  2. I can't argue. If excitement all the time is what you crave baseball is not your answer. It helps if you watch the game from a strategy perspective and understand the nuances of the game but that's not for everyone either. But I'll tell you there is nothing that quite compares to a clean base hit up the middle in a late inning game with a tie score and a man on second or a key strike out with two men on. The excitement in baseball doesn't happen all the time but when it does you appreciate more rather than take it for granted.

i look forward to hearing all about it until the end of Aug....at every family picnic...every get together....

    :explode:

  3. Jersey is a shit hole, I'd rather be in Miami too. Almost anyone would rather be somewhere else than where they work at, but they suck it up and go to work everyday. Shock and Bitch should do the same, they had two months to train in Miami before our preseason workouts began.

    is that soooooooo....

    where do you live vermin?????

  4. Easy now....I love baseball. LT smoked crack at the same time he played so....

I got 1/2 on the family as Yankee fans....

  5. I was adding to it. My post was directed lemmiwiks. Sorry for the confusion.

well ths is more fun the reading another LA thread..........................................................................

    ................................................................................

    ................................................................................

    .............................................

    the offseason sucks....

and what the fuck is baseball anyway...

can a sport be considered a sport when you can chew tobacco and play at the same time???

  6. Not Bavaro...He wasn't a traitor he wqas released and still wanted to play. He played for the Browns I think before going to Philly. Bavaro is one of the good guys. Dhani Jones is a better example or Dan Cambell or the Tuna himself. Not Mark.

i thought this was my point.... :(

  7. Here's the kicker - last off season he stays in Miami to regain the form he had his rookie year - The Giants make the playoffs and he disappears again, just like 2002.

Bavaro was a football player - Shockey is the metro-sexual Self-absorbed TE that can't block, drops passes and whines a lot.

Mark Bavaro has Super Bowl Rings - 2 of them and was an intergral part of winning them. Shockey disappears or drops TD passes in critical moments of playoff games.

    LOL...

    Here's the kicker -

    Lockhart is a metro-sexual, Self-absorbed, and whines a lot.

Mark Bavaro has Super Bowl Rings - 2 of them and was an intergral part of winning them.

  8. Year Team Games Rec Yards Y/R TD

    1985 NYG 16 37 511 13.8 4

    1986 NYG 16 66 1001 15.2 4

    1987 NYG 12 55 867 15.8 8

    1988 NYG 16 53 672 12.7 4

    1989 NYG 7 22 278 12.6 3

    1990 NYG 15 33 393 11.9 5

    1992 CLE 16 25 315 12.6 2

    1993 PHI 16 43 481 11.2 6

    1994 PHI 12 17 215 12.6 3

    Career Totals 126 351 4733 13.5 39

Now are we comparing Shockey to NY Bavaro or PHI Bavaro.....The guy was a fucking trader....No real Giant would ever play for the Eagles :furious:

NY let him go because of his knees....if you saw him play in philly you might feel different...

in obvious pain he would come in and play..if memory serves me correctly he did not start and would come in as needed..

The guy should not have been on the field....

  9. oh pleaseeee !!!! are you just in search of another

victim to get all wordy with ?

I have a problem with those 2 players at the moment.

I dont agree with there methods. (my opinion)

As far as belonging to any association (fab4)

i'm flattered but I have to pass on that !!

the fab 4 has their moments of truth just like you do.

  10. Ando now for something completely similar to the last thing he posted...(drum roll, please!)

Here are some questiosn for you:

    1. How is the TE position different in this era from thos past?

    2. What's different about the TE role in our offense than those of Parcells?

    3. In the only year Shockey didn't make the PB, was his role more or less like it was

    the years before and since?

    4. Why is it that you write about things that you don't understand?

Isn't there a plague that befalls people (like you) with such a committment to being an annoyance to good people?

    maybe it's gay pride month...

New Giants Stay Close, Not Only in Coverage

    By CLIFTON BROWN

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 28 — The lockers of Sam Madison, Will Demps and R. W. McQuarters are side by side in the Giants' locker room.

The arrangement is not a coincidence. The three are part of a new secondary, and they hope to form an effective bond, starting with the off-season conditioning program being held at Giants Stadium.

After ranking 27th among 32 teams in pass defense last season, the Giants retooled their secondary through free agency, signing cornerbacks Madison, McQuarters and Jason Bell, and safeties Demps and Quentin Harris. While some Giants like Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey are working out elsewhere, McQuarters, Demps and Madison are with their new teammates, hoping to accelerate the adjustment process.

"The chemistry seems pretty good right now," McQuarters said Tuesday, standing in front his locker. "I know it's just off-season workouts, but you want to start somewhere. This is a good place to start."

Coach Tom Coughlin will not hand a starting job to anyone, but McQuarters and Madison hope to start, joining Demps and Gibril Wilson at the safety positions. For Madison, coming to New York after nine seasons with the Miami Dolphins is an opportunity to prove he can still do the job as a starting corner; he will turn 32 in April.

Madison has been to four Pro Bowls and has 31 interceptions, but he has made only two picks the past two seasons. He is sure to be tested in the National Football Conference East, where he will face explosive receivers like Terrell Owens of the Cowboys and Santana Moss of the Redskins twice a season. Madison sounded eager for the challenge.

"The Dolphins pretty much didn't even give me an opportunity to come back, because they said I didn't make a lot of plays," said Madison, who was released by Miami. "When the ball did come my way, I made great plays on the ball. As long as we can create turnovers and give the ball back to the offense, that's my main objective."

Madison has the locker that used to belong to Will Allen, who signed with the Dolphins.

"I didn't pick this locker, they gave me this locker," Madison said. "It's not about the locker, it's about the person when you step on the football field. Over the last four or five years, I think I've only missed one game. I can count on my hand the number of touchdowns I've given up, the number of big plays I've given up. My body's good, my mind's right, I have a fresh start."

Madison said he had spent much of his time in New York getting to know his secondary mates.

"I could have been at home working out," he said. "But then once I come in, they won't know who Sam Madison is."

Demps, 26, needed surgery last season for a partly torn left knee ligament, but he said Tuesday that he was 90 percent healed.

With the secondary needs addressed, Giants players were curious to see where the free-agent linebacker LaVar Arrington would sign. Arrington recently visited the Giants, and Jacksonville and Miami are also interested.

"LaVar Arrington is a good football player, but we also have good football players here," said Osi Umenyiora, the Pro Bowl defensive end. "I don't think we necessarily need him, but if he wants to come here, and they want him here bad enough, they're going to get him here. You can never have enough good players. Any team he goes to, he's going to make a better football team, immediately."

    EXTRA POINTS

Eli Manning said it was not a major concern that wide receiver Plaxico Burress and tight end Jeremy Shockey were not attending off-season workouts yet. "Last year I made a little deal about it, because it was going to be my first year starting at quarterback, and I wanted Shockey to be here," he said. "But we just played a whole season together. We can pick up on things quicker. Between the mandatory minicamps, we'll have plenty of time to get back on the same page."

  12. Yes ! it doesnt make sense to speak to a player through the media.

men speak to men directly !!!!!

    example:

TC: "plax i am pissed that you didnt show up for that last team meeting.

who the fuck do you think you are. I dont give a shit how much money

we pay you. If you pull that shit again I will sit your ass for the season

and have you pass out the gatoraide!!!!

Plax: " can we talk about this later shockey and the girls are waiting for me

in the limo and they just lite up a dobbie!! I'll call you when I get to Miami !

    (ya right!!) "

    <_<

maybe you should start a thread about this....

    and work on the dialog...

we could have a five page thread on this....
