  1. What a great problem for Torre. I'm not sure where he plays Abreu but I like moving Giambi down to 5th. Jeter is prolly the best #2 hitter in baseball. I'm not that familiar with Abreu but he's a lifetime 301 hitter so hopefully he fits in wherever you play him. As far as melky is concerned the kid proved he belongs but if Matsui comes back and Abreu basically replaces Sheff (long term) than where does Melky play?

I hope we don't trade him although he might fetch a really good arm.

I see where we got Craig Wilson so he replaces Phillips in the line up and maybe Phillips is a tradeable guy.

  2. Thanks Nem don't worry about this old codger. My blood beeds Giant Blue. For over 50 years now I have been a Giants and Yankees fan. When my blood isn't bleeding blue, it bleeds pinstripes. :)

I am hoping for 2 world championships this year.

  3. Does it matter? It's an exhibition game. I'm pretty sure if the players really felt like it meant something, they would try to bust up double plays instead of just veering off into the outfield when running to second base.

Unfortunately it does matter beccause like it or not the AL will now have home field advantage for the World Series.

  4. Are YOU kidding?

Derrik Ward is NOT a starting caliber running back, and Brandon Jacobs was unimpressive in his rookie season.

How much NFL sucess between the two of them have they had?

You are forgetting, Tiki is a great runner, catcher, and blocker.

Not only that, but we have nobody who has hsown they can run 20 times a game.

In fact, we overuse Tiki because our backups simply are a major drop off from Tiki, it would almost be like the Yankees losing Mo, there is nobody who is experienced in the position.

Again, one bad play for Tiki and we are staring at the 1999, 2003, and 2005 Jets with respect to Testaverde, Pennington, and Martin, I really feel better about getting some depth, somebody who could be a starter in case...

I saw jacobs play in college and he CAN play. He averaged 6.7 YPRush for his entire collegiate career. So if given the opportunity and not just 1 yard for a first down he will do a great job.

If ever there is a BS play it is 4th and 1 and in comes Jacobs and everyone knows he's going to get the flippin ball. Play action once or twice and see the fdifference.

  5. Yes either way is fine !! i'm hoping they take

    1 DT

    2 LB

    1 CB

    1 WR

    1 OT

    :flex:

The only difference I see with this is they will take an OL much higher. Someone to groom to replace Petipuke. I don't see us taking a LB that high with Arrington and Short coming on board.
