  1. Wow he was dressed and produced! It looks like the light bulb finally came on and he's in for a monster second half of the season. He could end the season with 8 catches for 20 yards and 4 tackles.

Beckum's stats in the first half.

    1 catch for 2 yards

    1 tackle on special teams.

This guy makes Sinorice look productive

  2. I don't mind the talking as long as it is backed up on the field. Antrel just happens to be the guy who backs it up on the field. I realize a few of you guys are deathly afraid of the Patriots so I understand the fear of giving them another reason to beat us like they did back in the super bowl.

    <_<

  3. You're right, it is a 40 second play clock. I'm still stuck in the 45 second play clock. Fact remains they could have burned off a lot more time off the clock by just running the ball. You are not running the ball to gain a first down, you are running the ball to burn time off the clock. The illegal formation penalty was a replay of the first down, if they ran it that would have burned the first time out. Still leave 3 downs to burn off 2 minutes off the clock. Yeah I know its tight but it was still remotely possible to get to the 2 minute warning.

Regardless of the streak Manning was on getting time off the clock was critical. For a team that just fails to convert it should be a priority.

There was 4 minutes left in the game, the play clock is 40 seconds. There's no way we get it to the two minute warning. And they did burn their timeout.

You don't run the ball in that situation when you've proven all game that you can't.

  4. Hey come on, Rocky has been trying to live up to that contract this year, second year in a row even!

he was just cut this year

bad mistake.......they chose Rocky (I'm not) Bernard instead

no one named rocky should be so non-existant

  5. Ok lets break it down a bit more. Regardless of how many yards necessary for the first down, run the fucking ball. Start the clock and make Miami burn the last timeout. If you run the ball three times and Miami only stops the clock once, that still takes the game clock down to the 2 minute warning which we didn't do by throwing the ball 3 times and giving the ball back to Miami exactly 22 seconds later. 1:30 vs 22 seconds. That is the difference between throwing three times in a row going for a first down and not making it versus running the ball three times and not making it, minimum. We could have punted right after the 2 minute warning and put the defense in a better position.

When there is 4 minutes on the clock and they have one timeout left, that is the time to run the ball.

The idea is to keep the ball until the end of the game. By getting a first down. Not to run 3 times and punt with plenty of time to tie or possibly win the game. Passing gave us the best chance of doing that. Especially when your team can't run the football.

Don't get me wrong, there's times to run the ball to run out the clock. But 4 minutes left is too much time. Especially when you're in your own end and have proven that you can't run the ball all game.

  6. In Gilbride's defense, Storm said he'd do the same thing.

I have no fucking clue what Gilbride was thinking on that last Giants drive. It's shit like that that is going to lose games against better teams.

How hard is it to run the ball up the middle three times and punt. Unfuckingbelievable.

And really, ENOUGH with DJ Nowhere.

Does it take an act of Congress to get Da'Rel Scott an opportunity.

I'm giving credit completely to Eli Manning for stealing a win despite shitty coaching on offense and defense today.

As far as Fewell is concerned....enough with the 4-2-5 bullshit already. Our run defense looks pathetic.

  7. I caught the better half part of the game, 4th quarter looked great. Even had a typical head scratcher series thanks to the unique playcalling by Gilbride.

We have the ball, in the lead, clearly we are going to try and take time off the clock with less than 4 minutes left so...

Gilbride calls up three passing plays after a five yard penalty for illegal formation on first down.

I'll wait till the end of the season to pass judgement on Fewell

  8. Coming out of the bye, we're going to see a healthier Giants team and one that looked at the last past 6 games to correct mistakes. Hopefully we will see a team tomorrow that handles the Dolphins as the winless team they are and carry this energy forward for the rest of the season.

  9. LOL, oh man you did it now. I predict a few members will disagree with your view.

Btw, I agree with you.

Scott is very intriguing.....bigger and faster than Bradshaw, with the ability to catch the ball.

Like Jacobs, he has had his share of injuries, though.

Still, Scott needs to start seeing the field.

    But I've noticed two arguments:

    When Bradshaw struggles.....the line sucks.

    When Jacobs struggles.....Jacobs sucks.

My opinion: Jacobs is a very good back that isn't getting enough work. I don't blame him for being frustrated, at all.

Ever since Jacobs lost his starting job, the Giants have gone nowhere. Maybe that's just a coincidence.

  10. Couldn't have come at a worse time. Some of you guys have pointed out that the organization tells these guys what they can and cannot take and have forgotten that Jimmy Kennedy was a late preseason pickup. He might have been taking something that he was unaware might cause him to fail the test prior to being signed.

When you add the lockout factor into the equation, he could possibly didn't have the information from NFL professional medical staff.

  11. Any given sunday

I hear plenty already about how this team or that team is bad. Right now I see quite a few teams that are surprising everyone around the league, winning and losing games.

You just lost at home to a bad Seahawks team who lost their starting quarterback. Saying you can easily go 10-6 or better seems like a big stretch.

Redskins are 3-1 and I think it will be difficult for us to go 9-7. I think 9-7 might end up being the best record in the NFC East though.
