  1. This I think is the biggest thing we miss from Tiki, abit of misdirection. He could take a shotgun screen with four defenders in the backfield and turn it into a 25 yard gain.
  2. ....so which one of our RBs isnt? Better yet what NFL RB isnt?
  3. Yeah it's not like a 5th and more then likely that conditional will be a 7th round pick are anything of value, especially when you have guys like Cofield, Alford, ect who can have some trade value to other teams. Plus lets not forget Sorgi is only signed on for one year, he's gone after this year unless we resign him, Sage will be with us for at least another three years. And we also got a somewhat proven KR/PR out of the mix.
  4. Never heard of him but I thought Slaton was their #1? Guess that's why I'm not a Texan fan.
  5. He'll have a chance to compete for the #2 spot behind Slaton.
  6. Yeah I just re-read what I posted and it came off like I wanted Jacobs gone. What I meant to say is it's time to move on from Jacobs being our #1 guy, Bradshaw and even Ware has shown the ability to make more plays when their on the field. Jacobs is still a good RB but he's not the same running back we gave the job too when Tiki retired and that's attributed to his running style that helped us to our third SB championship. I was just putting it out there that if the Giants did happen to trade/release the guy it wouldn't come as a big surprise to me anyways. We need another CB if Ross is going to be hurt and I'm pretty sure the package of Jacobs and Wilk for one would be a tempting offer. Jacobs is a Giants and I'm glad he is, I just want to see Bradshaw get the majority of the carries.
  7. With how Jacobs has been running and his price tag I could see us doing something with him, trade, release or even demoting him to a third down/short yardage back. I think it is time to move on from Jacobs, we got acouple good years out of him and that's alot more then we should of with his type of running style. Bradshaw, Ware and Gartelle(sp) Johnson have all impressed me this pre-season. Jacobs and Wilk for a solid CB to fill in our lacking third CB position? Could be a possibility.
  8. I don't see why we Jacob's needs a "fire lit under his ass" he's making what? 15 million in the first two years of his contract? Does he really need to be demoted to the #2 back to get him back to his old running style? Seriously I've been saying this for awhile and that was after Tiki retired we were only to get a couple good years out of Jacobs before we needed to find a serious replacement at RB. His early years in the league and his running style doesn't allow him to be the #1 guy for all that many seasons. In all honesty I think we have seen what the best Jacobs has to offer in his career and he should be happy that we haven't gone after that nice little paycheck he is getting week after week. Don't get me wrong I still think he is a good change of pace back + short yardage guy, but he is nothing like he was in his first couple of seasons starting. Sorry Jacobs, it's time for the Giants to move on and the future is Bradshaw for now.
  9. Great stop there by our LBs, Goff and Kehl basically solidified their spots on the team. Sorry Wilk, guess your the odd man out.
  10. I think we're Cruuuuuuzzzin into the regular season this year.
  11. Watched two of them yes, one vs N.E and the other against Miami. NFL network repeats all the pre-season games over and over again and when I'm doing stuff around the house I'm usually watching them as well. Am I not allowed to watch other teams? And on the topic of Osi, why would they want him when their D-line is one of their strongest strengths of their team? Their LB core is what needed help so they helped the need with their draft pick.
  12. Have you bothered to watch any of the Falcons pre-season games? Go watch one of them and see how "beast" he is. He looks lost and confused most of the time and is slower then shit which is odd because he was rated one of the faster LBs in this years draft. He will take a couple years before he even breaks the Falcons starting lineup. McClain is the only LB who is starter ready out of the draft and has looked that way in the Raiders pre-season games. This draft was the worst for LBs in recent history and we had no chance of upgrading our LB core outside of knowing that Al Davis was going to learn how to draft and pick McClain ahead of us.
  13. So what LB during the draft would you have taken with the Giants pick?
