  1. Awkward too big for their own feet Odd looking in general. Not meant to function as they appear, meaning they really aren't practical shoes. Most people find them funny to watch. Are the last thing a clown puts on while dressing.
  2. Baas has been in the league since 05. His played special teams and guard up until last year. After the 09 season the 9ers gave him a one year deal, he started all 16 games at center (first year). At the end of that season they didn't even tender an offer. Dan Koppen one of the best centers (currently on the pats) in the league an 8 year vet and probowl player his base salary was 2.9 million this year Baas's salary is comparable with that. Koppen went down with an inj in october that being said the Giants paid a guy who has not proven himself a probowl salary for a position he's barley played at. So you tell me, does it make sense to pay a guy a salary equivalent to one of the top players at that position when you are almost completely unproven at that same position? one more analogy if you where a business owner and had an employee who was out sick more then he worked would that be a good personnel move?
  3. O'Hara was 33 last year and Subert 32. we had enough cap room to give Baas 8.3 mil signing bonus and a 2+ mil base. Baas played one year as a starting center and signed for probowl money The Baas signing is a complete and total bust. That combined with the lack of foresight in addressing the future of an aging oline punctuated with season ending injuries is bordering on a epic fail. How can you not fault Reese? And my point about Fewell and Killdrive is that if they do infact take the division Mara and Tish will not make a change you can write that one down. I would love to have Spags back and boot killdrive and Fewell. But I just don't see it. Maras speech after the 09 season about change amounted to what? Fewell was the DC for the second worse defensive performance by the Giants in franchise history. Could not agree more with booting this guy.
  4. If they take the division does anyone here really think anyone will be going? And with all of the injuries this year, it's hard to believe this team is where it is. My biggest complaint now is how Reese handled free agency, and how he let the oline disintegrate.
  5. I would like to see Rodgers play behind our oline.
  6. Osi wants big money. Do you really think Reese is going to open the bank from him?

The Frankenline. The line is actually playing better without some starters and guys moving around. Although I did see Diehl get used a few times. The guy is 31 and still saving the Giants collective asses. Never the less it would not suprise me if Dallas took the division when they play again at MetLife. Either way IMO neither team will make it to the NFCC. Hey didn't you and I have an agreement that you would never post here again after the Giants beat NE in the superbowl? LMAO!!!!
  8. 300 level. I think got the shaft. But Tailgating has definitely taken a shot. spots are smaller, less port-a-johns. And that strip of grass is now off limits. when you come off the turnpike on the right parallel with route 3. I have to park in the izod center parking lot now. I can;t believe you have not had issue with people standing in the exit of the bathroom window shopping. There was nothing wrong with the old stadium...nothing....It's all about the bars, shops, and corporate suites. Seriously why would anyone goto a game and sit at a bar? You can do that anywhere. I'm just an odd animal with this anyway. At home I watch just about every game outside at my house I have a fire pit out back, speaker system in the trees, and a LCD projector to watch the games on. Rain sleet snow I'm out there.
  9. I forgot one more gem. The upper tier has a halo. A metal structure that houses the sound system and some lighting. It hangs about 30-40 feet over some seats in the upper bowl. When it rains it drips water on fans sitting under it. The October 30th game after the snow it was beautiful out, sunny sky etc people sitting under that thing where getting pissed on all game by melting snow. There is no doubt in my mind that when (if ever) we have a cold weather game with sleet/ice, icicles and falling Ice is going to cause some serious issues. Someone is going to get fucked up from that. Blind, knocked the fuck out something. MArk it down.
  10. I could almost guarantee you that anyone who the NFL actually cared about will be sitting in a climate controlled room for the superbowl. Its a monstrosity for someone who likes to sit outside during games, who thinks beer, hotbogs hamburgers and onions peppers and sausage subs should be the only food you're able to buy at the games. For someone whose worried they may miss a play having to take a piss and doesn't have time to stare at a Manning Jersey at the bathroom exit. For someone who thinks having MULTIPLE full bars in a stadium is a waste of valuable seating space. For the NFL brass it's a wet dream. IF it where domed they would consider it NFL corporate paradise.
  11. It's not just accessibility. They have done everything in their power to make tailgating a less attractive option, more so for the less classy fans. There is a strip of glass that runs parallel to the verizon parking area. For over 20 years people parked on there and grilled BBQ'ed etc. When i asked parking staff why we could not park there they said (quote) "management is trying to get away from that" (end quote). There is a NFL pro shop at the exit of every bathroom. So when you are coming out of the pisser you (no lie) can window shop for NFL merchandise. Metlife stadium is the antithesis of how gay the NFL has become, how commercialized the sport is now. Metlife stadium is populated by kittens, and fluffy foof dogs that get carried around in pairs Hiltons pocketbook. Tickets have been in my family since 73, when the new stadium opened. Growing up I sat next to die hard fans that stayed until the end of the game. Did the wave and knew the players. lets just say the people around me now know more about The View then whats going on, on the field. If I had to wager a guess they watch more reality TV then any sports. It's FUCKING SICKENING...................
  12. If you like watching the game from a window it's awesome. If you actually like going to games and actually watching the game it's the same sight lines as the old stadium just a little father back. Geting to the seats is a total cluster fuck if you are up high (300 level) there is no straight shot to your seats you have to take several escalators so unless you're a puss walking is the way togo. Other then that......the place is a total abomination. It was build for gay pirate fun, for rich guys who like to wear footie PJ's to NFL games favorite activities include texting their "buds" on how cool the fireplace is. Watching the game on the flat screen at the bar. And using their preferred parking passes as coaster for 20 dollar drinks..
  13. They way the Giants have played the last three seasons. The MO would be this.... They beat Dallas this weekend, handedly, Washington and the jets....then get smoked at home by Dallas for the division and a playoff birth. And not just smoked they play like lost sheep, Romo and crew laugh and play on the giants sideline basically whipping their junk out and give the entire team a golden shower. Coughlin will tell us all to kiss his ass if we don't like it. Mara will once again promise change. While stoking his fireplace in the coaches suit. I go on a drinking binge for three months.............
  14. According to Wikipedia the last time they sold stock the added suits without changing the seating in the bowl. The took a survey recently about adding view platforms and an additional 7000+ seating. They did all of this with fans voluntarily buying "stock". Comparing how the packers do business and treat their fans and how the New York Giants do the same is an exercise in futility it's a flat out embarrassment.
  15. Sound familiar? December 13** 7:20 p.m. EST** at Minnesota Vikings W 21–3 9–4 December 19 1:00 p.m. EST Philadelphia Eagles L 31–38 9–5 December 26 4:15 p.m. EST at Green Bay Packers L 17–45 9–6 January 2 4:15 p.m. EST[5] at Washington Redskins W 17–14
  16. The sad fact of the matter is no one cares. As long as the seats are paid for. I gots mine........... The game is now a sideshow not the main event. i love the coaches club with the fireplace in it. It looks nicer them some town homes I've seen.
  17. the season is not over yet they could be ball suckers they could be worse or they could take the division. As of right now they are on a 4 game skid which is the usual blumpkin that is the Giants at the end of the year. If you like being feed a pile of horseshit each year by Management and told to kiss the coaches ass after the team embarrass themselves, blow the division, and miss the playoffs then your logic is on par with thinking this team above average. I see a team that shows up one week and sleeps the next then pounds their collective chests in the media on how they are world beaters. Complain about the organization in GQ cry about TC and their roll with the team in the media in general, and come out and say that the coaching assessments means nothing.
  18. And get served from the bar, hit the caving station, grab some sushi, this is not going to a football game this is watching from a five star hotel window. I don't get it I don't like it. And it has taken the die hard fans out of the stadium. There are a ton of seats in these "clubs" that you can't even see the game live. WTF? So these rich assholes are going to the game for what reason? For the price they pay the could rent out a hall and show the game at a catered event. Whats worse is they pay for parking that they never use. Did you happen to see anyone using a red parking pass as a coaster? If so can you punch them in the face for me?
  19. What will really be a tough pill to swallow is if they beat washington Dallas, and the Jets then lose to Dallas at home with the division on the line.
  20. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/12/antrel_rolle_has_no_doubt_gian.html http://youtu.be/U7fjDS0jKiE
  21. can't afford to see the the sushi bar and other game day stadium amenities that is now associated with NFL football?? in particular New York Giants football. Lets take a tour together now. List of clubs with links to pics
  22. Right and the parking situation. If you have been tot the stadium you can;t avoid this one. 15 minutes before kickoff and the "preferred" parking is practically empty. Lot 16 where I parked with my father since I was a kid is now "preferred" parking. Largely empty as we walk our way in from east bumble fuck. If Wellington wasn't alive when they where designing the stadium do you think it would have been an open one? Meaning no dome? Somehow I think not. it's not about "fucking" food it's about catering to a crowd that's not interested in watching the game and rooting the team on.And if you have been to the games this is obvious.
  23. This red herring in all of this is this. How many teams in the NFL have gone undefeated during the regular 16 game season? The odds are that the pack will lose at least one game before the end of the season. The pack clinches the division with either a win this week or a lions loss. And IMO it's almost a lock that the Saints beat the lions this week. The point is I see this game as a winnable game for the Giants. But in the same breath I don't feel it would be beating a focused firing on all cylinders pack team. A team that lets someone put up 577 yards on them, I want to see coaching changes. Could a win here give the media and fans a false sense of hope?
  24. The Giants gave up 577 yards to the saints. From what I have read this is the second worst defensive performance in Giants history. Now Fewell comes out in the media and is running his mouth!?!? I am so sick of these guys talking about how things are going to change after getting embarrassed publicly. After Mara came out and said things would change and nothing has. What else can anyone in the organization say to make the fans optimistic? It's a total fucking joke. And I can't fucking take it anymore. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! beat the packer then come out and say you motivated them, you got them fired up. This pregame horse shit is just that not to mention this gives the pack BB material. And I'm sick of it.
