I guess the bullet throw to Steve Smith on the sidelines in which Smith tip toed the siudelines for a first down wasn't a good throw? If that throw is a little off we probably don't win the superbowl - but it wasn't - it was a damn bullet at his chest in a huge point in the game. Bash Eli all you want. Other than Ben he's the best 4th quarter quarterback in the NFL

Eli is good, very good

Peyton is League MVP material

this might actualy be a good trade for both teams

Thinking back I think the team threw in the towel when they realized Spags had his bags packed

Remember Coughlin was all set to get his ticket punched the year before he hired Spags

AFAIC, there hasn't been a Giant's linebacker since Pepper Johnson worthy of being in the same sentence as Harry Carson, let alone the same field. None. So if you think I'm going to drop on my knees and do some oral clampdown of Pierce, you're out of your mind.

 

He utterly failed as a leader off the field, although he did get stuck with some extraordinary circumstances and I'm not sure if I would have behaved differently.

 

He's getting slow as hell.

 

He had one outstanding injury-shortened season with us, followed by 3 ok seasons.

 

It wouldn't even shock me if he turned out to be as dirty a player as he's been accused in some articles, considering some of the personal fouls he's drawn.

 

And still, he's a better choice than Blackburn.

Chase is a natural MLBer......if your saying he was just ok at WIL I would agree.......Pierce could not play WIL at all

no way no how......When Chase has played MLBer for the Giants take a look at the stats.......hes been awesome

I remember his 1st MLBer game last year against SFO He stormed into the backfield on the first play and nailed Frank Gore who he then held to 6 yds positive for the entire game

He needs a 6-8 game run at MLBer to shut you up.......for some mysterious reason i expect we will be served up another entire season of ol Gimpy at MLBer tis year though

the usual suspects in such a demise are

1- injures

2- The QB

3- the coaches

Frankly I was horrified at how fast our level of play fell off towards the end

Thoughout giants history they have made lousy front runners

The fall off after Plaxico shot himself could not have been all him

I suspect Coughlin is losing his sway a bit

With Spags gone things could get ugly quick this year

We're going to see alot of Ware in the pre-season. I can't wait. This guy is pretty good. I wouldn't go as far to say he's better then Jacobs, Ward, or Bradshaw but he defiantly has the talent to compete with them.

Last pre-season Ware seemed to be the pick of the litter......but you could argue pre-season D, and the fact the others had assured spots

Ware is big and runs big with good feet, and change of direction.....he also runs downhill which you have to like

I hope Reese has a few good moves up his sleeve because the general impression I'm getting with Spags gone and Plax possibly going to jail is that we are at least temporarily slipping backwads. With Plax we beat both of the SB contenders last year......without him we got pummeled

Plaxico or "Spiderman" as Reese refers to him has such a huge sweet spot (about 20 ft across) that he could haul in Eli's wind blown poorly spiraled knuckleballs. Its amazing how loose Eli's spiral is compared to Peyton's perhaps tightest spiral in the game (him or Brady).

Stewart Bradley is just another system linebacker for the Eagles, god help him if he tries to play elsewhere..... see that waste of time Jeremiah Trotter as an example.

 

Not that I really think that Cushing will be the second coming of Ray Nitschke or Dick Butkus but I think that he is alot more versitile than a downhill, one dimensional player like Bradley.
