    1. Pawn Girardi off on the Cubs, and give the job to Posada so he doesn't play any more.

    lol..fine.

    2. Bring back Molina so he can tutor Montero, our first string catcher next yr.

    Thats fine.

    3. Keep Berkman.

    See nothing wrong with this.

    4. Sign Jeter and fix him.

    You can't fix age.

    I beg to differ. <_<

    5. Keep Arod away from the weights. He's getting too fuckin' muscle bound.

    Keep Arod away from October.

    6. Put Joba back in the rotation. From what I saw, Alby can take his place in the pen, no problem.

    Joba is a lost cause.

Joba is just beginning to mature, an exc. #3

    7. Get a top notch out fielder, one with a good arm, speed, and can hit in the post season.

    Jason Werth.

I'm fine with that. From what I've seen of him, another Paul O'niell, and he'll probably be cheaper than Crawford.

  3. It's not the D's fault. Two redzone turn-overs and two missed field goals cost us that game.

I'm worried about our OLine vs the Bears front 4.

I worry about our OLine vs any front 4. It was bad enough when they weren't opening up holes for our RB's. Now Eli barely has time enough to pick up his primary receiver, never mind a secondary one.

On a side note, I don't understand SW's love for Hedgecock. What the hell does this guy do except take up a roster spot?

  4. Overall, I'm pleased with these cuts. Bomar never impressed me, and as to why Alford was cut, maybe it's the effort thing. All you hear during a game is 'Bernard in the bottom of the pile'. Never any mention of Alford. Calhoun is a wait and see. At least he'll be valuable on sp. teams, and that's a good reason to keep him over butter fingers Cruz.

    My main concerns are:

    1. The running back situation. Unless Jacobs has a mental reincarnation, we don't have anyone who can carry a heavy load.

    2. Punt and KO returns. Calhoun has the speed, but we don't know if he has cut and run speed. BF Cruz can't be trusted to catch the ball that far down field. If we have to use Bradshaw here, we're really screwed.

    3. Who is taking Pierce's place at the helm?

  5. I think I know that place. It's right where Queens blvd crosses Roosevelt Ave. One night, a few of us stole my old man's '46 Packard which he just picked up for around $20. It needed a tune up real bad, and it was hard to start.

We went to this place called Gildae's, a bar back about 5 blocks on Queens blvd, and about the only place in the area where you can pick up chicks, which is ironic when you think about it. Queensboro is a fit name since, at that time at least, there were more gay bars than places where hetero chicks frequent.

Anyway, there was nothing going on, so we just drank ourselves silly. On the way back, since it was my old man's car, and I was the only one who knew how to drive a stick, or so I thought, I let it stall right in the middle of the intersection of Queens blvd and Roosevelt in a pouring down rain. There was a lot more traffic than you see in the pic, and I was worried about both the cops, and my old man finding out we borrowed his old pride and joy.

  6. Cruz or Calhoun. You can't have both!

From what little I've seen so far, my money's Calhoun. I like his speed after catching the ball, and his one arm tackle on sp teams.

Cruz? I don't know. I like his oomph, but he seems like one of those guys that will always beat us with mistakes.

  7. I don't think Blackburn will be cut for a few years. He can play all LB spots, doesn't constantly get injured and plays well on special teams. He may not be a super star but quality backups are just as important as starters. I'd say Kehl and Wilkinson are more likely to go before Blackburn.

Kehl? No way! Did you see him run down that receiver? He caught up to him and ran over Brown or someone to make the tackle. Vicious! They ought to see if he can block and carry a football, and turn him into another Larry Czonka.

Kehl, Goff, and Calhoun impressed me enough to at least make the roster.

  8. I have it all worked out. I scream for Cervelli's ass, and the next day he bangs in the go ahead run, then late in the game makes a game saving catch in the dirt with the tying run on third. The day before, I yelling for Joe G to send Nunez down and bring up a hitter. What does he do? His first homer and 4 rbi's. I think it's time I got on Jete's case.

  9. I say BS. We're down to one reliable starter in CC, maybe two if Nova can come through. What's Pettitte going to be like when he returns if he's worried about blowing out his groin again? AJ looks like a wash out at this point, and Hughes and Vasquez are only good against light hitting teams. There are no light hitting teams left on the schedule, and especially in the PO's, if we make it that far.

Now, to add to our worries, we're in sudden need of a capable catcher. Cervelli no longer looks like one, catching, throwing or otherwise. Posada is no better if he catches too often, which is 2 or 3 days in a row at his age. I doubt JG will bring up Montero or Romine this late, so that leaves Moeller if we still have him. Where is Jose when we need him?
