who was added as a free agent last year, started well but had only one 100-yard game in the final five weeks of the regular season. Burress also dropped a touchdown on the first offensive play of a Christmas Eve loss to the Redskins and was held without a catch in the team's shutout defeat to the Panthers in the playoffs.

Coughlin, who is close to Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, is said to be convinced Johnson can still play at a high level and does the little things to help a team win. He would provide solid blocking for running back Tiki Barber and the attention he would command in the passing game would create even more space for tight end Jeremy Shockey, Burress and 11-year veteran receiver Amani Toomer.

It's unclear exactly how much money Johnson is looking for, but he is said to want a multiyear deal, according to the friend. Thirty-something veterans such as Kevin Mawae ($4 million), Willie McGinest ($6 million) and Isaac Bruce ($6 million) have all done well on the free agent market this off-season. Johnson has earned $8 million over the past two seasons.

Despite his age, Johnson, a three-time Pro Bowler, remains productive. He's not far off his best season with the Jets, when he had 89 catches for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns in 1999, his final season with the club.

Since leaving the Jets, Johnson, who has also played with the Bucs, has won a Super Bowl, had a 100-catch season and gone to the Pro Bowl. Throughout his career, he has made the receivers playing opposite him better, including Wayne Chrebet, Keenan McCardell and Glenn. He has caught a pass in 151 consecutive games, second to only the Colts Marvin Harrison.

With holes at DT and LB, is the Ny FO gonna drop 2+mil on johnson?

Look at this art...he "believes" TC "likes" johnson...

I swear the media gets more pathetic each year...

    this art is utter garbage...

"if the numbers are right he could sign with the giants", a "friend" says..

well the same freind just told me that MIKE GARAFOLO is a fucking jerkoff that makes up bullshit, and that the closest he's ever come to playing football or having a decision that was football related was whlie playing this game..

    nfl_game.jpg

accroding to the vibrating football league sources keyshawn will have 105 catches this year as a NY giant..

Ny will void Toomers contract.."cause you can in that league" and free up some needed money for johnson

  4. Sure and while TO, Plaxico and Shockey are the ONLT receivers to igtnore their teams, Marvin harrison, Tory Holt and REAL pro receivers are showing up for their voluntary workouts. Plaxico and Shockey are pretenders, while receivers like marvin, Tory, Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald and the rest are the real deal. No matter, if the Giants sign Keyshawn, Plaxico and Shockey can stay in Miami. Shockey can learn his cblocking assignments in camp while Plaxico can watch Keyshawn and Toomer filling their roles as Eli's favorite and most dependable targets.

Coughlin is signing Keyshawn for a reason - he wants dependable receivers.

    http://boards.giants.com/forums/index.php?...opic=92437&st=0

seriously are you older then 12?

  5. McNabb beat the Giants game after game with Peeka-boo Pinky and Fred-X as his WRs - he will have no problem with Reggie Brown and someone else.

    Whatever you say...

The roster looks a little different for both teams...

Lockhart you are the epitome of hypocrite why not post us a link to the peeka-boo over the middle game again?? Or some more BS on how Mcsadd sucks..

You are so full of complete shit you can’t eve keep track of your lies and contradictions..

  6. When did I say I am discounting Pierce? Allen showing up? He cannot catch and got burned a few times. I like the upgrades, especially in the safty position. Allen is not a horrible CB but we could have done better. Maybe it was the defensive scheme. If Tiki gets hurt we are in a lot of trouble. As for Strahan, we do have Tuck who showed a lot last year as a Rookie. He is not 92 but he can fill in. Lets just not hope for that.

I didn;t mean to imply you where discounting AP, but the fab four seems to only see the glass as 1/2 empty...

The secondary has been upgraded not only play wise but coaching as well.

We need an decent LB and a solid DT, this WILL be a total upgrade to the defense, to not see this is insane..

how can you use the playoff game to gauge the defense!? NICK GREISEN ( the best LB on the field?) ,ALONZO JACKSON, KEVIN LEWIS....ect ect..these "members" are consistant jackoffs...

  7. The Eagles signed Darren Howard, a defensive End in the Dwight Freeney mold - he was the Saints Franchise Tag player in 2005. The rest of their problems were injury related. They still need a WR, but that is about it. The Giants got to play a injury riddled Eagle team in 2005 - that won't be the case in 2006. When healthy, McNabb has owned the Giants.

Howard has not played a full season since 2002

Philly let Runyan go, kearse sucked last year...ect ect...

    T.O. is gone....

and McNabb is going to jump right back in a saddle and kill NY...

It's amazing that you guys call yourselves NY fans...

    stratch that.. it's pathetic...

  8. What year, last year? When healthy the defense let qb's throw for over 300 yards a game. Our secondary was in shambles. There were a few games were we seemed to improve but saying this seconday was good last year is a farce. I told you, I am in agreement with you with the DT position and adding some linebackers. I am more worried about these positions now then the secondary. Yes, I am suspect of Madison's age. I think we can get a year or two out of him. We did not over pay him and spent less than half of what Miami was paying him. I like Webster. He could bring a lot to the table for the Giants. There is just trouble with rookie CB's. It seems to take time for them to adjust to the NFL. That us why I do not support a CB in the first round. It takes some time for them to develop. We do need to address this issues now though and in the early rounds of the draft. I am also in favor of trying to get another wide receiver either now or early in the draft. We need someone to compliment Burress and Toomer is getting older. Our Wideouts are just not cutting it. What do you think Sack?

looking at the FA pick ups IMO we don't get a DB in the draft....

and lets not forget wilson..allen and wilson seemed to be the only db's to show up at times last year..

anything over delotche is an improvment...

IMO ny will pick up a LB that will step in and at least be fucntional...

AP is the heart and soul of the LB core now...He's not going anywhere...to discount this is stupidity.. as long as he's healthy the DB core will not be a glaring weakness...one average DB and DT, will at the very least be an improvement on last year...

you want to worry, worry about age catchin 92...and barber

  9. Read any news? It's been made clear that Synder did not like Arrington during his stay in Washington.

same old BS these guys goes right over all the real facts and focuses on one opinion that has slightly more then zero merit to it to make a point..

  10. Arrington didn't start in 8 games in 2005 and only played in 4 games in 2004. Even when he was healthy last year he didn't play on every down as he is a disaster in pass coverage. Washington didn't even consider him a starter when the other linebackers were healthy. In fact he is worse than Barrett Green in both injury situation and ability - at least Green can play pass defense. Demps is a lifetime backup that had a partially torn ACL in November - no wonder Ozzie Newsome let him go.

that’s eight more games then green played, Geen is constantly INj'ed...I don't want Arrington but to compare him to green is ridicules..

As it is to say the defense has taken a step back...

Demps started in somthing like 47 out of 50+ games..

why do you just make up bullshit?

Mcquaters will be starting this year also...

    dope

  11. Bottom line is our defense today is much weaker than the group that ,when healthy last year, played. You can't expect draft choices to immediately step in and make an impact. Ernie needed to come out of the gate swinging in this FA pool and he failed.

    really?

    explain...

  12. Never said the Giant young players wouldn't improve-still the Giants are the 4th defense in the NFC East. After watching this offseason unfolding the Giant defense may have actually weakened with the loss of Clancy and Will Allen, with only the aging Madison as a possible starter of quality. If Griesen goes the Giants will be worse shape than they were in 2005. Arrington is just another Barrett Green. As of this moment, it looks as if the Giants have gone backwards intheir overall team strength and depth, particularly on defense.

    LMAO...

how is arrington a barret green? he played last year...

and as far as the playoffs go 1/2 the LB starters where inj'ed.

the draft hasn't started NY has picked up mult DB's..

madison is the only starter of quality?

    Demps is a good player...

you can make a case that Manning has not lived up to the hype but this is pure stupidity

  13. yeah !! and if we were to have kept him he would have done the same old !

Both teams took a risk ! We know one thing Allen cant catch a cold !!

    true true....

but...a new year a new team...maybe some new hands....

    then again maybe not....

  14. Just wait. If you think that he isn't going to help them then you are fooling yourself.

As long as they keep winning Dallas will role the moment there is a bump in the road..

the potential derailing will start...and the media will fan that flame into a firestorm...

  15. stick a fucking tampon in your vagina, you whiny bitch.

    bump...

Game one hasn't been played yet but Dallas and Washington has zoomed by NY...

The stupidity from these women is unending...

one tampon is not gonna stop the gusher between her legs...i suggest pampers or depends..

    twats

  16. Dear Nutty Sac;

Your are absolutely correct. There has been 'great minds' who have suffer from being labeled as radical and absurd. But I can assure you, you're not one of them. You see, these great thinkers had something you obvious don't posses. And that's a sense of reality.

Lets think about this for one moment. You..Want to trade Shockey for a second overall draft pick. Your logic behind this move is the Saints are dumb enough to fall for this trade. (Good logic by the way)

    Now, you think shockey overrated:

-You say he not a Pro-bowl caliber TE (Even though he's been to 3 pro-bowls)

-You say he drops alot of ball. (But he only had 6 drop balls all year)

-You say he can't block (but then, TC has on several occasions praised Shockey's blocking)

But lets say what you is true...You expect, even though you say Shockey is overrated, for the Saints to give the Giants a second overall draft pick for a overrated TE? (talk about contradicting)That's the difference between a genius and a complete moron.

I want to trade Finn for a Number one overall draft pick. Does it mean its going to happen? Of course not.

    :worshippy:

    no domes!!!!
