  1. I think they’re expecting to move Danny outside the pocket and have the fast WR way behind the defense when he throws the ball...it’s a good risk. It’s worked on every team that’s employed a healthy Desean Jackson.
  2. Yeah, so it does free up some through the method I described but like was mentioned, the team has to operate at the very least like Solder is either restructured or cut (I personally think they should restructure him solely because he wasn’t horrible and he makes for good depth). Golladay would be a necessity here. He’s 6’4 and dominant when he is healthy. And I honestly believe that the Giants should draft their highest rated WR or the TE Pitts with their number one, too. Daniel Jones has to be supplied weapons. And it’s been proven over two seasons now that the current crop of Shepard, Slayton, and Engram can’t get it done.
  3. So correct me if I’m wrong, at least a portion of that 45 guaranteed is going to be a signing bonus. The signing bonuses can then be used to lower yearly cap hits, correct? In future years, teams can also convert salary to signing bonuses as a way to restructure and offset cap hits. The Giants seem to be one team that doesn’t do this very often, however.
  4. Because his cap hit isn’t the franchise tag number now.
  5. From what I understand the only way they were signing anyone at all was with Williams out of the way. There wasn’t any money. Now there is. I don’t think the 2.5 for this year for Ross changes it that much.
  6. They should be, hopefully. Ross is another slot guy, again. Speedy guy though.
  7. John Ross is a good signing. Hopefully not prohibitive to Golladay or Curtis Samuel though.
  8. We just signed a fullback...so two positions that fade in importance each and every year FB and KR...Dave Gettleman is focusing on, lol.
  9. The only issue with the Giants returners was that they actually thought it was wise to return kicks, at all. Peppers was a fine punt returner, though. It is detrimental to even bother to return kickoffs, though. Kickoffs shouldn’t even exist in their current form.
  10. Apparently, Judge is smitten with the guy.
  11. Spreading the cap over four years, three of them fake, lol. It probably allows them to avoid dead money next year, too, if they void him.
  12. So who do we pay too much money this year to return kicks, for some reason? I’m seeing Cordarrelle Patterson. It warms my heart to see that it’s been like a decade now and the Giants haven’t figured out that because of rule changes, kick and punt returner isn’t a position that requires a roster spot, lol. Just put anyone out there who can watch the ball sail into the end zone. Most receivers and running backs can wave a hand for fair catch and catch a punt, too. Patterson’s value is as a backup running back; not as a kick return specialist, lol.
  13. They do; they refuse to resign them. Devon Kenard and Romeo Okwara are starters. Hankins is a starter. Linval Joseph was a starter.
  14. I can’t believe how utterly mismanaged this team is. Worst record in the last 4 or 5 years in all of the NFL and the team is completely broke and primed to be worse than 2020. I’m OK losing Tomlinson just because the team seems incapable of missing on DT picks but Jesus, how many 6-10 teams have gotten significantly WORSE as soon as free agency started?
  15. Yeah, I’d rather see him off the field entirely, I was being generous giving him the slot.
  16. Imagine Golladay across from Jaylen Waddle with Shepherd back where he belongs, in the slot.
  17. They let him just resign and extend Logan Ryan for some reason, like safety was a pressing need that couldn’t have just been filled with a mid round pick or UDFA. My guess is that Gettleman isn’t going anywhere. You don’t give the current GM input on the next years roster this late in the season if you aren’t planning on keeping him.
  18. Logan Ryan with a great tackle.
  19. Giants got em this drive though.
  20. Must win for them. They can’t afford to go a quick three and out.
  21. That’s way too much for an aged defensive back that no other team wanted that they has to transition to a safety. Lol.
  22. There’s a wide open Dez Bryant TD on Logan Ryan. There’s no reason to pay that dude as much as they paid him.
  23. Peppers, McKinney, Julian love. How many safeties do you need on the field at once?
  24. There’s younger players on the team at the position that should be on the field...
