  1. Parcells and Belichick don't belong on it. You can put them in the sand below mount rushmore.

    Paul Brown

    Tom Landry

    Vince Lombardi

    George Halas

I'll put Bill Walsh up there too.

    Chuck Noll

    Shula

    Paul Brown

    Tuna

    Landry

    Lombardi

    Halas

    Welsh

    Belicek

Think "modern game" 1950 and later....

..........who else...and which 4 get cut in the mountain.

  2. I believe Jack creates a thread for each thought that pops up.

Ya know Jack does serve a purpose here.

Jack is one of very few people you can disagree with 99% of the time and without question know you are right 5 years later.

Nobody can move threads down the board like Jack does. It makes it look like a lot of people are creating threads.

Jack creates threads that make people respond before checking to see if that porn video downloaded.

If everyone agreed, we'd stop coming by.

  3. Oh nobody forgives the previous season until that snap on sunday sometime after 4:15. I know you'll be here, as will I. Bradshaw is going to be playing this season as if he should have been getting the contract Chris Johnson just signed in Tennessee.

    Cool

    I hear ya

    On the

Fumbles but it's a brand new year so let's just wait for him to fumble before we start bad mouthing the warrior RB who is now a wealthy man with extra motivation. ( his quotes lately are awesome )

  4. I believe in this group and that is something I haven't been able to say about the rest we've drafted in the past decade. This group looks and plays hungry. I'll rag on Greg Jones but remember that guys like Brandon Short and Dhani Jones rarely made the plays these guys have this preseason. Its actually been fun watching our linebackers for a change.

    Ok good point.

Trust this guy though. He will surprisingly good.

Also J Will and Herzlich have bright futures.

Times have changed starting this year for the

    LBers.

  5. Love life, hate fumbles. Yes, as much as Coughlin does. I'll keep talking about Bradshaw's fumbles just as much as everyone will never forget Barber's or forgive him for quitting on the team.

I'll give Bradshaw a pass on the fumbling when he reduces that number for two years in a row. Its not a miracle I'm looking for, just an improvement.

You really hating life or something?

  6. Jim,

Can't fault you for hoping for the best of possible outcomes. I suffer from the same disease, hope. I don't have a problem with Plaxico because of what he said, or even of him carrying a gun into a night club and shooting himself in the leg. My problem with Plaxico has been the same since his first season and the history that followed him from Pittsburgh. Plaxico is all about him, always has and always will be. Bringing him back was not going to make this a better team.

Tempest... I for one was hoping he grew up some and learned from his time in prison. Apparently, that is not the case. I recognize he's a great talent, and athletically, I believe he would still be a dangerous weapon and I did advocate for bringing him back at the time. Knowing where his head is at NOW, I wouldn't say the same thing. But there is a difference between recognizing what a player can give you on the football field and condemning behavior and his general attitude off the field.

  7. Wow so the people who swore up and down the board we needed him are back on the bandwagon to run him out of town again because you don't like what he said.

Didn't need him before he signed with the Jets, or after. He has a right to say what he wants and feel the way he does regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Shame on all of us for not sending get well Plax cards when he shot himself. :busted_cop:

  8. Is it 2003 again already?

    • first two picks injured: one IR'd; one has yet to put on full pads, let alone get the system down
    • lose our best tight end at the last minute
    • god only knows what happened with Smith
    • we hire another TE that retires days later
    • just about every injury we've had so far isn't only season-ending, but career-threatening
    • injuries are coming in bunches to specific positions--AGAIN

If we're getting hit this hard, this early, how the fuck are we going to look by week 10? I like our team, but at this rate we'll be fielding the waiver-wire by the end of the season.

Seriously, how many flukish injuries/roster losses are we going to deal with before the opening game?

  9. DJ Ware has spent a good number of seasons up and down and not quite putting it all together.

Andre Brown had a solid preseason but I would put him on the practice squad and have Da'rel Scott as the #3 RB. Andre Brown has bounced around the league quite a bit and he'll be safe on the practice squad. I can't think of a team that would pass on Da'rel Scott if he got cut.

  10. Scott scored New York's first touchdown when the Giants caught the Patriots completely offguard with a fake punt.

Scott, a running back out of Maryland who had a 97-yard run against the Bears earlier in the preseason, showed his explosive speed again. He took the snap and was around the right side before the Patriots realized what was happening. He made a quick cut across the middle then sprinted for the end zone, getting the Giants within 17-10 with 14:50 left.

"You could tell they had no clue," said Scott, who told Coughlin on the sideline that the fake would work. "Before the ball was snapped I knew it was going to be a big play. I could tell. They were kind of inside anyway and I just knew I was going to make a big play."

Coughlin said he couldn't remember the last time he called for a fake punt, but the Giants had been practicing and thought it would be good to get some video of it in a game situation. He'll like what he sees.

  11. He definitely sucks and these guys don't get contracts for really nice people. I don't blame Reese, I blame Grohl for convincing Sintim he could play in the NFL. Not interested in excuses, only results.

And Sintim might have sucked but I met him and he's a really really good guy and really has worked hrs and put in his all for us. Blame Reese not him.
