I think this whole leadership thing can be widely over-stated. That position can use an upgrade for sure.. which is why I suspect we will be drafting a stud MLB to start next season.

If chase cannot hold fort he will be returning to the back up role and one of the rookies starting by game 8

I think the interviewed coaches are misguided in thinking that the Giants signed D talent to hide Sheridan. The Giants filled needs just like very team and got some, hopefully, good talent at the same time. The D got the FA signings because there really isn't any need on O that could have been filled with FA. WR is the only need and Houshmenzadeh isn't the type of WR needed.

I would love to have T.O. Barry Cofield and I are on the same page on this one. Barry was inteviewed on New4 and said the Giants were just the sort of team that could deal with the talented but loud mouthed WR.

I think in some sense SFO, Philly and Dallas blamed T.O. for the fact they had disfunctional inept teams

T.O. is the perfect scapegoat but all 3 teams suffered, and will suffer when he leaves....their problems are not centered on one poor soul.

You never know. Looks at that Saints with that Colston(sp?) kid, he was what their last pick of the draft that year? The Saints were praising the kid all throughout training camp and all the "experts" were already deeming him a flop and how stupid the Saints were for not getting a true #2 Wr that year. What do you know the kid is now the #1 Wr there and one of the better WRs in the league.

 

I'll take the teams evaluation over anyone on an message board any day, so you never know. Maybe Manningham is ready to go out and flat out play, I mean he was a first round pick(projected) until the whole Marry-J incident. It would be nice if the Giants said something like "Oh we believe in so and so he will be our #1" but I think they are going to hold off on that till the draft.

I think Plax will get probation and a large fine. He will be there as a starter this September
