BlueInCanada
After winning Super Bowl LI with the New England Patriots, tight end Martellus Bennett was bullish on his chances of landing a lucrative new contract in the offseason. That deal came from the Green Bay Packers, who scooped up the tight end Friday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. http://www.sbnation.com/2017/3/10/14542994/2017-nfl-free-agency-martellus-bennett-signs-packers I'm still surprised JR thought this guy wasnt worth another contract. Lughead
Well if he was so good why did NE let him go? Yeah they have Gronk but it's getting so Gronk can't finish a year with out being injured.

He was, but the Bears paid him more than he was worth.

The franchise could turn over the entire roster every season and still make the playoffs.

Oh I forgot , NE did trade INDY for Dwayne Allen On March 9, 2017, the Colts traded Allen and a 2017 sixth round draft pick to the New England Patriots for a 2017 fourth round draft pick
BlueInCanada
Yeah which is what makes this cooks trade so weird. At this point in time I don't think anything Billy does is anything less than football genius. Maybe they are more concerned about Gronk then they will let people believe. Maybe they want a starting WR who can run more than simple 15 yard routes.
Herc
He's a burner, not someone who runs a million great routes. He also plays like crap outdoors.

People said Randy Moss was the same thing heading into NE. Straight line runner who could only play in a dome and was well over the hump. Worked out pretty well for NE. Herc
moss looked like an all time great from jump street. He dogged it for a couple of years in Oakland but nobody has ever confused him with Brandon cooks. Moss also cost just a fourth round round pick
