njsmalls
No doubt in my mind the Red Sox will win the world series. Every divisional series (except Phils v. Brewers because that's irrelevant to the Yankees) is going in a way that can embarass the Yankees. So, it's logical conclusion is another world championship for the Red Sox. Congratulations. Trying to put the old whamma-jamma on us, huh nj? Still a very long way to go. We haven't proven that we can beat the Rays in a big game yet this year. Then there's Manny and the Dodgers looming on the horizon.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Rays just choke it up once they see that "B" and realize they're in the ALCS.

Yeah, I think the pressure on the Rays will be ratcheted up as they move along, and I also like the fact that their pitching seems hittable so far (the White Sox just can't seem to come up with the big hit). Still, they haven't been fazed by anything (pennant race, ALDS) yet this year.
so-cal dub
I wouldn't go that far. It's obvious the Sox have the Angels number. I dont think they'll have such a cake walk against Tampa.
fringe
Does terry francona always eat thru the entire game? every time the camera was on him he was opening a wrapper of food or eating something.
mickeef2
Does terry francona always eat thru the entire game? every time the camera was on him he was opening a wrapper of food or eating something. He mixes bubble gum and chewing tobacco together and chews it. They usually show him during a tense part of the game, and that's when he starts chomping on that stuff. I never heard of mixing the two together before him, and it would seem like it would be pretty nasty.

Herc
heh, the chewing tobacco alone is disgusting, but that and bubble gum seems like a really weird combo to me. you're prob not going to enjoy either taste right?
mickeef2
thats disgusting You know, I've actually been watching him the last couple of nights and I don't think he's doing the gum/tobacco thing. I know he has tried to quit that for a long time. It looks now like he's eating some kind of seeds or something.
so-cal dub
Baseball players have been chewing tobacco mixed with gum for years. Nothing new there.

LorfTVP
Nobody will ever make Matsuzaka pay for his walks and high pitch count...ever. Apparently not...an amazing performance...just surviving. But that's the way he does it...and all in all, 4 BBs and 4 hits in 7+ innings isn't bad, especially when 3 walks were in the first and he only allowed 5 baserunners in the other six innings. More strikeouts than usual which helps tremendously. It's always a tightrope though.
njsmalls
Thank the fucking lord I don't need to see dipshits like Pedroia, Youkilis and Papelbon win another World Series. For fuck sakes the Red Sox can't make every fucking comback ever. Jesus H. Christ.

Pig Sloppy and Juice-Head werent very good in this series but I think it was watching the impotence of Captain tough guy that really put a smile on my face.
