I posted earlier about this kid. He has been lights out. And I expect him to be a starter next year. Does anyone have the skinny on Ian Kennedy?

But to say Jeter has no range just proves you haven't watched him lately.

Jeter has no range now and nobody on the Yankees steal nearly as much as Reyes. We don't have a single player that I'd feel comfortable sending to steal third.

I think the Yanks have 5 players in double figures with steals. Abreu, Jeter, A-Rod, Damon & Cabrera. No other team in BB has as many. And I love Reyes. He is a very exciting player & fun to watch. IMMHO of course.

I turned the half time show off because Tiki was on it. From what i saw in the first half, Eli was dead on accurate except for one throw, and that was the holding call the D got so who knows where the WR was supposed to go. All his throws were money and he looked like he was directing the offense at the line very, very well.

I thought he finally looked like his big bro at the line of scrimmage. His throws were dead on. JUst maybe this will be his year.

I was very encouraged by the overall play of both the offensive line and defensive line. It appears that Eli is settling down and that we won't miss Tiki nearly as much as we thought.

Since I actually saw Dimaggio, Mantle, Willie etc etc play I simply know better than to try to claim that anyone with 2 years in the league is better than a future Hall of Famer. Best player in his prime - toss up between Mays & Mantle.

And the reason I know about him is because he plays in NY. I still do not normally watch the Mets nor any other NL team I know a little bit about the Cubs cause I worked in Chicago for 8 years. I know a little about St. Louis because Scott Rolen went to school with 2 of my kids and he was a neighbor in Jasper, IN. Wonderful young man from a nice family.

And he is the best shortstop in the National League, I keep forgetting if a player

doesn't have a ring, some Yankees fans have no clue who he is.

 

If he were actually on a good team he'd be an MVP candidate and probably win.

I'm not comparing careers, I'm comparing present day players. Jeter's defense has been less than average this season.

Jeter is batting over .330 for the year and won another game tonight. Clutch player come to mind?

I'm sorry how can this even be an argument? Jeter career wise hits nearly 30 points better than Reyes. Is someone kidding me? Other than speed and yes Reyes is faster, they both play great defensive shortstop IMO but like I said earlier Jeter has made some plays that are on the all time best play list. Let's see where Reyes is in another 5 years and then you can compare them.

reyes 5 seasons 41 HR, 230 RBI, BA .289 Fielding avg 11.7 errors per season

Jeter - 13 seasons 191 HR, 912 RBI, .317 career BA He averaged a little more than 13 errors per season.

The only area that young Reyes has Jeter beat is stolen bases.

So before we compare them let's see Reyes win 4 World Championships and be MVP of the All Star Game and the World Series

I have been a Strahan fan for all of his career, but this is such self serving tripe. He needs to shyt or get off the pot. Sorry Mike, but youu can't have it both ways. IMO

I really like Reyes. I hope he becomes a great player like DJ and win all those Championships. But to say Reyes is a better player than Jeter is simply naive at best stupid at worst. Jeter has an uncanny ability to make plays that Reyes only dreams about maiking. Is Reyes fun to watch? Absolutely, but he is in the majors 3-4 years and you are trying to compare him to a future HOFamer?

Does anyone make that jump, spin move to first from deep in the hole any better than Jeter? Is anyone more clutch than he has been? Let Reyes stay healthy and play another 6-10 years and then we can compare them. For now just enjoy the fact that NY has 2 exceptional shortstops.

I don't know what football question you asked but I will tell you this. Once teams kept Romo in the pocket and pressured him up the middle he was done. They limited his scrambling abilities which IMO is his best ability and once they did that they were able to shut him down. Just look at his last few games including that horrific playoff debacle.

Lube & UK, I have been a fan for over 50 years and i am so tired of these primadonnas like Strahan who put themselves above the team. I she a HOFamer? Yes but he's also seen his best days. While I have been a huge MS fan I believe his divorce and alkl the baggage have done something to unhinge his mind.
