  1. "Well I make sure I wake up every Sunday at 11. I make sure I am at the bar at noon. When it is cool outside I make sure I wear my blue hoodie. If it is warmer then I wear a blue t-shirt. I wore a different hat every season. Last year it was my Giants hat. This year I am debating on wearing my Mets hat or buy a new Giants hat because it shrunk on me. Well back to getting to the bar at noon. I don't care if the Giants play at 1 or 4, I still get there at noon. Now an 8 pm game is a different story. I don't know what I am going to do next week. I probably wont get to the bar til later. Nothing beats football Sundays." <--- Football Every day would beat football on Sunday. :P
  2. Well when football season starts we should have all of our TVs in the store... so I'll come in and just turn on all 10 LCDTVs, crank the Home Theater System and kick back and watch pregames in my Giants jersey (Manning/Shockey/Barber/Toomer/LT/Simms) til we get a customer. :flex::rock:

  3. This is for whoever has the time to do it. I actually want two sigs done. I'd like one with the Giants and Mets and another with the Bulls and Lakers, each with my name in the center and a player from each team and the team name on the sides. If I confused anyone I mean something like this. (hoping this comes out right.)

Pic of Jose Reyes Dragon Pic of Tiki Barber

    NY Mets NY Giants

    Something to that effect.

I would like either Barber or Burress and David Wright or Jose Reyes in the Mets/ Giants sig and for the Lakers/ Bulls sig I would like Kobe Bryant and Ben Gordon. I you want I can fin pics for you. Thanx. :TU:

  4. I think that Cincy, Indy, and New England would have to disagree. As far as who won't be on your list from the AFC, I'd say that Houston would be the most likely to fall off, but seriously I don't see any of the teams that I listed falling out of the playoffs.

As far as the NFC goes, I'd say that the first two are correct and I think that Dallas will be in the playoffs as well, but I'm lost on the rest of the conference.

  5. The thing is... everyone is throwing the defense under the bus already, but they look like this every year in preseason because Lewis plays a vanilla defense in preseason. On top of that think about how many people were out. If it was the regular season and we played like that, I might be worried, but it's preseason and we didn't have a scrimmage to get us prepared like almost everyone else did. We'll see how the rest of the preseason goes and then we can make a true judgement.

  6. It's going to be the same thing it is every season. The assholes like Salisbury and Collingsworth are going to shit on the Giants all pre-season and Training Camp and write them off until the end of the season when they are 9 - 2. Then they'll be all praise and flowers for Eli, Tiki, the coahing staff and everyone else. If someone could do this board a HUGE favor and record some off-season remarks by those two asshats and then record their opinions after the mid season mark, for comparison, and then post those vids here, that would be fantastic.

Not only for us... we should email them to the asshole at NFL Live. :flex:

  7. Do you feel as though it's because of the offseason aquisitions that the Skins and the Cowboys made or because the 'experts' think that last years Giants team was a fluke? We are w/o a doubt, a better team than we were last year. I can;t see how people can think we'd drop so far in the rankings.

We are predicted to finish third because the experts that are making the predictions are complete idiots. They are basing their predictions on the fact that we had a horrible playoff game and not on the fact that we had a great season and offseason. We'll see what happens when the season starts, and once again those same experts will removing their feet from their mouths.

  8. Okay... I am getting really tired of hearing people complain about these voluntary workouts. I couldn't finish reading the article because it's sickening. Maybe it's me, but I only needed to see the ball come out of someone's hand once to know how they threw and where I need to be when they threw, so all this talk about timing doesn't mean a damn thing to me. On top of that he's making it seem like Shockey and Burress skipped workouts to go and party. If anyone followed the situation last year, there was a bunch of crap about Shockey skipping the voluntary workouts and he responded with his best season of his pro career. I am a firm believer in needing to help oneself before you can help someone else. Shockey was underperforming when he was training with the team, and we know what happened when he trained in Miami. Now I don't know about Burress because I haven't followed his career, but I'm sure that Manning appreciated the 7-8 TDs that Burress caught last year as well. Also if my memory serves me correctly, Toomer didn't go to the workouts either, so what's the deal with all this ill will towards Burress and Shockey?

Other than that, from what I was able to read before I became sick to my stomach, this guy doesn't seem to understand that it takes time for a QB to develop and considering that Manning threw 24 TDs and had his team win the toughest division in football in his first full season tells me that he's progressing nicely. Granted his production sputtered at the end of the year, but the causes (mechanics and predictability of play-calling) of that can be corrected easily. Besides that there's enough time in training camp to work with his teammates.

Some people may not agree with my POV, but that's their opinion and they're entitled to it. I just don't believe that this "problem" with the receivers skipping workouts is as serious as it's being made to be. Also Eli Manning will be amazing in the future and will be great this coming year. That's my two cents.

  9. C'mon...Seattle was lucky. They had a weak division and played against teams like the Texans and Titans. They were well rested.

I know, but I refuse to give Carolina or anyone else for that matter the nod over the champs until they are dethroned. Don't get me wrong... I can't stand Seattle, but the fact is that they are the NFC Champions meaning, regardless of how lucky they are, they are the team to beat in the NFC. And they will be surpassed by us. :flex:

  10. I agree on somethings. but keep in mind, just like us, Carolina headed into the Seattle playoff game hurt. They were down to their , what, 6th RB? and some of their OL were hurt too. Lets make no mastake about it, the Carolina Panthers a good team. I think its going to either them, Washington or us that will repesent the NFC in the SB.

Oh no I'm not denying that Carolina is good. I'm just saying that it's retarded to say that the Panthers or any team in the NFC for that matter should be considered to be better than the champs. This is exactly how I feel about the NFC East. It is absurd that anyone should be considered to be better than us when we are the defending division champions. As far as their RB/OL situation goes, you're absolutely right, but my point here is the same as before. No one wants to say that Carolina ran all over us due to us having close to or over 50% of our defense injured, so why should I give them the benifit of the doubt when their RBs and OL were performing well enough to get them to the NFC Championship game. Seattle out played them and in my mind Carolina shouldn't be rated higher.
